Sleeping in the same bed with your bf/gf?

Don't think it's a sin, but it's certainly asking to be tempted.
 
I don't believe a bf/gf can do that without it leading to sex. And if they can, it means they probably arent in love.
 
I think it would be ok. As long as you are both on the same page about no sex before marriage. I think its going a little far saying that if you can sleep in the same bed without having sex means your not in love. I think it would be possable. As long as you have a back up plan for those times when temptation is knocking on the door like someone goes to sleep on the couch! lol
 
All I can say is, tried it and gave in, so I guess I'm kind of weak in that area! (I've bypassed the temptation by not having a boyfriend for 6 years, ha.) :)
 
Its a bad bad idea, you can only do that for so long without it leading to sex
 
lol I dont think that if you can do that without having sex it means you dont love the person.. but yes i think it would be a big temptation. Also the verse comes to mind that says "Obstain from the appearance of evil." And although you and your girlfriend may not be doing anything sexual.. it may appear that way to outsiders. but iiii dont have much experience in this department so take what i said with a grain of salt :)

Oh PUHHLEASE! Thats like putting choclate in front a baby and telling them not to eat it.
 
Hmm....well, I think that you cannot unring a bell. Once you get to a certain point with someone then your mind never goes back...it ALWAYS wants more. You then want what you don't have.

I do not think that it is a good idea at all to sleep in the same bed. Just to great of a temptation of the body and mind and heart that can be avoided by just not going there at all.
 
I'm not sure I even wanna sleep in the same bed with my husband one day lol.....particularly if he snores, steals the covers and pokes me with his toe nails :p

but yea, BAD BAD IDEA TO SLEEP IN THE SAME BED AS BF/GF. I didn't mean that to be in caps, but the cap lock was on, but now that I look at it, it gets the point across nicely lol
 
I agree. It is not a good idea. I can imagine that it is easier for women though than for men. :)

When I am visiting my boyfriend I always sleep in a different bed and in a separate room... even when we are on holidays (well in a separate bed then).
 
Really, if you aren't tempted sleeping next to your bf/gf then you probably aren't in love. You aren't sleeping next to your bf or gf but your sister or brother.

You're not "weak in that area", as if it is something you should be able to do (i.e. sleep in the same bed and resist all temptation), you are normal. Which is why setting boundaires (not sleeping in same bed) is important.

No one can tell me that any Christian who is stupid enough to sleep in the same bed as their bf or gf (unless in extenuating circumstances, eg no other possibilitiy of accomodation) , is serious about taking God's commands about fornication and marriage seriously.

I totally agree with you on that. It's like seeing how close you can get without giving in instead of ''fleeing youthful lusts'' as Paul commands.
 
I love sleeping next to my gf...I get such a good sleep. I don't care what I am sleeping on or how uncomfortable it is, if I can wrap my arms around her I can fall asleep listening to her breath. Its the best way to get a good night sleep. I can go to bed 4 AM and wake up 3 hours later feeling refreshed and feeling good ready to face today. Like homer simpson said, "I just can't wait to get home and curl up in bed next to you"
