From experience it is obvious that when we get older we see things from a different perspective altogether when it comes to things that matter in our approach to God and His Bible. Doing some revision work I was reminded of the relationship between God and the children of Israel leading up to the entry to the promised land and how long suffering our God really is as the record testifies in the first five books of the Old Testament as we Gentiles refer to this period of time. To state that the people complained about so many things on a daily basis would be an understatement and Moses and Aaron fielded these complaints and petitioned God to rectify the complaints coming from people that displayed very little faith and longed to be back in Egypt and all of the comforts they left behind, these sins of murmuring could not go unpunished and the record shows that these faithless individuals were dealt with on the spot as individuals or groups according to the circumstances as they happened, this looking back can catch us all unaware in this day and age unless of course we have not crucified the old self and insist on being a carnal Christian due to the mistaken belief that we cannot lose our Salvation in defiance of what scripture teaches. The children of Israel tested the patience of God due to their lack of faith and their failure to obey God and Moses. Christians are exact copies of the children of Israel by displaying lack of faith and obedience to Gods word and the punishment for the lack of faith will cost everything and like the children of Israel faithless being prevented from entering the Promised Land disobedient people will not enter the Lords Kingdom. The sins that will keep believers out of the Kingdom are well documented, there will be no excuses.

Now the Children of Israel, while they were in the wilderness, were disobedient, and by their disobedience Salvation was gained by the nations."
