so where are the real authentic Christian parties or get- togethers? i was invited to a party in the albany area & i attended. then the alcohol drinking started. no one was unaccountable or ridiculously incoherent but i could see it was traveling in that direction. so i left. & as usual, the same people that always talk incessantly & selfishly were doing so. i don't want to be around that at all.
i wish very much to find a church with a real teaching preaching minister. it's not happening around here.
maybe. there's just no talent around here. all the great teaching preaching ministers are in the south it seems. there's nearly no talented musicians either. the band scene is so lack luster. there are some decent good-enough musicians that want to band up with me but they want to control a band. what nonsense that is; wanting to control a cover band!!! cover bands do not need a leader. it's alright to have 1 especially if he or she works with everyone in a way that is not controlling.
If anyone were striving for my lifestyle, I would want to meet them and find out why...???

I like the above quote, however - it serves as a good reminder for us to maintain proper focus and priority...

you remind me of my playing days years ago. so many years i would get 2 to 3 hours sleep because i worked a full time job, practiced & gigged with the band & worked at landscaping too.
