Do you have the indwelling Spirit?

I repented of all my sins, I was baptized in a cold muddy lake in October and by the laying on of hands, the Father put His Spirit in me.

I realize the doctrine of "laying on of hands" does not appears to accepted by the vast majority, but it is very clearly established in the New Testament.

If asked I will post the scriptures . Hebrews 6 list it as a major doctrine of Jesus Christ.

What do you think occurred when the Spirit took up residence in you?

Are you familiar with Ezekiel 36:26-27?

Isn't this the new covenant promise as well as the new birth?

According to 2 Corinthians 5:17, haven't you already become a new creation?

Do you believe that if hands are not laid on new believers then they will not receive the Holy Spirit?

Matthew 24: 36 -4, if read closely is not foretelling the Day and the Hour of Christ setting foot on this earth, but as in the days of Noah, sudden destruction, which ended all but 8 lives. It is The day and the hour of sudden destruction which begins His return over 3 1/2 years. 3 1/2 years to Christ is maybe 2 minutes, if one day is as 1000 years.

The fourth Seal is World War Three and Revelation states 2 billion will die from disease, famine and war.

7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.

8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth

All of this happens before the Tribulation.

At The return of Christ to this earth there will not be many eating and drinking or given in marriage after the 7 Trumpet plague of the seventh seal utterly destroys the earth. Read Revelation 7 & 8.

Christ's return is at the end of the 7th Trumpet, at the last Trump, which is the first resurrection.

I have been watching, as commanded, for 60 years --- this system can not continue.
Jesus does not know , only the Father knows . Many venture out into guessing and history is not good to them .

I felt nothing, but for me to be baptize, you would have had to know me -- I do not understand how that happened.
I looked down on younger men that were churchie -- I considered them to be queers.

I was a man's man 100%, it is a true miracle I am here. actually still am.

Yes, with all of Ezekiel, "I will cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules."
Which I began doing.

When coming up out of the "water grave:" we are a new person, but still flesh and blood with our carnal human nature intact. At that point we have two natures in us, human and God's divine nature and that is a war.

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born#1080 again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. "born again" can be rendered "Born from above" which is the birth I look for.

5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born #1080 of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
the human body is about 60% water - born of water, first birth - into flesh
and spirit - second birth - into spirit

6 That which is born #1080 of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born #1080 of the Spirit is spirit.

If you still can bleed you are flesh, at the first Resurrection we will have a spirit "body" exactly like Christ's.
See Philippians 3: 21

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born #1080 again. #509 from above

8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born #1080 of the Spirit.

In Verse 8, Christ is explaining once Born from above into spirit we are like the wind, you know some one is there but you can not see them.

I hope this is understandable -- if not let me know

Galatians chapter 3 is to Gentiles , and yes the law applies. Read it carefully.
I did read it carefully.

In Galatians 3, a "work of the law" refers to any action or commandment of the Mosaic law performed in an
attempt to gain righteousness, justification, or salvation before God. Paul contrasts these works with faith
in Christ, arguing that because the law demands perfect obedience, relying on it leads to a curse rather than
blessing, as no human can meet its standard.

So how do you define a "work of the law" in Galatians 3?

You do not acknowledge the law , it was a physical Sabbath day the 7th . Therefore you must be breaking it . If not keeping it . Very simple to see in the light of scripture.
The law was a covenant between God and Israel.

Gentiles are not members of that Mosaic Covenant.

Unless you are living in Israel and become circumcised and your living in the first century.

Unfortunately for you, that Mosaic Covenant is null and void according to the scripture.

Hebrews 8:8
For finding fault with them, He says, behold, days are coming, says the Lord, when I will effect a new covenant
with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.

Hebrews 8:13
When He said, “A new covenant,” He has made the first covenant obsolete. But whatever is becoming obsolete and
growing old is ready to disappear.

The law is the Mosaic Covenant.

How long have you been a Christian?

Do what Jesus did , not the Pharisees. Jesus kept it and did not discard it . The Pharisees have their own doctrines. So keeping it Jesus way is correct he is the Lord of the Sabbath. So you don’t do it your way , you do it Jesus way . Popular Belief today is not following Jesus but going the wide way to destruction. Notice I’m only saying follow Jesus .

I am happy for you, I don't condemn you. I just attempt to encourage others to use all scriptures, not just ones that match what they want to be true.

I have noticed on this site most never quote the words of Christ when they do not say what they want Christ to say.

I do not read the Old or the New Testament, I study them. I do not believe they were written to be read.
That could be another reason there are tens of thousands of churches with differing doctrines and beliefs.
I am not born again, at the First Resurrection I will be 'born from above' into God's Family, into Spirit.
If you are not born again now, you are lost, dead in trespass and sin. It also explains your inability to comprehend God's word. Spiritual things are understood spiritually.

You quote whatever suits you, not the whole truth. Read John Chapter 3 verses 5-8

Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh is born of flesh, but spirit is born of the Spirit. Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes. You hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

Flesh is born of flesh. You are still in the flesh. You will not participate in the first resurrection. That is a tragedy for you. You also seem unable to comprehend what Jesus said about scripture:

John 5:39 & 40
"You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life."

Jesus is the Living Word of God. It is good to know the book of the Lord. It is essential to know the Lord of the book.

Oh good. So you are healing the sick, raising the dead, casting out demons and walking on water. Good for you.

Jesus responded by giving an example from the Old Testament that David was once in need of food and was given consecrated bread that was only lawful for the priests to eat (1 Samuel 21:1-6). The bread served a practical need for David and his followers, just as with Jesus and His disciples, the grain served a practical need. David and his men were not acting sinfully in eating the showbread, and neither were Jesus’ disciples acting sinfully in plucking heads of grain on the Sabbath. Jesus concludes, "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath." Jesus' response to the accusing Pharisees contains important teachings.

The Sabbath was intended to help people, not burden them. In contrast with the daily hard work as slaves in Egypt, the Israelites were commanded to take a day of rest each week under the Mosaic Law. The Pharisees had turned the Sabbath into a burden, adding restrictions beyond what God's law said. (Misguided teachers of the law today turn keeping the Sabbath day into a legalistic prescription for salvation) The disciples had not broken God’s law; they had only violated the Pharisees’ legalistic, interpretation of the law. Jesus reminded the Pharisees of the original intent of the Sabbath rest.
I agree. The pharisees had made the sabbath a burden and added many requirements to the law that were never meant to be. Jesus helped them to see it was a blessing and showed them the right way to keep it. It was made into a legalistic outward practice to please people.

Jesus said it was made for man not man for the sabbath.

Jesus statement does not teach that the Sabbath was made for all mankind,

This sentence, I do not agree with.
The sabbath was made at creation.
It was made for mankind.

So, the Sabbath was made for man, mankind in Mark 2:27 does not imply that the Sabbath was given to all nations (all of mankind). It was given to Israel and the Israelites are of mankind. This is where we need to rightly divide the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)

Just because God gave the sabbath to Israel does not mean the sabbath does not apply to all mankind.

God gave the Law.... "thou shalt not covet" to Israel. But that does not mean the same law does not apply to all of mankind.

God said REMEMBER the sabbath day..
He did not say, start keeping it from today. The reason God gave it when they left Egypt was because they were slaves for many years and had lost many of their teachings.

Sorry, where do we read in the bible of Jesus Christ putting a man to death for picking up sticks on the Sabbath? Not arguing, just asking, because I do not recall any such passage in the bible.

Jesus Christ is God in the Old Testament, not the Father.
Before the Moses went up the mountain to be given the Covenant, a man picked up sticks and was slain by God, that was Christ
Christ came to reveal the Father, unknown until Christ came.
Moses and the 70 ate with and saw GOD and Christ said no one has seen or knows the Father but HIm
Moses spoke with Christ face to face
The Rock that was 40 years with them, is Jesus Christ.
The Father will not come to earth until the earth is burnt clean with fire.
There is another scripture which I can not remember where it is, I will look

Do you not read the whole Bible?

Acts 10:44-46 "While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all who heard his message. All the circumcised believers who had accompanied Peter were astounded that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles. For they heard them speaking in tongues and exalting God."

No laying on of hands there.

The law was a covenant between God and Israel.

Gentiles are not members of that Mosaic Covenant.

Unless you are living in Israel and become circumcised and your living in the first century.

Unfortunately for you, that Mosaic Covenant is null and void according to the scripture.

Hebrews 8:8

with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.

Hebrews 8:13
When He said, “A new covenant,” He has made the first covenant obsolete. But whatever is becoming obsolete and
growing old is ready to disappear.

The law is the Mosaic Covenant.

Inquisitor, not arguing, just informing.
the Old is only "ready to disappear"
If the Old Covenant was not still in effect there could not be The Time of the End.

This is Lev 26, the Old Covenant, from verse 27 to 39 is the 7 years time of the end, which is divided into two periods of 3 1/2 years.
The New Covenant was never written in the Bible, word for word, like the Old was.
The Old is a physical covenant and what is coming is physical punishment for physical sin for a physical people.
The New is a spiritual covenant for a spiritual people

As long as there are flesh and blood humans on earth the Old will be in effect.

27And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me; 28Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins. 29And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat. 30And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you. 31And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours. 32And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it. 33And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste.
