"I do believe there is a spiritual baptism because the bible tells me so. “Baptized with the Holy Spirit” However, baptism with the HS only happened twice and each one was for a very important specific purpose. "

You lost me with "only happened twice". Lets stick to what is written not how we personally feel. The fact Peter told them "“Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift" Backing up from there it was not just 11 waiting for that "promise" it was 120 and they were all saved before that. What already saved and had the holy spirit yet got something else on Pentecost? Some seem to believe once your saved you already get the gift of holy spirit. So before that moment backing up again Luke 11 13 "If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"

Going forward "Have you received the Holy Spirit since you believed". I've heard, seen, watched those bothers and sisters praise GOD saying its gone does not happen any more. Yet here I am and millions just like me or us just like the 120. Were all saved believe in trust in Yeshua/Jesus the messiah who came in the flesh died on the cross for the worlds sin was buried rose the 3rd day is seated at the right hand of the Father the only way to the Father. Yeah what we did with (just believed) John 3:16-17 Rom 10 9-10 we did the same with luke 11 13.

See what's my choice here? That book or what some man/woman says about that book? I know my Father can't lie so by me asking according to luke 11 13 He said He will give the holy spirit to them that ask. Its a promise only to the believer. Yes I asked at age 15 and hello "Father give me the holy Spirit thank you Father in Jesus name". "Jesus I believe you came in the flesh and are sent from God and died for me .......oh like the song right now the words oooh I believe". Well I was just going to post that and the song said at the same exact moment the same words. Just luck huh.. haha no such thing as luck.

Hey you have the same book. I can't show anyone what I have seen. All I can say is don't go by the flesh feelings. Know if HE said it He will do it. All I can say is just believe. For me over time I found what He does for one He will do for all. What He gave and blesses us with ..oh you are so unique so special to Him... you are not like very one else. Just read that book and believe

I'm glad you liked the question. Can you answer what you believe it means?
Sure.
Jesus instructed the apostles to make disciples by baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and HS. We see all converts baptized at their conversion. Here we see a lot of the Corinthians being converted.
8 Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord, together with his entire household. And many of the Corinthians hearing Paul believed and were baptized.
Paul later writes to these Corinthians helping them to understand things. In Chapter 1 they are dealing with division based on who baptized them. Paul asks them were they baptized in the name of Paul. He is clearly talking about their water baptism in the name of Jesus at their conversion.
Chapter 10 Paul is giving them a warning Israel's history. Trying to draw a parallel to the Israelites, he talks about their water baptism into Moses.
Chapter 15 we see people being water baptized for the dead.
So in chapter 12 when Paul says For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body , the Corinthians will understand this as when they were water baptized the one Spirit put them into one body.
As we see in Acts 2
So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.
The Spirit added them into the one body, not the apostles.

Then please enlighten us.

Being baptized by the Holy Spirit IS receiving the Holy Spirit. I guess you are not there yet or you would know this.

Jhn 14:17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, for He abides with you and will be in you.

Peace.

this is where folks disagree with you, many of us believe we should receive what they received.

Paul encountered some who had been baptised with water [the baptism of John] and Paul laid his hands upon them and they were baptised with the Holy Spirit and spake in tongues.
You left something out. Yes, they were taught Jesus accurately but baptized into John's baptism. Before Paul lays hands on them he baptizes them in the name of Jesus. Then he lays hands on them. If you will notice in Acts 8, we see a similar situation. The Samarians were baptized in the name of Jesus but they didn't receive spiritual gifts. Later Peter and John come to give them gifts. Since they were already baptized in the name of Jesus, all they had to do was lay hands on them.

-----and you receive the Holy Spirit in you at that moment when you receive Jesus in your heart ------
What verse/s would you use to support this?
Jesus say the that believes(past tense) and is baptized(past tense) will be saved(future tense)
And in Acts 2 when they asked Peter "what shall they do", he doesn't say you've already done it now be baptized. Peter says be baptized and you will receive the Holy Spirit.
We then see only those who were baptized received the HS.

Making disciples has nothing to do with salvation. Salvation is the work of Jesus...I will build My church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it...
Discipleship, on the other hand, is about teaching those who are saved how to live in the kingdom of God. That's what the great commission is about...TEACHING. Jesus has received all authority and power, and is commissioning the Apostles to go and teach those He places in the church. It's worth noting that teaching is mentioned first and last.
Since teaching was the emphasis, they were already saved.
Acts 2 is a compound sentence. It is stating 2 things that are true. The syntax of the sentence is equal statements and not one statement being the cause of the other. In other words, both clauses could stand alone as sentences.
...those who received his word were baptized.
...those who received his word were added.
It does not say those who were baptized were added because they were baptized. The thing both had in common was that they received his word. This is why they were baptized and why they were added.

Where any who were not baptized added?
Not to my knowledge. But that's not the point. They received the Word, so they were already added. Believing was the evidence that they were already saved.

right water and spirit are one baptism like when Jesus was baptized that’s what baptism is meant to be you get baptized in water for remission of sins the. You receive the spirit like Jesus did as an example for his followers
Baptism wasnt fully complete until Jesus shed his spirit

the order does t seem to matter as gentiles receives the spirit first and then Peter commanded water baptism for remission in his name either way water and spirit is one baptism

I agree it is about teaching but I suggest it is about converting people to Christianity which is basically making Christians.
Most bible translations say "make disciples" which makes sense to me. Jesus says make "Christians" baptizing them in the name of.

I gonna disagree with your analysis of the compound sentence. The first part links those who were baptized were the ones who received his message. The second part just says how many were added and is not justification for separating the two. If we use that logic then ...those who were baptized were added works also because they are linked in the first part.
Those being linked together agrees with what Jesus said during the great commission:
Whoever believes(1) and is baptized(2) will be saved(3)
So then, those who had received his word(1) were baptized(2); and that day there were added(3) about three thousand souls.
And we continue to see it.
Acts 18:8 and many of the Corinthians, as they listened to Paul, were believing(1) and being baptized(2). (3) is understood.

I suggest the only reason the Gentiles received it first is because God was making a point. Please consider:
Acts 15:8 And God, who knows the heart, testified to them giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He also did to us;
God had to do so so that there would be no question for the Jews that the Gentiles were to be included.
Acts 11:18 When they heard this, they quieted down and glorified God, saying, “Well then, God has also granted to the Gentiles the repentance that leads to life.” 1
Also consider God gave Peter a vision to help him to understand what was about to happen.

Yea the term “Christian “ is what they started calling Jesus Christs disciples

The first time the disciples were called Christian is recorded here

“And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭11:26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

when we say “I’m a Christian “ we’re saying “ im a disciple of Christ “

“Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness,

and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1:21-22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus talked to a lot of people some followed after him others went on thier way as of their whole world hadn’t changed

Teaching makes disciples. Jesus converts souls. And you don't have to believe grammar, but it leads to alot of mistakes. You end up drawing conclusions that aren't actually consistent with the passage.

yeah brother I have no issue with the order being either way i don’t think it matters honestly but it’s just my own thought.

I’ve known people who heard about Jesus and believed even went to Chris h awhile but had never heard about baptism for awhile until they finally did later …..they believed what they heard

I do believe baptism is one doctrine , is performed in water and is for remission of sins , and what John was talking about is when Jesus ascended and poured out his spirit on believers and one doesn’t replace the other but they are one

to me the order isnt important but bekievers hearing the truth about baptism for remission of sins is important

yes, I meant with but wrote by.

Now a big question do you remember when you received the holy spirit? where you were what you felt? how did happen for you exactly? how did you get baptized, did a person laid a hand on you? water baptism?

it is probably too personal and you don't have to if you don't want to.

Peace

Again this what your trying to understand is beyond your pay grade -------your Spiritual understanding is limited --you need to Grow in your Faith walk ------and as you grow the Holy Spirit will open your understanding more to what the Scripture is meaning ------The Bible is a Spiritual Book ----and your need the Holy Spirit who dwells in you to give you the Spiritual meaning -------

What is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit?

https://www.gotquestions.org/indwelling-of-the-Holy-Spirit.html

The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is the action by which God takes up permanent residence in the body of a believer in Jesus Christ. In the Old Testament, the Spirit would come and go from the saints, empowering them for service but not necessarily remaining with them (see Judges 15:14; 1 Chronicles 12:18; Psalm 51:11; Ezekiel 11:5). Jesus revealed to His disciples the new role the Spirit of Truth would play in their lives: “He lives with you and will be in you” (John 14:17). The apostle Paul wrote, “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies” (1 Corinthians 6:19–20).

These verses are telling us that the believer in Jesus Christ has the third Person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit, living in him. When an individual accepts Christ as personal Savior, the Holy Spirit gives the believer the life of God, eternal life, which is really His very nature (Titus 3:5; 2 Peter 1:4), and the Holy Spirit comes to live within him spiritually. The fact that the believer’s body is likened to a temple where the Holy Spirit lives helps us understand what the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is all about. The word temple is used to describe the Holy of Holies, the inner sanctum in the Old Testament tabernacle structure. There, God’s presence would appear in a cloud and meet the high priest, who came once a year into the Holy of Holies. On the Day of Atonement, the high priest brought the blood of a slain animal and sprinkled it on the mercy seat of the Ark of the Covenant. On this special day, God granted forgiveness to the priest and His people.

Today, there is no Jewish temple in Jerusalem, and the animal sacrifices have ceased.
The believer in Christ has become the inner sanctum of God the Holy Spirit, as the believer has been sanctified and forgiven by the blood of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:7). The believer in Christ becomes the habitation of the Holy Spirit of God.
In fact, Scripture also says that the believer is indwelt spiritually by Christ (Colossians 1:27) and by God the Father (1 John 4:15)—the Trinity is involved.

As the Holy Spirit lives in the believer, He brings about some life-changing results:

1) The indwelling Spirit comes to a soul dead in sin and creates new life (Titus 3:5). This is the new birth Jesus spoke of in John 3:1–8.

2) The indwelling Spirit confirms to the believer that he belongs to the Lord and is an heir of God and fellow-heir with Christ (Romans 8:15–17).

3) The indwelling Spirit installs the new believer as a member of Christ’s universal church. This is the baptism of the Spirit, according to 1 Corinthians 12:13.

4) The indwelling Spirit gives spiritual gifts (God-given abilities for service) to the believer to edify the church and serve the Lord effectively for His glory (1 Corinthians 12:11).

5) The indwelling Spirit helps the believer understand and apply the Scripture to his daily life (1 Corinthians 2:12).

6) The indwelling Spirit enriches the believer’s prayer life and intercedes for him in prayer (Romans 8:26–27).

7) The indwelling Holy Spirit empowers the yielded believer to live for Christ to do His will (Galatians 5:16). The Spirit leads the believer in paths of righteousness (Romans 8:14).

8) The indwelling Spirit gives evidence of new life by producing the fruit of the Spirit in the believer’s life (Galatians 5:22–23).

9) The indwelling Spirit is grieved when the believer sins (Ephesians 4:30), and He convicts the believer to confess his sin to the Lord so that fellowship is restored (1 John 1:9).

10) The indwelling Spirit seals the believer unto the day of redemption so that the believer’s arrival in the Lord’s presence is guaranteed after this life (Ephesians 1:13–14).

When you accept Christ as your Savior (Romans 10:9–13), the Holy Spirit takes up residence in your heart, bringing with Him an entirely new life of love, relationship, and service to the Lord.

turbosixx ---what your doing is taking one verse out of the whole Context of the Scripture and trying to analyze it and that in itself shows that your still on the milk stage --if you really are a Born again Christian -------

If your not a Born Again Chist---ian than your attempts of trying to understand the Spiritual are futile ----

There are 2 lens of reading the Scripture ------the Logos lens and the Rhema lens ----your need the Rhema lens to understand the Spiritual meaning of the Scripture ---and the Holy Spirit is the one who gives you the Rhema Word ------anyone who can read the Logos Word -------the Rhema Word is the Spoken Word -------the meaning behind the Logos Word ------

I'm talking about baptism. The bible tells us about baptized WITH the HS but it never says BY the HS.

"For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit."

This is how each believer is fit into the Body: The Spirit immerses us into the Body according to His plan. In fact, not recognizing the placement of others in the Body is why the church is sick and weak.

"For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. 30 For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep."

When we eat the bread we are to be reminded that all are a part of the One: Christ.

Preference for self, or for factions, creates sickness within the whole. For example: how will the Body function if, because of bias, they reject a word of correction from the Lord through one who is sent to them? Paul, because of this, would write: "And the rest I will set in order when I come." He understood his place in the Body so he would exercise the authority given to him.

This is baptism by the Spirit.

Jesus Christ will also baptize us with the Spirit. This is to empower our placement within the Body. He also does this from heaven.
So, the dispensation of grace, or ability and power, would be handled only by the Lord with the Spirit: these are spiritual gifts empowered by the Spirit.

"And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers..."

This is a reference to Christ who has already ascended. Here, He decides to whom the gifts of grace are given.

"But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift."

So, the dispensation of grace originated from heaven in Christ not during his time as the man, Jesus. Therefore, it can only be a spiritual transaction: from Heaven by the Lord with the Spirit.

Certainly, those in authority, by the laying on of hands, may acknowledge the gift and even dispense the gift they have been given to others, but a believer in the Lord will only be led by the Spirit so still, the Spirit is in charge of this empowerment.

Note the scripture says it was the Holy Ghost that was received not spiritual GIFTS.

"Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:

Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: (no reference to gifts)

(For as yet HE was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost." (again, no reference to gifts) Acts 8:14-17
