i know we have computer-scientists and engineers here, too, tho i can't remember anyone's names off top of head
in fact, i had a course in biophysics, and the professor, while teaching us how protein molecules fold, explained how that the details of this and other biological processes convinced him to give up his atheism and believe that life must have been designed, that the facts left no other honest explanation. at my 'liberal university' no less. an agnostic astrophysics professor did the same thing in another class while explaining how the fine tuning of fundamental constants defies random probabilistic interpretation.
my experience has been that there are far fewer atheists in science than 'common Christian wisdom' leads us to believe, though they may only be agnostic or deist. this is especially true about people in life sciences. the fact is that there are atheists also, and that many of these atheists are very loud and outspoken 'evangelists' of a sort that dominate the airwaves & because they tend to be very clever and persuasive men, sharply critical of arguments, they can also greatly intimidate others into silence about the subject.
