Oh my gosh. I have a new Facebook friend. Don't even know her but most of the time I just accept the friend request. She posts that unlike all other people she's not hypocrit and then calls a wife of a guy who preaches a very bad name. Oh man. I can't stop laughing. Don't respond, don't put a laugh smiley underneath it, just post it in singles.

For the record...horseradish and wasabi are completely different plants/flavors. Most of what you'll find in the US is horseradish (which I also like), but green dyed horseradish is most definitely NOT wasabi (despite what anyone or any packaging says...).

Most of this is due to how cheap and common horseradish is compared to wasabi. Wasabi is considerably harder to grow and both the leaves and root can be used for food, medicine, and such. Horseradish is pervasive (like a weed), and sure, lol...try eating those leaves and see how it goes.

Oh I thought that it was a what we call horse flower, a dandelion. The leaves look the same. I pluck those for my bunnies.

So my grandmother's sister passed away about a week ago. At the funeral, her son told my grandma to take anything she wanted. She picked a few things and gave me this little doll (knowing I collect toys). I think it's really cute and I'll cherish it as it was my grandaunt's toy. Does anyone know what type of doll it is? I've seen them before but I don't know the name...

i used to have one of these!!!!! apparently, my parents said i named my doll melito. lol! we took it to mexico and gave it away to one of my cousins. :)

People are interesting. Frustrating, too, but maybe that's 100% my deal, not so much their failing. Where do we draw the line between exercising patience or grace, and being annoyed or angry? There are times when I want to entertain a disagreement, but don't... and sometimes I can't decide on whether it's out of grace, maybe even a sense of propriety, or whether I'm just like "I give up!!"

Watching some carpathia TV show the liner that rescued the passengers of the titanic are you one of those folks that have a phobia real Fear with deep dark water? I have that, I was really freaked watching an old film of the titanic sailing Then they had to show one clip solely on the dark water that freaked me OUT! The more I watched it the more I got freaked out knowing the end of the titanic story Like when you stomach drops on a steep road, give me some hope that God can remove phobias
 
We're in the train to grandma with flowers. The kids are amazingly sweet. Maybe it's because I gave them all a bag of M&M's.

Even I've heard of kewpie dolls, and the closest I ever got to collecting dolls was cutting the hair off my sister's barbies. (Boy was she ticked...) Kewpie dolls were a big thing back before and during WWI. Cheaper kewpies were even given out as carnival prizes, which is where the phrase "catch the kewpie" comes from. Also, for a time the colloquialism "to win a kewpie doll" meant to be awarded a modest prize.

Yes, I'm older than my years. I'm an old soul.

I actually looked up kewpie dolls on wikipedia the other day and was going to post from my phone but got interrupted and never posted.

It says they were made since 1912 and the old ones made of wood composite are extremely rare and valuable. They are worth thousands. Also, old ones that were signed by the artist who designed the dolls are very valuable. They still made kewpie dolls until the 1990's. Very old plastic ones that are not signed could still be worth a few hundred.

Wow, that's really interesting! I had no idea what they were called. I had seen them before, but didn't know the name.

At Chick-fil-A they ask for your name in the drive thru. I gave them Bruce(already not my actual name). They said, "Chris." Sure. Close enough lol.
