I'll admit I know too much for my own good, and sometimes it gets the best of me. But I've been having strange symptoms fairly regularly... everyday at some point during the day. Over 7 weeks ive tested positive for anemia multiple times. My diet is low in iron but I have been taking supplement and eating high iron foods (those I can eat). I have to count protein so I decided to count iron also. In addition to getting 100% from a supplement, I also take in another 100-200% from natural food sources. But my iron is actually lower since I've started monitoring it. In addition, my blood pressure is low. Usually it's just a healthy low... 98/60. But at one point it was 90/55. Last time I tested anemic, I called my dr right away but I haven't heard back from them. These are only a few symptoms, but there are several more. I'm going to call again tomorrow, and hopefully they will respond.

Both my mother and younger sister are having health problems of their own. So I know what it's like to worry for and about someone with these problems. I will do my best to put aside these worries, and I will add you to my prayers! I hope you start feeling better!

Hugs Jordache, Ill keep praying in Jesus.
This may be a mute question as you are on suppliments, but what is your vita c intake?
the body cannot absorb iron if your c is too low, with all your health issues, you may need to take a higher dose of c.
If already doing this, well, :) just ignore. :)

Hugs and God bless

I'm so sorry, dear one.

I won't even tell you how long it takes for the body to rebuild
a supply of iron after supplementation begins. ;)

The vitamin C thing is apropos,
and so is asking if your folic acid is sufficient.
I had to take both iron and folic acid during each of my pregnancies.
I know your diet is good, but there are absorption troubles, yeah?

praying for you. ♥

I lift you up in prayer asking that the Lord bless you and bring healing to your body if it is his will, I ask on Jesus name amen. Keep your chin up Jordache life is never easy but when you have the Lord it is always possible.

Praying for you Jordache,
May God bless you with his ever lasting love and care.
In Jesus Name, Amen

Yes, my vitamin c is adequate... In fact it's too high now, so I had to cut back a bit. My filmic acid should be fine as it's in my multi-vitamin. It's all so draining. I get sick with something most everyday, though not always the whole day. I think my low BP is a major contributor because I often feel ok when I'm moving but the moment I stop the world starts spinning. A common issue with one of my health concerns is low tyrosine. My tyrosine has been low in the past and I take an amino acid supplement which is meant to level out my tyrosine levels, but it carries symptoms of low BP and low body temperature.

Hugs Jordache, I figured you were doing all you could. :)
Ill keep praying in Jesus's name with praise and thanksgiving for all healing and the streangth you need.
My heart and thoughts are with you each day.

Hugs and God bless

When my BP was ridiculously low (the nurse asked how in the world I walked in to the place with a BP of 73/48...lol),

the doc suggested salt, of all things! (which, you know, I always assume is bad for me  )

I don't mean to bombard you with things, Jordache.

Just trying to think of any and all possibilities. ♥

I know you struggle with health issues on a daily,
so in my daily prayers you'll be. :)

I'm sure the docs already checked for an ulcer or other internal bleeding, but I know they can cause iron issues. :(

Unfortunatley, I basically have not insurance... the special insurance that I do have actually makes it very difficult for me to ever see a doctor. So far I don't think I have any internal bleeding. Other than very explainable symptoms and occassional chest pains, there aren't really any symptoms that would lead me to believe there is any bleeding.

when my sugar cane turns from green to yellow it is iron deficient. so i spray the field with ironsofate. I turns green in just 3 days. If you want you could stand in my field when i spray and you can get a dose of iron. My other helpful hint is for you to get a date to take you to a steak dinner and eat you a peace of american beef. I will pray for your health also and if you are thinking that i am to late to pray for you because this thread is 4 days old well dont because God knew i would pray for you today and he credited it to you 4 days ago..BBY

Oh how I wish I could get a date to take me out to a steak dinner, but that would be wrong on so many levels. This is precisely the reason my iron is low. I can't eat meat, dairy, soy, nuts, legumes, wheat, or flour. A steak would be great for my iron and bad for my brain.

sorry i told you to go on a date, i had not noticed that you are still separated. Is their a time limit on that , i have been wondering.
Have you tried cooking your food in an old iron pan with a little rust?

ps can you eat manna?

It's ok Seekingg. Yes, I am still separated but my divorce should be final in a few weeks. As for cooking in rusty pots, well I think there's probably a much better way to get iron. ;). And if you're talking about spiritual manna, yes I take it everyday or else I wouldn't be here. As for real manna, nope, too much protein.

Jordache i understand where you are. I am there and actually had same problem as a child. In fact i had to take Ferinsol as a kid. Not sure if i spelled it correctly sorry. Anyways it was a spoonful of striaght iron every morning as i was so anemic from a baby to a child that i did not gain wieght and i also had sezuires do to high fevers. The two symptoms did not mix well and this continued for years. I can still taste the stuff today and it was terrible. The Ferinsol lasted until i was in my early teens.

Now i have so many health problems too many to list and many i wont go into... but here are ones that are connected to your story and that you might understan as they effect me now...My Blood pressure has been all over the place, from so high i was hospitalized and almost died 203/202 to so low they couldnt find it and I nearly passed out. I will always be on meds for the rest of my life...

Even on medication and while things remained well with my BP i had a cerabella stroke in 2005, and due to it i now have head aches that never leave me as they are there 24/7 day and night. This effected my right side and ability to focus, memory loss, eye problems and balance issues. I am on so many medisons (over 17 per day) just to keep me going. I also had a severe car accident in Jan 17th of last year that has caused many problems with my lower back. One of the biggest the specialists are worrying about is the partical sacrilization of the L5/6 witch is actually in layman terms a fractured back so now i am awaiting surgery as i have nerve damage and my legs and feet get numb and they burn many times.

With the accident, it has casued so many dizzy spells to occurr now do to the meds i was on before dont work for some reason and we have to basically start all over again.. I have from 10-20 per day which causes me to fall and the sezure like symptoms occurr every other day now. I have been told i am not to be alone now as I am to have a caregiver with me at all times. I have theraphy and an occupational therapist comming to my home every 2 weeks to make sure i have updated with everything and chech on my updates and see if i am doing ok. My husband cares for me in the meantime and i thank God for him dearly...

But what i want to really let you know is, that through all of this,, i feel your frustration and i understand how you feel. I sympathise with you and know you are in a place that you dont want to be in and dont know why.. Its scary and you feel like running away, but their is no where to run to that you know of.. But I want to tell you there is... God is that place.. At least He was and is for me...
I have learned that even though I have all of these things going on, I still have joy! I do not let worry and the pain of discontent flood me. I praise Him every day as He is worthy! This is what it means to trust in God.. I have been on deaths doorsteps literally. When you get to that point,, you realize, how to really trust God or not.. It doesnt mean we still dont get mad at the stuff going on in our lives, but we can know that that our feelings wont lead us to a point of crossing a line of disbelief thinking God is not with you. He is!!! (Not saying your here) :)

Never think God does not love nor care for you when you are going through things.. Its during these times, we learn to trust Him more and only then can we have the faith to let Him carry us when we cant walk upright ourselves.... This is true trust! Remember the one who does the carrying, also does the leading too.. This is the greatest thing... For then we really know we are on the right path... God will never lead you astray...
Stay encouraged, and keep praising Him even in these terrible times, for God is still God regardless of our struggles... Thank you for allowing me to share, and I will keep you in my prayers... You are never alone! You may feel lonely and scared at times, but you are NEVER alone!!! God is with you my dear....

Wise words Dotann... I know my God is good and His plans for me are good.
