that is not what Christ said,

27And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: 28Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

The 4th Commandment is only for the 7th Day --- no other days are included.
Christ rested on the 7th Day of Creation, the other 6 He worked. John 1 -- Christ made all things including the Sabbath.
So Jesus is only large and in charge 1 day each week? Didn't He say that all authority was given unto Him?

Didn't Jesus rest from His work of salvation on the 1st day of the week? What day was it that He sat down at the right hand of the Father?

It always fascinated me when we discuss the sabbaths and law that the first thing siad is ...it was given to the jews only.
Now correct me if I'm wrong but .......the Bible doesn't speak about any other people in the old testament that worship the one true living God. So of course it was given to the jews only.
Now the sabbath was created by God in Genesis way before Moses. Imo that is why the Lord siad .....remember the sabbath and gave instruction on how to follow and the day it was to be............ The sabbath was made for man not man for the sabbath.
Some here say Jesus is their sabbath, scripture says ..........hes Lord of the sabbath.
The Gospel of John says Jesus was with God from the beginning Even before the foundations of the world Jesus was and is.
So if the sabbath was made for man was Jesus made?
I understand we find rest in the finished work of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ that salvation is secured and can never be taken away. This is a spiritual rest, the sabbath here is one of physical rest. The spiritual rest brings peace which Jesus is The Prince of Peace.
The physical rest that the sabbath points to is a time of reflecting and refreshment.

Just saying.

Knowing and having faith that God is sanctifying us fulfills the righteousness demanded by the 4th commandment. We have that witness inside of us every moment of every day. The Israelites didn't have that so they needed one day per week to remind them. Ceasing from works of the flesh and resting in Christ's finished work is the new covenant sabbath
Except breaking the law is Sin . And you do not Acknowledge the law , fail on one point and you are guilty of all the law . Ignoring the Sabbath as in the law is what you are doing . No other way it’s Gods way or deception .

That's what the pharisees taught.

And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved. Acts 15:1
But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses. Acts 15:5

Paul said let them be accursed (not once, but twice for emphasis) and Peter said they were tempting God.

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. Galatians 1:6-9
Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? Acts 15:10
Wow you people are so confused!

Deception . Sorry you have a false gospel . All are sinners in Gods sight , but not yours it appears. Jesus said repent , John the Baptist said repent , and you say just believe with no repentance.

Believers in Christ are not sinners in God's sight. He sees Christ's righteousness in those who walk according to faith.

Salvation comes through the Jews to the Gentiles, it’s not a separate gospel to the Gentiles , if so it’s a false gospel . Read what apostle Paul says not doctrines of men . Gods way of Salvation is only one way .

All people after the cross will be judged by Christ's words, not Moses'. You are failing to honor and obey God's prophet, whom God told Moses would be sent after him

And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. John 12:47-49

Why do you view fruit as being lawless?! (Gal. 5:6, 22-23)
What God's Spirit accomplishes in us, it builds in us God's Divine nature which is revealed to man by the Torah.

it is NOT the 10 Commandments that bring us to Christ, it was the Sacrificial Law which was the school master that pointed to the need for the ONE Sacrifice of Christ.

Because of sin, the Sacrificial was WAS ADDED to the Torah.

Without the Torah codifying sin, sin can not exist.

No Torah - no sin!

The sacrificial law showed Israel and us today, sin demands death, the shedding of blood.

the one sacrifice Christ made for mankind fulfilled the object, the purpose of the Sacrificial law.

the death of Christ did not abolish the law, it fulfilled the purpose of the Law -- the punishment for sin, our sin which Christ took upon Himself and paid for us.

Romans 3 v 28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law . Is he the God of the Jews only? Is he not also of the Gentiles ? Yes of the Gentiles also . Seeing it is one God , which shall justify the circumcision by faith , and the uncircumcision through faith . DO WE MAKE VOID THE LAW through faith ? God forbid : yea we establish the Law .

Please consider the word of God . Amen !

The "MANY" can not hear -- only God the Father opens minds to the TRUTH, and today it is only the Few who's minds have been opened.

"to you it is given to know, to them it is not given"

When the 1000 years arrives -- then the Books will be open to all.

This is not true.

For until the law, sin was in the world; but sin is not charged when there isn't law . Romans 5:13

this is another one of Paul's difficult sayi
ng.

How could there be sin in the world, if there was no law explaining what God has determined to BE SIN?

Are you saying until the Old Covenant there was no sin??

If so, how could God say this to Moses before the Covenant was given and accepted by Israel?

27 Some of the people went out anyway on the seventh day, but they found no food.

28 The LORD asked Moses, “How long will these people refuse to obey my commands and instructions?

Here is another: 5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

the word translated as Law is the Hebrew -- Torah #8451 which existed in Abraham's day.

You have been deceived as was warned would happen by Jesus Christ. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

There are today 45,000 kinds of churches -- are they all of Christ? 45,000 is confusion

Love God, and neighbor...
this is the greatest commandment. By doing this you fulfill the entire law.

do the will of my father....
JOHN 6:14 For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day"

Please post the scripture removing the 4th Commandment.
Post scripture saying it's valid, active and binding on gentiles christians
and you are correct, the Old Covenant never promised eternal life, only death for transgression
The 10 Commandments codify Sin, 4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
Sin, not repented of, is death for eternity which is why Christ had to die.

The 10 Commandments never gave life to any one -- only death for transgressions.

Christ taught and kept the Commandments, those that love the Lord will also live by the 10 Commandments -- so they will not again come under condemnation , the penalty of death, for transgressions.
No where does it say that in the New covenant. In fact in the one place where the Ten Commandments are referenced get mysteriously leaves out the keep the Sabbath requirement. Jesus Paid the death penalty of the Mosaic law

Sabbath rest is now at any time in Jesus there is no set day and even if there was unless you're Jewish it doesn't apply to you
The work of Christ on the stake -- Christ paid our penalty for our sins to remove us from UNDER the penalty of eternal death

If, as falsely taught, Christ ended the Law, then sin is no longer possible and we have more need for the Sacrifice Christ made for us.
Sin is entirely possible. The law does still exist it's in our Bibles and as a Christian we use this as an historical example of how God was trying to teach us that we needed a savior

As John wrote in 1 John 3: 4 sin is the transgression of the law. if the Law was abolished then sin can not exist.
This is the mistake that Hebrew roots and Seventh-Day Adventists make and that is this: if your version of understanding is true then nobody ever sinned prior to Moses receiving the Mosaic law this is ridiculous just on the surface.

And of course it requires that you understand what the Mosaic law is who it was to what it was for and its scope.

The Mosaic law is a subset of God's laws it does not define all sin it only defines a certain set so that Israel whom the Mosaic law was given to would Stand Out Among the people and also understand how to perform the ceremonial rights to worship God.

This made Israel look separate from all the other nations

And I keep seeing this in many threads the only law a Christian follows is love God and love thy neighbor this is the law of Liberty or the law that Christ brought about by his resurrection all Mosaic law and Covenant requirements are fulfilled in this way the Mosaic law has ended it still exists but it is not binding and active we know it still exists because it's in our Bible Christians included so it will never die it will simply do what Paul explains which is Fade Into Obscurity.

by doing this one thing, love, there is no need for a 7th Day Sabbath as it is present everyday the Bible actually explains this if you would really read it

Ever wonder why Christ taught repentance? if He planned on ending the very Law HE said we must repent of transgressing?
that would have been senseless.

5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

the deception the MANY have accepted; Christ came to abolish the very Law He taught we must stop transgressing.
