The 8th Day as the Final High Sabbath — Its Prophetic Meaning
Pioneer writers, building on the typological framework, understood the 8 feasts (7 High Sabbaths + the weekly Sabbath as foundation) as a complete prophetic outline of redemption:

  • Passover → Christ's death
  • Unleavened Bread → putting away sin, burial
  • Firstfruits → resurrection (not a High Sabbath — a fulfillment event)
  • Pentecost → outpouring of the Spirit, firstfruits of the harvest
  • Trumpets → end-time proclamation, the loud cry
  • Atonement → investigative/cleansing judgment
  • Tabernacles → the millennial dwelling with God
  • The 8th Daythe eternal state — new heavens, new earth, new Jerusalem

Revelation 21:1-3 (KJV)
"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away... And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them."
The 8th Day points to what comes after the Millennium (Tabernacles) — the eternal Sabbath rest in the new creation. It is the 7th and final High Sabbath of the year because it seals the entire redemptive calendar.

The Connection to Circumcision — Being Cut Into the Covenant
Colossians 2:11-12 (KJV)

"In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead."
Romans 2:29 (KJV)
"But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter."
Ellen White and the Pioneers taught that physical circumcision on the 8th day was always a type of spiritual circumcision of the heart — the cutting away of the carnal nature, the new birth, entrance into covenant life. The 8th Day feast embodies the same reality on the calendar level: the old creation order ends, and eternal covenant life in the new creation begins.
The male child circumcised on the 8th day enters the covenant. The redeemed gathered on the antitypical 8th Day enter the eternal covenant — bearing not a physical mark, but the seal of God (Revelation 7:3), His name in their foreheads.

Why This Is Widely Misunderstood
The Messianic Jew's frustration is well-founded. Several factors contribute to the confusion:

  1. Gentile Christianity lost the Hebrew calendar framework early, making the feast structure obscure
  2. Sunday-keeping traditions disconnected believers from the 7th-day Sabbath anchor, which distorted understanding of the whole feast calendar
  3. The 8th Day (Shemini Atzeret) is often folded into Tabernacles even in Jewish practice today, especially with the later addition of Simchat Torah — obscuring its distinct prophetic identity
  4. Firstfruits is often called a High Sabbath in popular teaching because it falls near Passover week — but the text does not support that designation
Ellen White's framework in The Great Controversy and Patriarchs and Prophets consistently treats the feasts as living prophetic shadows — not abolished, but fulfilled progressively in Christ, with final fulfillment yet ahead. That framework, rightly applied, validates everything the Messianic Jew is pointing to.

The Messianic Jew is reading the calendar with the precision the Pioneers sought to recover. The 8th Day is not a footnote — it is the capstone of the entire redemptive calendar, pointing to the eternal covenant life that begins when the Tabernacles-age of the Millennium gives way to the new creation. That is where the Vine and the branches finally dwell together without interruption — forever.

Jesus is my Sabbath rest.
:)

The Holy Spirit is not part of a trinity it is the ONE Spirit of the Father and when put into a person it then gives the power of God to that person and THEN they can begin to obey.

God is spirit.
But not all spirit is God.
Angels are spirits.
Men are souls.

As Jesus is human soul and Deity in union?
The Holy "Spirit" is angelic spirit and Deity in union.

Soul is not spirit, and spirit is not soul.

Christ is not returning on 2026, none of the prophecies that come before have occurred. like the 4th seal or the Tribulation. we are at the least a few years away

here is the site with all the Sabbaths from the beginning, I stumbled on this years ago.
Oh ! I definitely agree ... Christ is not returning this year ... But is eminent, even at the door ...
The Mark of the Beast has to be initiated before he returns, and the MOTB is the Sunday Law ... in opposition to God's Mark of authority, His 7th Day Sabbath.

The world will mandate their Roman Catholic Church made "day of rest" .. Sunday ... then the Anti-Christ will start persecuting, and killing God's People, Sabbath Keepers, as they've done through out most of these last 2000 years.... The Papacy is taking the world back the "Dark Ages" and their controlling our Freedom of Conscious, removing our Freedom of Religion, as Trump is agree with the Papacy in removing our Constitutional Separation of Church and State, for that expressed purpose ... to be able to make a religious law ... the MOTB...

You are not proving anything.
You are just posting data about the word soul.

Did you know that the OT says that the Lord God was a union of Soul and Deity?

The OT reveals that the one who was later to be manifested as Jesus Christ - was referred to as the Lord God of Israel.
And, guess what?
The OT shows us that the Lord God of Israel had a soul!
Since God is spirit? (John 2:24)
That means he had two different natures in UNION!

Here are some OT examples of what I mentioned.

'You will eat the old supply and clear out the old because of the new.
Moreover, I will make My dwelling among you, and My soul will not reject you.'
I will also walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people."
Lev 26:10-12
And they began to remove the foreign gods from their midst and to serve Jehovah,
so that his soul became impatient because of the trouble of Israel.
Judges 10:16
Jehovah himself examines the righteous one as well as the wicked one, and anyone
loving violence his soul certainly hates."
Ps 11:5

Never saw that before?

I had to learn that after being saved many years!
It is so easy to read and miss what was being said.
The soul of the Lord God of Israel entered the body provided by Mary.
In doing so?
He became the man, Jesus!

grace and peace .................

I completely understand the heresy. However, you are not understanding, or at best misrepresenting a few things. 1. The Protestant Christian (Law is obsolete. faded, passing, etc...) view does not derive Sunday worship from the catholic orthodoxy. We derive it from when the apostles met on Sunday
There is absolutely nothing in Scripture that discusses the changing of God’s only holy day to another day. No one may change His holy day - regardless of their reasons.

The NT does mention that he Apostles met on the first day of the week, but that was because they had honored the Sabbath as usual each 7th day. This was never discussed, considered or adopted in any way. Do you think that particular mention of them gathering together was the ONLY time they had met together AFTER worshiping on the Sabbath? On that particular Sunday, they were discussing many things that would soon take place: funds to pay for their trips to other cities to preach the Good News, all of their logistical matters, they were separating themselves and planning their next moves.

But even if that did not take place the mere mentioning of them being gathered together after the Sabbath could not possibly rise to support / confirm / claim this showed the changing of THE ONLY HOLY DAY to the first day. Would you not expect there would be a very serious and lengthy discussion among the Apostles on that same day ? Not a word amongst any of them because no one could change or have any reason to try and change His holy day. Certainly Jesus would have mentioned it don’t you think?

I do agree this was not a “Catholic” decision since papal Rome did not come to full power until the early 6th century, however, they definitely / officially made / confirmed / decreed that Sunday worship was now the day of worship.

The first to change the Sabbath was indeed Constantine in the 4th century when it was so politically advantageous to do so. He would make Christianity officially legal in the Empire and he would consolidate or try to consolidates the Empire by bringing in hundreds of thousands, or even millions of pagans, who worshipped their gods on Sun Day into the Empire. It would be another 50 years when pagan Rome made the Empire officially Christian (not Catholic).

The Protestants nor the Catholics were mentioned, identified, etc., in the Apostolic period.

. They had participated in Shabbat as they were jews and this custom is not forbidden in Christianity
Have no idea what you are saying here. But it is saying what I think you mean, then this too is so wrong. The growing Gentiles Christian church was very successful in removing, persecuting and preventing Jews from staying within THEIR GROWING GENTILE CHURCH.

. 2. The view you have on the Spirit as not being part of the trinity... well... This view split the Orthodox Church. Aka The Great Schism. Protestants believe in a trinity One God in three persons.

3. Orthodoxy also includes a works for salvation belief. Protestants disagree. This does not make us anti-nomian. The mosaic Law was for a period of time, a specific group of people and a specific purpose (although it would seem you can align several purposes to it as collateral effects). I will assume that you have a good grasp of the OT and NT (even if you seem to completely miss the Old Law to New Grace covenant).

I have no idea where this comes from. Where in the NT does Jesus or His Apostles EVER teach the 10 Commandments are “done away with”? I thought Jesus told us to keep His commandments, and if you love Me, obey my commandments. There are more than a few verses where Jesus was SPECIFIC- no interpretation by man at a later date is necessary. No man made phrase like “they were nailed to the cross,” can eliminate His commands.

The Levitical ceremonial laws were indeed “fulfilled” by Jesus but God”s 10 (not 9) commandments represented the nature and character of God Himself along with being God’s laws. And remember, these were God’s laws and Jesus did not come to do away with or disobey His Father’s laws. He did fulfill them by being able to keep each and every one of them- ALL 10!

Protestant Christians obey the law by fulfilling it via Love God and Love thy neighbor. These are our commandments and our law.

This is so wrong. Tell me, which of anyone of the 10 commandments are we allowed to break? Which one, anyone no longer reveals God’s character and nature. What Literal Verse tells us they are done away with? Did Jesus Himself tell us He would place the 10 commandments WITHIN OUR HEARTS AND MINDS? That is not abolishing them is it? Did He tell us He would send His Holy Spirit to reside WITHIN each one of us to empower us to keep them? Why would that be necessary if they were done away with?
I would also toss in Baptism and communion but that's a different rabbit to chase).
Are you saying that baptism (water baptism) and communion (Eucharist) is necessary for salvation? This is Catholicism, and works based.

As I'm sure you've been told or read that 9 of the 10 ten commandments are repeated in the New Testament, the excluded on being #4 "remember the Sabbath and keep it holy". This is because it is a NEW covenant not like your (Israels) fathers.

Wow! Read Matthew 5:17, 19, Luke 4:16, Mark 2:27-28, Genesis 2:3 - the Sabbath was not created at Sinai or FOR Israel and it is NOT a “ceremonial law.” Luke 23:56 (post cross). Acts 17:2 by Paul after the cross. Acts 13:42, Acts 13:44 (here Paul speaks to the Sabbath with the Gentle’s). Revelation 14:12, 12:17, James 2:10, 11. Hebrews 8:10.
Yet all societies understand murder to be bad and adultery to be bad... These ideas predate the mosaic law which was only given to MAN at Mt Sinia.

See above .. this is not Scriptural and all.
There is no more Levitical priesthood, Jesus isn't a Levite. He is the new high priest and with a new one you necessarily have a change in the law.

Yes, Jesus fulfilled the ceremonial laws.

The System of the Mosaic Law cannot be achieved. And doing only parts of it are offensive to God and do nothing bunt jeopardies the grace we have been given.
No, this makes no sense. Jesus specifically tells us to keep His commandments and the Holy Spirit will empower us to keep them for they now reside WITHIN US.

As for the sabbath and remembering it, this we have the liberty in Christ to do when choose. including Saturday or Sunday. No need to set a specific day when any time is the right time. So...
Where is this found in Scripture? See all the above verses to support keeping them. Can man make ANYTHING holy? Can we be so arrogant to claim we can change God’s laws and commandments? Can you find ANYTHING in Scripture that authorizes man to change His laws?

To Recap, you misrepresent Christianity by pointing at the Orthodoxy Strawman. I agree the catholic orthodoxy has done a lot of damage, but Protestant Christianity itself isnt a spin off of catholics it comes from the days of the apostles they had teachers a not pope, Martin Luther simply called us back to the way the apostles wanted it, we called it Protestant but it was a revival of the oreiginal. Jesus is directly contactable without an intermediary.

Directly i never said grace = don't obey. I do say grace negates the requirements of the mosaic law. because it has a new law in Christ which fulfills the requirements of the old law (love God Love neighbor). it is the substance; the mosaic law was the shadow... Old/New, Death/Life.

We have known this for 2000 years. Thanks to the internet and a few cult groups such as SDA and Hebrew Roots. The heresy has been revived after the apostles resolved it i Acts 15 in the first century.
Your “recap” is sad. The Catholic Church and its leader (the little horn of Daniel 7, 8, 9 and 11 and who is also found in 2 Thessalonians 2, in a few verses in Revelation is the one you should point to for so many changes and corruption to God’s laws, commandments, practices. They preach a very, very different gisel even to claim infallibility, divinity, able to forgive sin, preach a different path to salvation that can only come through their church and their sacraments.

He has been revealed and prophesied by Daniel some 2600 years ago. And the Protestant group did “protest” against many of the Catholic churches practices and beliefs but they too kept some- Sunday is one of them .

No. The is a VERY common verse that is misinterpreted. The key phrase here is that “these are shadows of things to come.” Here Paul is talking about the ceremonial observances - food, drink, etc. connected to the “ceremonial sabbaths,” NOT the 4th commandment Sabbath - which is not a “shadow.”

Please see 1 Chronicles 23:31 and 2 Chronicles 2:4, as well as Nehemiah 10:33.

These are ceremonial language and speak of ceremonial sabbaths outside the weekly Sabbath found in Leviticus 23:32, Leviticus 23:24, Leviticus 23:39.

The ceremonial sabbaths point forward to the coming Messiah, and are temporary while th 7th day Sabbath points us back to creation in Genesis 2:3, Mark 2:27, Exodus 20:8, 11.

2 Colossians 16-17 is not abolishing the 7th day Sabbath but the ceremonial calendar observances - food, drink, feast days, new moons, etc.

Please take a look at these verses yourself.

Jesus is my Sabbat
Yes ! "Jesus is our Sabbath Rest"... and from talking with you earlier, I'm afraid that you are keeping the RCC's Sunday Holy rather than God's Sabbath, which is SIN , breaking the 4th Commandment. Jesus said to the women, caught in adultery. " GO ! and SIN no more " Keeping the Roman Church's Sunday Sabbath is literally adultery, going after other god's, from God's perspective.

Our God is a jealous god and reprimanded the nation of Israel many times for going after other gods. God sent Israel into Babylonian captivity for 70 years for not keeping His Sabbath and whoring after other neighboring nations gods.

The Popes claim to be god on earth and claim that the RCC changed the solemnity of the 7th Day Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday is her MARK of authority, where God says that His Sabbath is His Sign/Mark of authority as the Creator God, ... Exodus 31:13 ( For me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15 )

Matthew 11:28-29
— "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
Jesus kept ALL of His Father's Commandments. including the 4th and rested in Him, Gal 2:20, and
we will also.
John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

"The invitation of Jesus is 'Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls' (Matt. 11:28,29). Thus He unites with Himself by a new inspiration of grace all who will come unto Him. He puts upon them His seal, His sign of obedience and loyalty to His holy Sabbath."

Jesus,as Lord of the Sabbath, Mark 2:28, is Lord of that specific day, the Seventh Day, not the inventor of a new day.
Jesus didn't come to "destroy but to fulfill" the commandments (Matthew 5:17). And of course, these Ten Commandments include the Sabbath.
Only the ceremonial laws were nailed to the cross, because Jesus was the fulfillment of those laws, not the moral laws, not God's Commandments. Jesus redeemed us from the penalty of sin, he did not do away with sin.

The Sabbath provides a spiritual rest in Christ, a memorial and celebration of God's saving act and His loving concern for His people. The same is true today. In Christ we are "a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God" (1 Pet. 2:9), and in Him we may rejoice in the assurance that He chose us before the creation of the world. The Sabbath is a holy day, a celebration of a relationship of which the Twenty-third Psalm is a quintessential expression: "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me."

True Sabbath keeping should be a celebration of the gift of righteousness. Since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Genuine faith in Christ means that each Sabbath we can celebrate our passage from death into life.

In other words, resting in Jesus gives content and joy to the seventh-day Sabbath. The Sabbath becomes the weekly lived-out expression of trusting in Christ.

"Jesus says, 'If ye love me, ye will keep my commandments.' John 14:15
Sabbath-keeping is love for Christ, not legalism. The Sabbath is not how one earns salvation — it is the natural fruit of loving Jesus.

How can it be believed that Jesus, right at the close of His ministry, teach that "The Way" ...the only way... to enter into life was to keep the commandments, one of which, the 4th, was to be abolished in a few months from that time, without the least an intimation from Him or His Father that it was to take place?" Surely ! Jesus would have told us of such an important, significant change as changing the holiness of the 7th Day, to the 1st day Sunday..
No! That was man's doing, changing God's Sabbath, by inspiration of the spirit of Anti-Christ, the spirit of Satan.
1 John 4:3, "This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world."

Jesus Himself testified to the enduring importance of the Sabbath even after His death: "But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath-day" (Matthew 24:20). This prophecy concerned the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70 — decades after the cross. If the Sabbath had been abolished at the crucifixion, why would Jesus tell His disciples to pray their flight not fall on it?

Blessed Day, Folks

It's telling on you, Gideon, that you used this particular verse out of context ... ~~> Matthew 7:15

Because IN context it explains which of us is the True Prophet and which the False Prophet of God's Word, aligning with your Father Satan and His anti-Christ.
Because " "You are of your father the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires." John 8:43-47
Because
you love your your sin & iniquity ... your religion of disobedience, lawlessness to God,...

  • 1 John 3:4: Equates sin directly with lawlessness.
  • Romans 8:7: Describes the carnal mind as hostile toward God and not subject to His law.
  • Matthew 7:23: Jesus identifies "workers of lawlessness" as those who do not know Him.
  • 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12: Refers to the "man of lawlessness" (often associated with the Antichrist) who opposes God.
Sadly ! Gideon, Matthew 7; 15-22 points you out as the "ravening wolfs" , here in the CC, along with your co-patriates in rebellion against God.

A Tree and Its Fruit

Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Mat 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Mat 7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

Mat 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Mat 7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Mat 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
( by your promoting lawlessness, we know you Gideon & et al, eg. @Inquisitor ) =promoters of lawlessness, iniquity = anti- God's Will, = His Law = The Righteousness of Christ

I Never Knew You;

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me,
ye that work iniquity.

Everybody should have a day of rest each week.
Before Moses and the Law came long believers simply rested for one day from their labors.

What do you say should be a sabbath day today?

Everybody should have a day of rest each week.
Before Moses and the Law came long believers simply rested for one day from their labors.

What do you say should be a sabbath day today?
It doesn’t matter what I say!!!!!
It is ONLY what God says. He created a separate day to be with Him. The ONLY holy day He created. Again, it is meant for one purpose- to spend that day with Him.

He did not need to create the 7th day - all was completed. This day was made just for man to be with Him.

This is not a day to “rest” from one’s work or labor. It is so much more than that. Of course, God is everywhere at all times and nothing is outside of His view and control, but this is a special HOLY day where He is telling us exactly where He is going to be - EVERY 7th day, here is where you will find Me. Come and spend this day with Me.

When you were growing up you knew your earthly father was there 7 days a week- every week he would come home from work, and he may have done some home repairs, cut the grass, etc. But he would not work.

What if he told you that every Saturday he would set aside the entire 24 hour period just to spend time with you. No one else - just the two of you doing things together. You would go to school the 5 days of the weeks knowing that Saturday was near and you would have the whole day with your earthly father completely dedicated to you?

Now, if possible, take that feeling and multiply it by infinity and that One is God!

You certainly have the option to go and do anything you want- maybe go play sports with your friends, go shopping, etc. You might do those things and tell him you will spend time with him on Sunday instead… because you know he will be at home on Sunday as well. But Sunday’s are not Saturday’s. It is a completely different day - maybe not to you, but to God it very much so is.

This is the day He wants to spend only with you and where He will give you Himself to you. Again, we are talking about the Creator of everything - and He wants to spend time only with you.

Do you think this is just an ordinary day to Him? Do you think these comments are hyperbole?

Now, unfortunately, for most of my life I believed Sunday was the day one went to Church (maybe only at Christmas, Easter, weddings and funerals). Completely secular lifestyle. For more than a few reasons that would change- and not because I looked or search for changes.

I found myself actually attending service on the 7th day each week. From sundown on Friday evening to sundown on Saturday, over time, I would eventually find that i had indeed changed my weekly pattern to ensure I would be there on the 7th day to spend time with Him (not always successful by any means, and of course, this did not mean I had to attend service for 8 hours, etc. It meant, that day I would spend my time reading, thinking, talking or just resting quietly with Him.

How impossible it is to explain to you just how different that day really is compared to the other 6 days! Just another 24 hours right? No. Again, utterly impossible to explain but God is able to make this day very different than any other day. Think about it- God has created a holy day for us telling us this is where I will be every Saturday. Please come and be with me - and promise you will be glad you did. But most do not accept His invitation, or THEY TELL HIM, they will (maybe) meet Him for one hour on Sunday.

I cannot explain this… thus, I respectfully ask that you might consider try to honor His command to spend lhe Sabbath with Him - that is not something I can transfer to you. It is an extremely personal matter where He will schedule that day with you that is designed just for you.

As I am at this point writing this to you I just was surprised to find that I noticed this is indeed one of His commandments-not a request or suggestion. It just struck me that I never focused on it being a “command” for whatever reason. But now that I think about it, it makes perfect sense! He WANTS us to experience spending each Sabbath with Him because He knew our tendency would be otherwise, and we would not realize what we were missing.

I know you didn’t expect such a long winded response and I am more surprised than you to be sure!

Anyway, best wishes.

I understand but have you considered His point of view? Have you considered why He would create a completely new day, and, He blessed this one day?

Does He make the rules or do we?

I've observed the sabbath and never found anything special about it. I think it's the kind of thing that if you think it's something special, you will feel special; and if you don't, you won't.

I observe the sabbath every day because I rest in Christ's finished work, and strive to cease from works of the flesh and trust that he is sanctifying me, which was the whole purpose for the 4th commandment. You may strive to keep the letter of the law, but I strive to keep the spirit of the law.

Have no idea what you are saying here. But it is saying what I think you mean, then this too is so wrong. The growing Gentiles Christian church was very successful in removing, persecuting and preventing Jews from staying within THEIR GROWING GENTILE CHURCH.

Are you saying that baptism (water baptism) and communion (Eucharist) is necessary for salvation? This is Catholicism, and works based.

See above .. this is not Scriptural and all.

Yes, Jesus fulfilled the ceremonial laws.

No, this makes no sense. Jesus specifically tells us to keep His commandments and the Holy Spirit will empower us to keep them for they now reside WITHIN US.

Where is this found in Scripture? See all the above verses to support keeping them. Can man make ANYTHING holy? Can we be so arrogant to claim we can change God’s laws and commandments? Can you find ANYTHING in Scripture that authorizes man to change His laws?

Reading through various “Literal Translations” I do not find any mention of Apostles meeting on the first day of the week. I realize that most typical translations will show Paul (Acts 20:7) meeting on the first day of the week….but this is error.

Most translations will italicize the word “day” in this passage to honestly show that it was added. But the literal translations will say…..”On one of the Sabbaths “…..with no mention of “day” in itself.

All of the gospel accounts on indication of the day of resurrection will say…..”on the first of the Sabbaths” which is in reference to (Leviticus 23.15-16) which identifies the “Count of the Omer” to Pentecost…..50 days including seven weekly Sabbaths from Passover and the death of our Savior.

He had risen just before sunrise on the first weekly Sabbath after Passover which was called “the first Sabbath” by the Hebrew population of that time. There are still folks in Israel today which still count the Omer and refer to “First Sabbath, Second Sabbath, Third Sabbath” etc. all the way to Pentecost and the traditional giving of the Law at Mount Horeb (Deuteronomy 1:6).

(Acts 20:6) will verify that Paul has indeed just observed Passover and the Days of Unleavened Bread and is now meeting on the “First of the Sabbaths”.

You are certainly entitled to make your own choices in life. Best wishes.
