So about the End times

Everyone has been saying that Jesus is coming again soon because of all the awful stuff that has happened and how some of it matches what was said in the Bible. Whenever I hear something bad or see something bad in the news, I like to joke “Take me now Jesus, ready to go”, lol. But I dunno know, I’m just trying to have the mindset of: “No one can predict the end times or Rapture”, and I think I’m fine with that for now. Actually I wanted to bring attention to this YouTube video:

Yes I know the person who made the video might not be Christian, but I was alive when the stuff in this video happened and I don’t remember any of it, doing the math cause it happened in 2011, I was only 16 and focused on nerd stuff, but I still find it legit weird that I don’t remember this stuff happening, cause I used to be into watching the “5:30pm news block” around 16, that much I do remember.

But anyway just share your opinions ^_^

Agreed, yeah just been thinking about it whenever I’m on Facebook and see posts saying: “THE END IS COMING! WE MUST REPENT!”, I try my best to repent and change, and I’m definitely not against repenting, but it seems like everyone is so worried about what is happening in our world, that it just fills their life with worry and stress, that’s how it comes across to me anyway. But yeah ever since I’ve chosen my mindset of: “God decides everything”, I’ve been feeling good overall.

Here's an end times theory that may be fun to think about..............

The anti-christ and false prophet will follow almost the same script that Jesus Christ and John the Baptist followed......

Their mothers - Mary and Elizabeth were cousins and Jesus and John the Baptist were second cousins so, the anti-christ and false prophet will be second cousins.......

There were Gentile magi astronomers and an astrological sign (Bethlehem Star) when Jesus Christ was born so, there will be Gentile astronomers and an astrological sign when the anti-christ is born.......could the astronomers had been the Mayans and they stopped their calendar on December 21-25, 2012 because they could tell a king was born that would bring an end to the world.......don't we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ on Dec. 25th yet, we know He was actually born sometime in late September........

John the Baptist was born 6 months before Jesus Christ so, if the anti-christ was born Dec. 25, 2012 then the false prophet was born in June of 2012.......

We know Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem and had to flee King Herod which slaughtered all the male babies birth to 2 years old.....so, where is the anti-christ to be born? In the book of Isaiah - he refers to the Assyrian that will come......so, if the anti-christ is an assyrian then he was born in Syria on Dec. 25, 2012.......and there would have had to have been a massive slaughter in Syria between 2013 and 2014.......and there was.....a lot of slaughtering going on which included men, women and lots of children.......

So, Joseph took Mary and baby Jesus Christ to Egypt and fled in the night from Bethlehem. Possibly, the anti-christ and his family were Syrian refugees.........

At 12 years old, Jesus Christ was in the Temple in Jerusalem "about His Father's business"........so, in Dec of 2024, Satan will enter the anti-christ and be about his business......the anti-christ like Judas that betrayed Jesus Christ when Satan entered him will now be the son of perdition........

Like John the Baptist, the false prophet will be announcing the soon coming arrival of the one that will rule the world and all are to worship him.......

Like Jesus Christ, at the age of 30 the anti-christ will enter the public arena and make himself known and begin his "ministry" of death which will be in Dec 2042/Jan 2043........

Like Jesus Christ the anti-christ will only have 3 1/2 years, not 7 because the first 3 1/2 years of tribulation was the Real Christ - Jesus and the last 3 1/2 years of tribulation will belong to the anti-christ....so, the very end of the world would be sometime in June of 2046.........

No one knows the day or hour but, we know it is near and knowing the month and year is not the same as the day or hour........

This theory goes against just about EVERY Christian belief concerning the 7 years of tribulation and the anti-christ/false prophet but, still........might as well throw it into the ring and let time tell..........

The late John Paul Jackson had a prophecy about the woes of 2012 but he didn't understand it and the late secular astrophysicist Stephen Hawkings was known for saying planet Earth will not be able to sustain life in about 100-200 years.......so, the end is fast approaching...........it's a great day to call on the Name of Jesus Christ and get saved!

I believe both their method of the "maths" is incorrect (using the "day-to-year" principle but applied improperly), as well as their idea that Revelation has been unfolding since the first century (is flawed also). Verse 1 of Revelation says, "[The] Revelation of Jesus Christ which GOD GAVE UNTO HIM [/unto Jesus] to SHOW UNTO His servants things which must come to pass [<--compare that wording with 1:19c and 4:1] IN QUICKNESS [NOUN]..." ("IN QUICKNESS [NOUN]," not adverbs like "soon" or "quickLY" or "immediateLY" etc; i.e. not things which would unfold over the past some 2000 years, as the "Historicist" viewpoint has it.)

I agree, in that, "Historicism" [and related 'eschatology'] wasn't the only thing he got wrong by means of improper [method of] "interpretation". He was "off" on other doctrines as well... you're right about that.

Thanks, I figured the video might be interesting to people on here, especially since it seems like everyone is worried what the future will be like, I’m trying to be optimistic and just letting God guide us all, cause we have no control on what will happen, that is all under God’s control.

Yeah, a lot of people have got a LOT bent out of shape about it.

The Bible does mention signs and tells us to watch for them, but it specifically says that when we see them we should look UP. Not around in fear, not inward to find some inner light and peace, not down, but up.

The thing is bible prophecy is the meat of meats in the word of God it isn't that no one can predict the end times rather that you have to really be into studying it it is a lot of work a lot of scripture a lot of history searching connecting the dots ect. Close to 69% of the bible is prophecy not just for the end times either.
People cannot rely on simply on visions dreams and prophetic uttering in fact that is likely the minor part of it you have to have a real passion for the subject you need to be willing to look into far more than bible prophecy itself you have to go into areas you never thought you would explore such as the Jews vast history their customs and form of doing things the way they use their language and words not just knowing or understanding the language but how it is used why it is used in that way what the meaning and purpose of each verse is for in both that time era it was written and the rest of future history.

Bible prophecy also foreshadows a lot as well it points to something implies the event or it can just be downright symbolic and no amount of research will explain it without the interpretation from the holy spirit himself and one major factor is Israel no matter what time frame past present or future they are always the centerpiece in prophecy.

Needless to say it is not an easy subject to study and requires dedication beyond the norm but this is why I find it such a fascinating subject the depth and richness of it reveals so much more than prophecy it reveals the way God works how he uses all creation how he deals with the Jews and the world and in essence the entire love story that is the bible.

Topics like this are for BDF residents as blood in the water is for sharks.

If you haven't seen it yet, BDF (Bible Discussion Forum) is (ostensibly) a place to discuss topics just like this. Unfortunately it has become a place for debaters to debate, mostly to prove they are right and everybody else is wrong, and to insult each other whenever they disagree. They usually keep the carnage to their own battlefield of a forum, but occasionally somebody will notice a topic like this when it is posted in another forum, and then the feeding frenzy is on!

Now that doesn't mean you should stop posting threads like this, and it doesn't mean you should post them somewhere else. Misc. Forum is about the best place to post them - you SURE don't want to post them in the BDF and get them torn apart. And these topics should be discussed, because these are important things that we need to talk about.

I said all that to say this: Don't be surprised if some very, very contentious people notice your threads and start wreaking havoc in them. Just so you know.

But don't let that stop you from making more threads.

I have always had this half-baked thought that Jesus is going to come back right at a time when everyone left on the earth is at their weakest point in their spiritual walk, and therefore, it would be the test of all tests.

I understand that the Bible warns of impending doom and disaster as sign posts for the last days, but in my Christian school, our teachers pointed out that all the same signs ("wars and rumors of wars", etc.) were happening back in Jesus' day and because of this, his disciples thought He was going to come back in THEIR lifetime. (I'm not saying for certain that all of Jesus' followers believed this, I'm just repeating one of the discussions that came up.)

The Bible reminds us that even before the Flood, people were eating and drinking and carrying on, because they expected life to go on as they had known it. They had no idea the Flood was coming, even though they were warned. And the Bible also says that in the end times, two workers will be working in the field, and one will be taken, while the other is not. In other words, people will be carrying on as if tomorrow will again be just another day, just as they did before the Flood.

I personally believe that Jesus will come back at a time when absolutely no one expects it, and each person is going through their own greatest spiritual test. For some people, this might actually be a time of prosperity or great influence and success.

Even the Biblical giants of faith usually stumbled the most when things were going WELL for them, and not falling to pieces. At a time when kings were usually out to war, David was out prowling around watching women take baths, which eventually led to covetousness, adultery, and finally, murder.

Gideon, who originally told God he was from the smallest tribe and the least of his fellow brethren, became entangled in pride when God empowered him, and eventually asked the people for their gold jewelry, with which he made an ephod that the people then worshiped as a deity.

Solomon was granted everything a human being could have asked for, but fell into idolatry by the hundreds of wives that God told his kings never to acquire (Deuteronomy 17:17 -- "Neither shall he (the king) multiply wives for himself, lest his heart turn away.")

For some, times of trouble might be their greatest test, either pushing them toward God or bringing out the hardness within their hearts that causes them to turn away.

But for others, I truly believe it could very well be that their biggest test is when their lives are at an all-time high, because the good times are often when a believer forgets God and takes the credit for his or her "own" accomplishments.

I know some Christian brothers and sisters believe that if a person is truly saved, they will still be so, even if they should die at a moment when they aren't following God (what if David would have died right after wooing Bathsheba and killing Uriah, but hadn't yet repented -- would have have gone to heaven?) But for those who claim the faith but aren't truly saved or, if it IS possible to fall away from God... Their biggest temptations might occur during what seems to be the most prosperous and enjoyable times of their lives.

Of course, this is all just my own speculation -- I am NOT in any way saying that this is how it will all happen, but I've just always thought that if God said no one knows the hour or the day, the end will come at a time when absolutely no one on earth is expecting it, whether the circumstances in their lives are currently good or bad.

God the Father gave us the information contained in Revelation so that we could indeed know that the gathering of the church is getting close, with the time of God's wrath via the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments to follow.

The mark of the beast for example, is a good indication that we are living in the last generation. The fact that we have people in Sweden and other countries being inserted with RFID Chips under the skin of the hand which is being used to make purchases (buying) is a good indicator.

I have been studying and watching the mark of the beast technology ever since the first ATM's came out, which was followed by the Universal Product Code (UPC), and then the Point of Sale system (POS). The mark will eventually replace all other methods of buying and selling, leaving only that mark to electronically credit and debit one's bank account. This is why we have been seeing cash and checks continuing to be phased out so that the world is dependent upon electronic buying and selling, which is in preparation for that coming antichrist/beast.

The meaning is that, if we can see this mark of the beast technology taking place, then we know that the Lord's coming to gather His church is very near. Regarding the gathering of the church, Jesus to continue to watch and be ready. We can't be ready if we have the mindset of "when it happens, it happens." According to scripture, we are supposed to be looking forward to and anticipating the appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, which is the blessed hope.

Indeed, we cannot know the time of the Lord's return, but we can know when it was getting close, which is why He left us these clues. No other generation can make the claims that we can today.

You are probably referring to those who are not Christians.

Christians -- by definition -- should be the least worried about trends on earth, since God has already revealed to us what will happen between the first coming of Christ and the establishment of the New Heavens and the New Earth. While many details have not been disclosed, the blueprint is there in Scripture.

Just keep in mind that the Lord has already told us that there be be (1) false apostles, (2) false prophets, (3) false teachers, and (4) false brethren, before the Antichrist is revealed and takes total control for 3 1/2 years. We are now in the midst of the Great Apostasy preceding that event. And Harold Camping is a false prophet and a false teacher leading people astray.

When I was still trying to figure things out, I posted once in BDF (It was about Communion), and that was it. It wasn’t bad but I think I’ve been enjoying the singles, young adults, and miscellaneous forums more, I dunno why but I just do. I like giving opinions, and saying where I stand, but that’s about it. I figured if I left this video link in BDF, everyone would not be happy that the video has bad language. I just wanted to show the video because I think it was legit interesting and ties in very well with what is happening nowadays. I do not support bad language, yes I watch stuff with bad language and sometimes I slip up, especially if it’s something I’m really into like playing online modes or playing games like Mexican train, but if someone asked me if I support bad language then I would definitely say no. But as we are human, we are flawed and will mess up, not saying that as excuse but as a fact. Only Jesus was the perfect one for he was sinless (If I’m wrong please correct me, I have read the Bible, but only as pieces with bible studies and church lessons, I know I need to read the whole bible and I will one day, did try once but got distracted, hopefully since I feel like I know God better, I can try again soon ^_^)

It always feels like the end times. But people have thought it was the end times since 2000 years ago. Sometimes it feels that way with the way things are going now. But ultimately, I don't know.

The thought of escaping this world sounds really nice. I'm really weary of everything that is going on. However, we could still be in for another 1000 years. We have to keep working right until Jesus comes back.
