When it comes to the most technically advanced country in the world as of early 2026, Switzerland and Sweden consistently hold the top spots in global innovation rankings, while the United States

and

South Korea lead in specific fields like AI and consumer electronics.

Yes me too , often pray for God's continued mercy and generosity to b upon all flesh ❤️ , only if it is His Will of course .

Hello everyone. I am Thea, Karlon's wife. "Is he behaving"? I am sneaking this in. As a joke. He has told me about Christian Chat for about 3 years now. Sounds exciting with all of you. Have a wonderful weekend you all!
Hello Thea!
Karlon's great to have around; he is a phunnneee one 😁
There are some married members here where husband and wife both have accounts and each joins in.
We'd love to have you make an account and join Karlon and us!
May you have a wonderful weekend as well.

Karlon has yet to post his picture on 'Are you brave enough to post a picture of yourself' thread and claims he needs your help.
Then he went on a tangent on how rude people are that say they are going to do something, and then don't.

?!
I guess he was being phunnneee

i'm just seeing this now Lanolin. I NEVER SAID I WAS GOING TO POST A PICTURE, I SAID I WAS THINKING ABOUT DOING IT. IN ANOTHER POST, I ALSO SAID, " I MAY POST A PICTURE"! get it right Lanolin.

What is the newest technology on the horizon?

The "horizon" has shifted significantly this year, moving from purely digital tools to Physical AI—where intelligence finally moves out of the screen and into the real world.

Here are the most significant technologies currently breaking through in 2026:

1. Agentic AI & The "Silicon Workforce"

We are moving past chatbots that just answer questions to Agentic Systems. Unlike standard AI, these agents can execute complex, multi-step tasks autonomously—like planning a trip, managing a project budget, or coordinating a supply chain—without a human "babysitting" every step. By 2027, it's predicted that a large portion of enterprise work will be handled by these self-orchestrating agents.

2. Humanoid Robotics & Physical AI

2026 is becoming the "year of the robot" in industry.

• Industrial Deployment: Companies like BMW and Amazon have moved beyond testing and are now deploying wheeled and legged humanoids (like those from Hexagon Robotics and Noble Machines) directly into car production and logistics.

• Video-Predictive Control: New startups are training robots using video data rather than manual coding, allowing them to learn movements just by "watching" humans, which is drastically speeding up how fast they can learn new tasks.

3. Quantum-AI Hybrids

Quantum computing is no longer just a laboratory dream. Researchers (notably at UCL) have recently demonstrated that Quantum AI can predict "chaotic systems"—like weather patterns, fluid dynamics, and complex molecular reactions—much more accurately than classical supercomputers. This is expected to lead to massive breakthroughs in drug discovery and climate modeling over the next 18 months.

4. Small Modular Reactors (SMRs)

With the massive energy demands of AI data centers, SMRs are the new energy frontier. These are smaller, factory-built nuclear reactors that can be deployed more quickly and safely than traditional plants. Major regulatory approvals are hitting this year, positioning them as the "battery" for the next generation of the digital economy.

5. Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC)

As quantum computers get more powerful, our current encryption (like what protects your bank) is becoming vulnerable. 2026 is the year many government and financial institutions are officially switching to Post-Quantum Cryptography—new mathematical puzzles that even a quantum computer can't easily crack.

Well you got angry with people who were thinking they might buy your antiques...they are really under no obligation to do so or get back to you.
It's a courtesy, but they don't have to do it, and there's no reason to get angry with them. It just seems to me you were angry about perceived loss of revenue when you couldn't close a sale.

It's perfectly reasonable to think about doing something, or think about a product if it's worth it or would be useful then decide no and not buy it. But you don't have to tell the shopkeeper/vendor you are not going to buy it.

Nobody likes an aggressive salesperson.

my greatness Lanolin! "hold your horses" right, no one is obligated to buy anyone's antiques. that's common knowledge. i didn't say i was angry. you have assumed that. truthfully, i have never been angry if someone didn't purchase something. it doesn't make comfortable sense. you or i or anyone wouldn't like the fact that someone says they'll be back or they'll call & then they don't. especially the ones that do it chronically!!! now, if someone says they'll be back, i ask them for a downpayment to ensure they definitely will be back. almost always, they refuse. it's proper for everyone to SAY WHAT THEY MEAN & MEAN WHAT THEY SAY!!! & i'm not aggressive, no, not forceful. nobody wants to deal with someone like that. & i'm not angry now. you & i are friends here.

Ok, but you did sound extremely frustrated, which sounds kinda angry. (to me)

Its ok I get it. Sometimes you just need to vent about the little pet peeves in life. But don't sweat the small stuff, as people say.

Now about that photo...

There is a song about this...there is a song for everything

Build me up, Buttercup

[Chorus]
Why do you build me up (Build me up)
Buttercup, baby
Just to let me down? (Let me down)
And mess me around
And then, worst of all (Worst of all)
You never call, baby
When you say you will (Say you will)
But I love you still
I need you (I need you)
More than anyone, darling
You know that I have from the start
So build me up (Build me up)
Buttercup, don't break my heart

since communication without seeing the person you are talking to became popular, it sprung up a new condition: assuming & overeading what people THINK someone is saying. not implicating you btw. my twin brother used to tell me many decades ago that i am an extremist. what he meant was that with me, something is either this or that & nothing else. well, most things are that way. there's too much small change talk, excuses & nonsense conversation involved. you may have noticed on CC that i don't get involved in long posts, too much information. there's 1 ginghams on now about someone choosing between Christianity & buddhism. here's a phunnneee story for you: a guy was arrested 3 times for various offenses. his g.f. said in an interview: "well, he's a nice person, really". holy heavens!!! if that's nice what are you & i?

Things are black and white in print. Well the words are black unless you want to make them...magenta.
Words of Christ are red in some Bibles.

It can vary according to what He had to say, whether it was an entire sermon or an immediate response. The amount of red, I mean.
Also, He spoke in parables that many people did not get.

However, when they didn't, He would explain it. I think that's a brilliant thing for a teacher to do, instead of, what most people do, is teach by telling people off and what NOT to do.
