The sabbath was sanctified at creation.
What can we conclude from the fact that God blessed the Seventh Day prior to the Mt. Sinai Covenant

Two options ... it was made holy for man to remember.
... it was made holy for man to forget.

Mar 2:27-28
27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: 28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

It was made at creation.
It was made FOR MAN.
All mankind.

The absence of the sabbath in the bible records does not prove that God's faithful people did not keep it.

Isa 66:22-23
22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain. 23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

We have a problem Houston.

Your saying that Abraham had the law as in the Mt Sinai law as shown above.

Yet Paul states the following.

Galatians 3:16-18
Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as referring to many,
but rather to one, “And to your seed,” that is, Christ. What I am saying is this: the Law, which came four hundred and
thirty years later
, does not invalidate a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to nullify the promise. For if the
inheritance is based on law, it is no longer based on a promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by means of
a promise.

We also have the verse below.

Deuteronomy 5:2-3
The Lord our God made a covenant with us at Horeb. The Lord did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us,
with all those of us alive here today.

So logically, Abraham certainly did not have the law of Mt Sinai.

Care to explain Genesis 26:5 and what commandments, statutes, law, it is referring to?

God is not double minded He is the same today and for ever.
Nor is He the author of confusion, but He is of Order.

For Christ to be without sin, which John clearly states is 4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law,
then Christ had to obey the Torah perfectly.

there can only be ONE Law, One Torah, The Torah is kept in the Mercy Seat of God the Father, I am not aware of any others.

to believe otherwise would mean God is judging every one by different sets of Laws, if that were the case, by which is He judging YOU? you better find out which, fast!

Yes I am aware of "grace" the "get out of jail for free card". say the magic words "I believe", and salvation is locked in place for ever.
No action needed, once and done!

A huge wake up call is coming and it is coming fast.

The NT reveals that every day should be sanctified until recreation.

I do not think the whole Torah is in the Ark.. the Torah was placed in the side of the ark. As a witness AGAINST the people. Deu 31:26.

The Ark of God contains the eternal and immutable law of ten commandments, written by the finger of God on two tables of stone. Deuteronomy 10:4-5
The Ark also contained a golden pot of manna and Aaron’s rod that budded. Hebrews 9:4

And you shall put the mercy seat above on the ark; and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I shall give you.
Exodus 25:21

And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightning, and voices, and thunder, and an earthquake, and great hail.
Revelation 11:19

The ark on earth was a copy of the Heavenly. And we need mercy for transgressing the 10 commandments.

They are unchanging.
7 The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure. 8 They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.
Psalm 111:7-8

And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one pronunciation mark of the law to fail. Luke 16:17

Have you read Genesis 26: 5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws. The word "law" is the Hebrew word Torah in which are the 10 commandments the Sabbath and the 7 Holy Feasts of God.

Lexical Summary
torah: law, instruction, laws

The reason all of this is not clear --- is exactly what Christ told His 12 --11 But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.

unless the Father opens a persons mind to HIS Truth --- it can not be understood which is proven by the tens of thousands of diverse churches all divided in what they believe. There is ONE Body of Christ not tens of thousands.

out of 8 plus billion alive today only maybe 20% or 25% claim to be some kind or type of christian,
Even IF all 2 billion claiming to be a christian were to be given eternal life -- 6 billion are dead.
Is God that weak He can only save 25%?? or is this only A day of salvation with another to come?
Christ said He is not willing that any be lost ---- but 75% is OK?
and what about the billion or more before He came?

I have heard some preachers say that billions are in hell now suffering --- what mercy, what love does that show?

Genesis 26:5 does not specifically say which laws, statutes and commandments that Abraham kept. To say it was the 10 commandments given through Moses in Exodus is speculation.

If every man from Adam to Moses kept the Sabbath, why is the Hebrew word for the weekly Sabbath not found in the book of Genesis? Why is no one before Moses ever commanded to keep the Sabbath? Why are there no examples of anyone keeping the Sabbath before Moses? Why were the Patriarchs never instructed about the Sabbath but were instructed regarding: Offerings: Genesis 4:3-4, Altars Genesis 8:20, Priests: Genesis 14:18, Tithes: Genesis 14:20, Circumcision: Genesis 17:10, Marriage: Genesis 2:24 and Genesis 34:9. Why would God leave out the Sabbath command in Genesis if it was for everyone to keep before Moses?

The sabbath was not given to all the nations. It was given to the nation of Israel. Look at Deuteronomy 5:1-15, which gives the commandments to Israel. 2 The Lord our God made a covenant with us in Horeb. 3 The Lord did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, those who are here today, all of us who are alive.

Nehemiah 9:13 - "Then You came down on Mount Sinai and spoke with them from heaven; You gave them just ordinances and true laws, Good statutes and commandments. 14 So You made known to them Your holy sabbath, and laid down for them commandments, statutes and laws, Through Your servant Moses."

Fact: the bible was not written to be understood by the mind of man.
Proof: there are 10's of thousands of churches with diverse doctrines - not enough room to list even the major ones
if the Bible was easy to understand there would not be tens of thousands of churches, only ONE, the ONE began on Pentecost 31 AD.

the 120 assembled to observe the Feast of Pentecost including Mary, Jesus's mother, why? How is it they did not know the Torah and the Sabbath and the 7 Holy Feasts of God were all now buried in the tomb with Christ?
Looks like they did not get the memo from Christ that He was ending obedience to the Torah.

Right now, because the Word is not understood, all sin in done in ignorance. Even on this blog most believe obeying is not required.

the existing Torah was put in the Old Covenant as the "Consideration" due from the Children of Israel.

" Consideration is a required element in contract law, representing a "bargained-for exchange" of value between parties. It must be something of legal value—a promise, act, or forbearance—that is exchanged for a return promise or performance. Without consideration, an agreement is generally not legally enforceable and may be considered a gift."

It had been pass down by word of mouth since Adam until the Covenant.

How did this king know that adultery was a sin, how did he even know sin existed?

9Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him, What hast thou done unto us? and what have I offended thee, that thou hast brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? thou hast done deeds unto me that ought not to be done.

All those rules and regulations the Israelites kept for idk how long, and the Gentiles are accepted as sons of God just by believing in the Son. "...'and you make them equal to us who have born the burden and the scorching heat of the day.'...'Did you not agree with me on one Denarius? Take your pay and go...Or are you envious because I am generous?'" (Matt 20:1-16).

Or are you still waiting for your wages? Or has not our Lord accepted the wages for you? "For the wages of sin is death."

Ecc 12:13-14
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Jas 2:10-13
10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. 11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. 12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. 13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.

Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

HIS COMMANDMENTS.
GODS COMMANDMENTS.
1Jn 2:3-4
3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

"The letter that kills" seems fairly grievous though, if only for the fact that no one, other than the Son, born of woman, born under the law, in order to deliver those under the law, can keep them. If I told you, keep this set of fine china for me, and if I return and find even one chip, you're dead." How grievous would you be? Oy vey.

you are correct the Torah is on the side of the ark

Yes the letter of the Torah, transgressed, bring death.
But the Commandments are life eternal.
17And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? [there is] none good but one, [that is], God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

yes we are all aware of the belief that we can not earn eternal life by obeying , which is 100% TRUE!

But, obeying does not earning anything -- it is a duty.

Luke 17

7 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?

8 And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?

9 Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.

10 So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.

You seem to be confusing two related concepts: 1) The Sabbath Day,, and 2) remembering the Sabbath Day. The first took place in early history on the seventh day of Creation. The second is a ritual practice of Israel who did no work on Saturday.

Resting on Saturday was not made at creation. Resting on Saturday was not made for man. Jesus is not the Lord of Resting on Saturday. (I mean, he is Lord every day of the week.) God commanded Israel to remember the seventh day of Creation by resting on the seventh day of the week (Saturday), that is exactly how Israel understood the command — and it fits the covenant logic perfectly.

Hebrews 4 argues that although God’s seventh‑day rest has existed since Creation, Israel never entered it, which proves that the weekly Sabbath and even Joshua’s conquest were only shadows of a greater reality. Because David, centuries later, still says “Today… enter my rest,” the author concludes that God’s true rest is still open, forward‑looking, and fulfilled only when God’s people finally share in God’s own eternal rest rather than merely observing the seventh‑day sign.

The future age of rest is what was made for man and Jesus is Lord of that age.

Our Lord is Life Eternal, as in God is Salvation.
And there is no way that I'm looking back with that reality in sight.

Christ said if you drink my blood and eat my flesh you have life eternal in you -
But after that if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

obeying does not earn anything, can not save, it is our duty to our Master

There are many things Christ taught that directly contradict main stream doctrine.

Christ over and over told us we are to keep the 10 commandments,, what do the many say to Christ, but Paul says we are under grace and no longer under law.
Did Paul die to pay from your sins? define sin. is it not the transgressions of the LAW?

Yes we all know all of the above can be "" worded"" away, man has always been a master at wording away obedience, sin is so much fun.

Abraham was not in covenant to obey the law that came 430 years later (Galatians 3:17).

So what covenant was Abraham under and what covenant was Moses under?

How do these two covenants differ?

First Abraham was given a promise of a great name, great nation Genesis 12; 1 - 3

then in Genesis 15: 18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

God made a covenant with Abraham regarding the Promised land,,

Then God made a covenant with the Children of Israel through Moses
Lev, 2: 1 -39, this contract between Israel and God said if Israel obeyed, God would bless them in every physical way in the Promised Land.

Abraham, by covenant, is guaranteed land because he obeyed
Israel, by covenant, is guaranteed physical blessings when they enter the Promised Land, if they obey.

God gave Abraham both the Promise and the Covenant because he believed God and obeyed

the 12 Tribes, if they obeyed, would be given physical blessing

For both, it was obeying the Torah, the words from the mouth of God.

Do not commit the sin of divorcing Jesus from Paul.
The two are wed/harmonized by understanding that the OT concept of dutiful obedience to a taskmaster
is superseded by the NT concept of cooperation with the loving HS--which is easy to understand if you had godly/loving parents.
