Now it's digital, it's all numbers.
Young people nowadays have never known anything else. Money is abstract.

Churches now have eftpos machines, or pay online, I do recall going to one and they had fill out your credit card numbers on a form so they can take your donation. Then they'll take it every week automatically if you let them. It's income for them.

It seems you either have time, or money, never both unless you are a rich retired person like one of the 1%

God doesn't want your money, He doesn't even need it.
Jesus clearly demonstrated it in the gospel. It's people who want money just so they can boast how much they earn/have accumulated.
Banks can now make money out of thin air, literally. I think its Fiat money?

That wasn't a quote you see the question mark at the end something I was just remembering
now what Do you do with that ,witch is written from you to Another ?.bury it as dead ? use it for life For All to See?.God HS wrote on their heart and Paul enjoy seeing his work Of the holy spirit showing in them ,not of Paul himself but Christ. bottom line He and they all glorified God thing is we not Paul we are His Seperate and we have our own times with Holy Spirit People seem to teach
if Paul didn't say it The Lord won't honor it .Learn the principles and I'm sure Paul wants more of me or you .Ever think on that? He just said it in the script didn't end there,,!

Well the thing with taxes, is in my country, its meant to be spent for the good of the people - ie schools, hospitals, the elderly - the people who need things like education, healthcare and comfort in their old age, and things like infrastructure so we can connect with each other - power/electricity, telecommunications, public transport - rail, buses, ferry.

But it depends on the govt in power what they do with the budget.
So I think it was one Prime Minister Richard Seddon who instigated the Welfare State. This was meant to be active Christian Charity, as he was a Christian and thought that was the practical thing you did with taxes.

He was left wing or liberal as you might call it. When people laboured, they paid a part of their wages as taxes - it automatically comes off your wage in the form of PAYE - pay as your earn. usually its 10 percent. If you don't earn a wage, i.e not a labourer, and earn a salary or other kind of income, you need to calculate your taxes for the given year and pay that according to your tax bracket. So if you earn more or over a certain threshold you pay 25% or 33% or something like that. Industries that made a profit, and that could vary over any given year.

Also we pay GST on goods and services, it used to be 12.5% now its gone up to 15% so anything you bought had the GST added and that part was built into the price of many things. eg everytime you buy something, you pay a tax.

But thing is...a lot of rich people, because they have to pay more relatively because they make so much more than those on wages/fixed incomes, think they shouldn't have to pay tax (especially when they sell a house/property) and try to get tax breaks and vote in govt that cuts tax, so they can spend on other things that may or may not benefit the country. And then essential services, people think its better to hav user pays, and have everyone working so they don't become dependant on welfare.

But that only benefits a small number of people, or the elite who have enough capital to own businesses, not always for the good of the people but whatever makes a profit. And they resent any taxes being spent on the underserved. They reckon no children should have the govt pay for school lunches cos they reckon its the parents responsibility to feed children lunch at school (ie. take your own) and that you need to pay for your own healthcare and medicines and education.

Anyway, the thing is not everyone likes paying tax or what the govt is choosing to spend it on.

Now imagine you on a fixed income (wages are usually set to a certain amount per hour and believe you me businesses often will just pay the bare minimum they can get away with) which barely covers the cost of living..ie food, bills, transport - and you join a church that asks you to tithe your income 10% on top of what you ALREADY pay in taxes.

What are the tithes going towards? Usually its to pay the mortgage and bills and admin of the church. it's not going toward hospitals and schools which are free to everyone regardless of race or creed/religion.

Anyway...I could go on but that's just some of the realities of life (death and taxes) and also, nobody likes the tax collector and everyone has different opinions on what tax should be spent on.

The government should NEVER be a welfare institution. The moment that do the abuses you so accurately identify become inevitable.

Too late

I think that at the time it was instituted, there was a huge depression and people just could not take care of themselves. There was no work/jobs so there were public work schemes instead where people built roads etc for token pay in order to stimulate the economy.

Absolutely, but there were government attempts to buy votes worth charity long before the Great Depression.

The system of corps is cus men cant handle their own affairs meaning not responsible . Like babys then never educated to be the madter ,that's why everything is insurance . Permits corperation It actually The Her. To be the master as we are to be men is to not be in The her system. Men that handle all their affairs living as the 3 laws of The Land .churches no matter cow or gods of Jesus all are governed in The same Group of permits occupancy tax exemp etc as a whole they are just One group serving The government madter as they Gov may cakk men Young master . Look at court its actually a church takes all the young madters to a place of equal setting on legal laws .bible says take you disagreements to the church but don't know it's where men are suppose responsible Lawfull. Why i post is the churches are all in the same group and it is Not Lawfull and it's a group of all men Good and Evil making good evil or having the good serve the evil that is not the will coming out of her is the call when you hear it from the Lord and it sets in he would want to start banging sticks because you know we error greatly against The Lord God

Well, not everyone lives in a theocracy.
I think you'll find that the non-catholic churches can be different everywhere and plenty are independent and outside a tightly controlled religious organisation that has it's own HQs in the Vatican (an entire separate country) which is called the Holy See.

I have never been to the Vatican, but plenty of people have to see the Pope and gawk at the rich beyond belief Sistine Chapel, and all the baroque churches and cathedrals which must have cost a pretty penny.

I mean in the US you really only have the White House as an example of the centre of power, but the Vatican is it's entire country, has billions of dollars at it's disposal, and owns all the stone church/cathedrals and all the riches within. Those churches are massive monuments, with arches, stained glass windows, iconography, gold chalices, the censers, the vestments, massive murals on the ceilings the works! And they are centuries old!

The US is a relatively young country and has only been established for 300 or so years. NZ is only really around 200 years old since Samuel Marsden preached the first gospel on NZ shores.

The US celebrated its 150th anniversary July 4. So, you are absolutely correct, it is very young.

Stop your nit-picking, u-no, typo, ho-ho.
I wasnt. I just havent see your ID in a bit, i should said Hi.

I’m curious, when Yeshuah returns for his bride, what will he think about the church?
Hasn't He already thought about her bad posture? ", , stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”
Lk 21:28
