We don't want to mock people, that is our predisposition to good behavior, people who are afraid because they see the things from their horror movies that scared them have come to pass. We don't want to laugh when calamity comes to people. We know that love does not rejoice in evil, we know that we are hear to pray for salvation. So I want to make it clear that if I come across that way, it isn't me, it is God. Many times I read the word of God and I say "hey, this isn't me saying this, it is God".
Proverbs 1:24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; 25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:
Years ago I was preaching the gospel on the Rice University campus. Every day we spoke to students and others on that campus. What I frequently heard is that the Bible is for weak people who need a crutch. So, OK, all those who are so strong they don't need a crutch, good news, we see the alliance that Ezekiel 38 described will take place at the beginning of the tribulation. We see the imminent attack on Taiwan. We see children being castrated without their parents consent or knowledge. We see AI coming like a freight train, able to replace 80% of all jobs right now and in a short period of time from now 90%.
26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; 27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
Fortunately for those of you who set at nought all the Lord's counsel, you are strong, you don't need a crutch, so let's see how strong you are. I'm not mocking you, I'm cheering you on!

Oh right, as you have done it will be done unto you. You thought you were so smart, so wise, you were simple, a fool. You were arrogant and so did not realize that all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ, in the incarnated word of God.
33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.
