2025: What are We Waiting for? The Mystery of the Apostasy Reveals the Answer.
He has a very valid approach. Many say "no one knows the day or the hour of the rapture". Ok, but the Bible never says that no one knows the day that the 70th week in Daniel starts. That is understood by most Bible expositors to be a reference to the last seven years of this age, commonly referred to as "The Tribulation" (in contrast to "tribulation" that all believers must go through).
This link to Rock Island Books examines this question as the seven thousand years of human history represent 144 Jubilee cycles. A jubilee cycle is 7 x 7 years, the next year, or the fiftieth year is the Jubilee. If you remember Jesus said we are to forgive 70x7 times. That would be ten Jubilee cycles. Notice how the 70th week in Daniel refers to 70x7 years. Therefore we can tie the 70th week to the forgiveness of man. At the end of this age Jesus will have worked out the forgiveness not just of the Gentiles but also the Jews.
So if we understand this concept then we know the 70th week begins with the Antichrist being revealed. We also know that the week of years (Shemitah) always begins on the first day of the year. If we were only talking about the Jews that might refer to Nisan 1, but this is about both Jews and Gentiles so it must be referring to Tishrei 1, the Feast of Trumpets which announces the coming of the king and tells you to prepare to stand before God at His judgement seat. So we know the day, the year might be harder to determine, but there is absolutely nothing in the Bible that tells us we don't know the day that the seventieth week starts. Since this would be when the man of sin is revealed and that takes place after the rapture we can then conclude that prior to Tishrei 1 would be the rapture. It could be a few days or a few weeks. But it is very unlikely to be as much as a few months.
I think everyone can agree that the cross of Christ is a major pivot point. Paul said that Jesus rose from the grave as the "new creation". I think many would understand that to refer to the start of the 5th day in Genesis. If you add two 1,000 year days to the resurrection you would get a date between 2030 and 2033 as all estimates have Jesus being crucified between 30 and 33 AD. I favor 32 AD as the best estimate. That would make 2,000 years later the end of the sixth day. The bride is brought to Adam at the end of the sixth day before the seventh day begins. If 2032 is correct it would indicate that the seventieth week begins in 2025, if 2033 is correct it indicates 2026. But there are other dates we can use. We know that Israel's birthday as a new nation is May 14, 1948. We also know that Jacob married Rachel and Leah when he was 84. Using that math it would indicate 2032 will be the fulfillment of the feast of tabernacles. But there are other ways to calculate this as well. If we use 7x70 as 490 year period for forgiveness and begin our calculation in 70 AD when the temple was destroyed, the Jews dispersed and the gospel was sent to the four corners of the earth we get 4x7x70 = 1960 +70. That would indicate the age of grace is over at the end of the summer of 2030. In Revelation there is a point at which the gospel is over and that takes place before Armageddon. So this could indicate that one year of the Great Tribulation when God pours out His wrath begins in 2031. The great tribulation is the last 3 1/2 years. If the seven year tribulation begins in the Fall of 2025 that would mean the Great Tribulation would begin in April of 2029, the same time that Apophis is supposed to come near the earth and perhaps hit it.
My point is we can try to calculate the year using a bunch of different approaches just as this brother does by calculating 144 jubilee cycles. 144 Jubilee cycles is 7,056 years with the 7,057th year being the Jubilee year. Some may complain this is not exactly 7,000 years. However, that is not how the jubilee cycle works. The jubilee cycle begins with you getting your inheritance. It could be seen as the day that Adam was created. During those 49 years if you were to go bankrupt and lose everything that does not start the jubilee cycle, rather you will get everything restored at the end of the 49 year cycle. So you might only be bankrupt for five years before it gets restored. Adam was created prior to the fall of man. The cycle began when Adam was created but the 7,000 year count began when Adam fell. That is a legally binding agreement. When God said that man's life was 120 years it is understood that this meant that sin would rule over man for six thousand years (120 x 50). Satan was given a six thousand year lease on man's body being the flesh. Now you don't have to wait until the Jubilee year to be released. Anyone can pay to have you redeemed earlier. Like any bankruptcy when the debt is paid you are free of the bondage of that debt. Jesus paid the price for our redemption, if we refuse to accept His redemption that is our choice, but anyone who receives the gospel of Jesus Christ can be freed from the bondage of sin sooner. This shows that from the fall of man it is 6,000 years to the release of man. Well that is another day that we know, the fall of man took place on the 9th of Av. The curse ended on the 15th of Av.
Also the story of Israel in the wilderness might clear up the confusion concerning Jesus crucifixion. The jews wandered in the wilderness for forty years, but it was only for 38 years that they were cursed. They did not embrace the evil report until after they had been in the wilderness for two years. In the same way, Jesus cursed the Jewish leaders for officially rejecting Him and saying He was speaking by Beelzebub. He said the sign He would give them was the sign of Jonah. Beginning in the Fall of 30 AD the temple records record that the atoning sacrifice was never received by God for the next 40 years and then in 70 AD the temple was destroyed. However, this word from Jesus could have been given two years before Jesus was crucified. So Jesus could have said this in 30 AD and been crucified in 32 AD. This would have given the Jewish leaders a full two years to examine Jesus' ministry before making their official proclamation just as Israel was in the wilderness for two years before they embraced the evil report. In both cases they committed the unforgivable sin. When they took the evil report they were judged on the spot and there was no getting around it and all those who were of the age of accountability died before Israel could enter. Likewise after Jesus proclaimed the Jewish leaders had committed the unforgivable sin they were judged immediately and for the next forty years they were judged and died out before they were scattered to the rest of the world to take the gospel to the world.
