Hello everyone. I am new here. There is something that has been going on and on in my head for a while now. and I think I need someone to talk to about this personal thing. Preferably a man, since I need some advice, and also a different point of view/perspective. If anyone is willing to talk to me, please reply with a private message? I'd appreciate it so incredibly much. God bless you all.
 
Not the best idea. Anyone can message you. They may not be a Christian at all. Or they may be a Christian but not have good advice and wisdom. Many on this site think they have all the answers when they clearly don't. You don't know the reputation or beliefs of this random person.
You're on an anonymous site where no one knows you. Can't imagine it being something so bad that being anonymous isn't enough.
 
you can accept the message analyze what thet tell no one is God
 
Yeah asking men to PM you is a bad and foolish idea. There are many weirdos and perverts here who may send you a PM of an unsavory nature..

She received the solution she was seeking. You can personally disagree with peoples methods if you want but there's no need to call it foolish especially to a newcomer.

Well, it IS foolish unless she is soliciting what many would consider to be unwanted attention.

Hopefully, the right person sent by God will respond to you. As others have said though, be careful. It would be best to search the person's post history to see give you a good idea who that person is and what they are about before responding to any message. I pray that this goes well for you.

If a newcomer is seeking help & is unaware there are those who have bad intentions here on a christian site just simply tell them you would advise them not to do that & express the reasons. However on the other hand it would be "foolish" for you or blue to do such a thing because you have been here alot longer.

Like Magenta said, it IS foolish because she may receive PM's from some of the creepier men on here..Apparently you don't know that all the men here may not ALL be men, nor the women, ALL women.. And like Ugly said, she's anonymous on here, so unless it's of an illegal nature, she could share it with us..

Exactly. For all we know, this person is a troll come to stir up trouble and dissension. Anyone who is online these days should already be aware of the risks. Coming to a Christian site and asking for men to contact her is a red flag right off the bat.
 
You do know how to read, right? I GAVE the reason why she shouldn't ask just anyone to PM her. I ALSO told her it was a bad, and foolish idea. And the fact that Magenta, Ugly and myself warned her about it, is because we HAVE been here longer and seen many bad things happen when naive female newbies post and ask what this OP asked..

Apparently you & Mag aren't getting what I just stated that she may not be aware there are "creepers" on here. She may think everyone here for the most part are Christians helping eachother. I've seen alot of "foolish" behavior from the older generation on here that has been here for a while. So if you want to label it as foolish go ahead

YOU aren't getting what WE are saying. ANYONE should be aware of the risks of being online in today's day and age. If they are not, now OP has been informed and also told how utterly FOOLISH making such a request is... not just for this site, but any. We don't need your permission to call foolish things foolish, thanks just the same.

Well for one whatever you say to another person is between you & God he will judge every idle word so that's on you. It is interesting however how i've seen people primarily the older generation focus so much on the post & not the solution of helping peoples problems .
 
Hello!! NOW she is more than aware that there are creepers on here.. Let me tell you a true story about a woman who used to be a member here. "She" joined here as a female. Had access to the Ladies forum and everything. Over time, "she" let it slip that "she" actually was a man. More accurately, a transgender living as a woman. Everyone here who knew "her" was shocked to learn the truth. "She" neved creeped on anyone but just the fact that a man had access to the ladies forum was kinda scary in itself.

Two more true stories, both happened in the chat rooms. A male newbie got on cam butt nekkid and showed us EVERYTHING. And a pedophile openly declared that he likes boys better than girls, because in his words, "they have more meat". They both got promptly banned but the fact is, crazies like that are on here all the time.

You say that telling the OP her suggestion was foolish, is wrong. I say telling her was smart because now she knows what can happen on here..

I would NOT recommend men PMing her. I'm not sure of her intentions, but the question was inappropriate to be asked of a man. You can guess the nature of it, and it would be incredibly wrong if the roles were reversed.

She gave a fairly plausible reason why she didn't want a woman's answer. That's why I'm still not sure.

If what I say to the OP is between me and God then you should take your own advice and BUTT OUT.
