It rains on the good and the bad just because you live a completely sinless holy life as best you can moves the needle zero as for whether or not bad things befall you.1Corinthians 15 -- The internet has become flooded with saints all over the world having dreams of the rapture and being told to tell the believers that Jesus is coming. Yet, there are many other believers who insist they have heard all of that before, yada, yada, yada. This is nothing new. Thomas refused to believe Jesus had risen till he touched the wounds and saw for himself. That may sound sensible but it is rebuked by the Lord as faithless. Think about that, if his preaching is useless why has it had such a big impact on the entire world? The power of that message for the last 2,000 years is a strong testimony that Jesus rose from the dead. The resurrection is the power of the message. If Jesus didn’t rise from the dead the entire New Testament is based on the testimony of liars. How could these fishermen and an odd assortment of people fabricated such an elaborate and effective lie? Here we come to the crux of the matter, if the rapture is not real, if the dead are not going to rise at the last trump, then Jesus also didn’t rise from the dead. You can’t believe that Jesus resurrected from the dead and also teach that the rapture is not real. Who would make up a lie so that they could be persecuted, imprisoned, stoned, and martyred? We have seven great feasts in the Jewish year. Jesus was crucified on Passover, buried on the feast of unleavened bread, rose from the dead on the feast of first fruits, and the church was born on the feast of Pentecost. What is the point of starting the year with a “feast of firstfruits” that refers to Christ’s resurrection if the feast at the end of the year when you bring in the harvest does not really mean we are raptured? At the time of Adam’s fall there was a prophecy that the seed of the woman would come and this seed would crush the serpent's head and the serpent would bruise His heel. If you look at the heavenly signs in September of 2017 we saw this sign, and the only other time it has appeared was in 3915 BC. So the prophecy at the time of Adam was fulfilled with the appearance of the sign in heaven of a woman with a crown of 12 stars, clothed in the sun, that brings forth a man child. There are three groups, Jesus Christ has already risen, the firstfruits refer to those who are raptured, and those who belong to Him refer to the redeemed who are not raptured and instead have to endure the tribulation. The point of this age is to cast out the prince of darkness and for every knee to bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord. We know that He destroyed the power of death when He rose from the dead. So surely the best testimony of that will be the rapture of the saints with the dead rising first and then those that are alive. This is the gospel message, God is all in all, Jesus is Lord. Hold firmly to this word otherwise you have believed in vain. It is a very big thing to deny this truth. This is why the atheists contend so much over this point. Everything hinges on the resurrection of the dead, without that sin and redemption are meaningless. Do whatever you can get away with because there is no being held accountable at a final judgement. It is truly shameful what some people who have the name of Christian are saying. Our life is a seed. In death we are planted and in resurrection we will grow with a glorified body. These are basic principles, the natural body is simply a shadow of the reality which is the spiritual body. Again, if you can see that our human body will return to the dust of the ground, then you should also see that our spiritual body is of heaven. If you live according to your spirit you will be heavenly. If you have borne the image of your father on earth, then you will also bear the image of your Father in heaven. So far in this age every key event in God’s economy has taken place during one of these great feast days. The next feast day is the festival of trumpets. It signifies the beginning of the new year, and in this case the beginning of the new age, the millennial kingdom of Christ. The way this works is you need two witnesses to confirm the new moon, as soon as they see the sliver of the new moon they will blow the trumpet to signal the festival of trumpets. For this reason they refer to this festival as “no one knows the day or the hour” because you have to have these two witnesses confirm it. The “last trump” refers to the last, loudest and longest blast of the trumpet. All the Jews at the time of Jesus would have understood “no one knows the day or the hour” and “the last trump” as referring to the festival of trumpets. This also ties into the Lord’s parable of the bridegroom coming for the bride at a time she doesn’t know. At that time the wedding procession will also be blowing the trumpets. This ties into the great sign in heaven from Revelation 12 that was seen September 2017. In a Jewish wedding the bride needs to walk around the groom three times before the wedding begins. The earth has circled the sun three times since that sign was seen. We must be clothed with the imperishable! This is the only way we could be the bride of Christ, the only way we could rule and reign with Christ, the only way we could be to the praise of His glory! In the rapture we will be overjoyed, praising God, and praising the Lord for His victory. How did we get the victory over sin? It is through our Lord Jesus Christ. How are we going to get the victory over death? It is through our Lord Jesus Christ. We will be praising and thanking Him for eternity.
The rain falling is not a bad thing, it is a blessing that brings life. There is no biblical basis to say that first sentence about the needle being pushed to 0. The covenant we have with the lord is a protection from the death angel. It rains on the good and the bad just because you live a completely sinless holy life as best you can moves the needle zero as for whether or not bad things befall you.
Remember the devil has to operate within the authority and limits set by God (cf Job).
You can live a holy life, and the devil can take everything.
That is incorrect. And im say that respectfully. Life happens, we get blessings from God and we get harassed by the devil. But we are not, not matter how perfect we may be, immune from the devil. The rain falling is not a bad thing, it is a blessing that brings life. There is no biblical basis to say that first sentence about the needle being pushed to 0. The covenant we have with the lord is a protection from the death angel.
If you live a holy life and you put your treasure in heaven the Devil cannot take anything. The only way he can take anything is if your treasure is on the earth and not in heaven.
What I am saying is show me the verse you are referring to in the Bible. People's opinions and misconceptions are just that, opinions and misconceptions. That is incorrect. And im say that respectfully. Life happens, we get blessings from God and we get harassed by the devil. But we are not, not matter how perfect we may be, immune from the devil.
The book of Job show this truth. He was a righteous man and God allowed Satan to take everything from him in an attempt to destroy his faith in God.
The devil has 1000's of years of experiance and can walk circles around us and our faith. His only limit is what God allows him to do.
Jesus defeated Satan but until the end, Satan is still lord of this world.
I referred the entire book of job to say that bad things will happen to the most holy of us...What I am saying is show me the verse you are referring to in the Bible. People's opinions and misconceptions are just that, opinions and misconceptions.
By all accounts being crucified was a "bad thing" unless of course you have the resurrection power, in which case it became a bad thing for Satan and put him to an open shame.
Lazarus dying seemed like a bad thing till Jesus raised him from the dead.
The wedding running out of wine seemed like a bad thing, happens to all poor people, until Jesus turned the water to wine.
The things that Satan means for evil can be turned to good by God.
The entire book of Job is not about "bad things" happening to Job, it is about Job getting a double blessing. Try reading the "whole book" of Job again.I referred the entire book of job to say that bad things will happen to the most holy of us...
If your original intent is to suggest that we won't be completely overtaken by evil because of Jesus. I will agree. Even so this is not controllable by us as humans. We will suffer through bad things, and rarely will we escape via miracle.
Okay I'm not sure if you're actually just trying to provoke an argument I'm not disagreeing with your assessment I was pointing out that a lot of bad things happened to Job regardless of whether or not he was a righteous man and yes I understand at the end he was blessed. The entire book of Job is not about "bad things" happening to Job, it is about Job getting a double blessing. Try reading the "whole book" of Job again.
I think you should reassess the use of the term "bad things". If a heavyweight boxer goes into a championship match and wins the crown after 12 rounds, did "a lot of bad things" happen to him during those 12 rounds? Or was he appointed to suffering because he wanted to be a heavyweight champion?Okay I'm not sure if you're actually just trying to provoke an argument I'm not disagreeing with your assessment I was pointing out that a lot of bad things happened to Job regardless of whether or not he was a righteous man and yes I understand at the end he was blessed.
And the reason that I said that in the first place was that the original post on the subject appeared to be saying that if you were in good standing and prayed up and everything else that bad things wouldn't happen to you to which I disagreed using job as an example not that job didn't go through it and get blessed but the bad things happen to good people
I don't have any idea what you're actually trying to say what I was saying is that if you believe and you may not but it appears to me from the earlier comments that the thought was hey if you just pray enough and Are Holy enough bad things such as your family getting wiped out you losing everything in your life won't happen to you because God's got your back and my comment is that is not true if you don't think that then there's no need to respondI think you should reassess the use of the term "bad things". If a heavyweight boxer goes into a championship match and wins the crown after 12 rounds, did "a lot of bad things" happen to him during those 12 rounds? Or was he appointed to suffering because he wanted to be a heavyweight champion?
The entire book of Job is connected from the first chapter when God is boasting on Job, to the last when Job is blessed. God instigated Satan to attack and the purpose was not for "bad things to happen" but for Job to be trained into a heavyweight champion.
Did "a lot of bad things" happen to the apostle Paul or did he have to go through those things to have the ministry he had and give us half of the New Testament?
We have a glorious calling and there is no glorious resurrection without first going through the crucifixion and death. The Lord Jesus is the forerunner who blazed this path for us, and now we are to follow in His footsteps.
Your point doesn't stand because no where in the Bible does it say that. The book of Job does not say that. What happened to Job was not "crap" nor was it "bad things". It appeared that way until he got a revelation of God and saw that his previous revelation was short of the reality.I don't have any idea what you're actually trying to say what I was saying is that if you believe and you may not but it appears to me from the earlier comments that the thought was hey if you just pray enough and Are Holy enough bad things such as your family getting wiped out you losing everything in your life won't happen to you because God's got your back and my comment is that is not true if you don't think that then there's no need to respond
You haven't told me anything I don't already know my point stands crap happens to people whether we're holy or whether we're a pagan
You're a complete idiot if you do not think that bad things happened to job he lost his family he lost his workers he lost his sheep he lost his cows and horses and riches in fact I'm probably being the idiot trying to explain this to youYour point doesn't stand because no where in the Bible does it say that. The book of Job does not say that. What happened to Job was not "crap" nor was it "bad things". It appeared that way until he got a revelation of God and saw that his previous revelation was short of the reality.
The stuff Jerry Rice went through was not "crap" nor was it "bad things". It was the suffering he was appointed to if he wanted to be a hall of fame receiver in the NFL. The stuff Rocky Marciano was not "crap" nor was it "bad things". It was the suffering appointed to him if he wanted to be heavyweight champion. That is what Job wanted, and so what happened to Job was an answer to his prayer.
What you consider to be "truth" is nothing more than an account that is devoid of revelation of the God of resurrection.
By that logic "bad things" happened to Jesus Christ. He was found guilty in a monkey trial, He was scourged, He was crucified, He was put to death. He told us that the scriptures were about Him, that includes the book of Job and it includes what happened to Jeremiah, and it includes Jonah being in the belly of the great fish for three days, etc. Now the record in the gospels is crystal clear, from the day Jesus was born He was born to be the lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world. That was His calling. That calling meant He was appointed to that suffering. However, that suffering can be likened to a prize fight between Jesus and death and Jesus was victorious. If you have ever watched a heavyweight fight "a lot of bad stuff" happens to both fighters, whether they win or lose. The only way to take away sins and deliver us from the fear of death was for the Lord to do that. You're a complete idiot if you do not think that bad things happened to job he lost his family he lost his workers he lost his sheep he lost his cows and horses and riches in fact I'm probably being the idiot trying to explain this to you
A bunch of serious problems happened to job in his life I fully acknowledge that afterwards God blessed him for his faith that does not negate that a bunch of crap happened to him if you think it does you are truly an idiot unable to learn. Job did not hallucinate these things they actually happened... PS job wasn't trying to achieve something great he had already done so and then God allowed the devil to take it all from him which really happened it was a literal fact that these things happened and therefore it was a bunch of crap that happened to job what part of this do you not understand
Trump said he would destroy the Iranian civilization, now he has a full on blockade against them after bombing thousands of targets in the country, destroying their navy, and air force and air defenses. Does anyone really believe they will hand over their nuclear bombs? This is a regime that promotes suicide bombers, how would they have any credibility if they capitulate? This is a regime that said "death to America" and Israel repeatedly, calling them the "great Satan" and the "little Satan". Can they really capitulate?

This is correct he had a bad dayBy that logic "bad things" happened to Jesus Christ. This has NOTHING to do with my initial response. Your preaching to the choir and off topic here.
JOB gave up nothing it was all taken from him. He suffered greatly. It was a bad experiance. This is my point. He was a great man and his faith or prayers did not stop the bad events from happening.... and it wont avoid them in the life of the believer eitherEach of us has a calling. The Lord said that anyone who gives up stuff for that calling will receive a hundred fold in the kingdom:
Matthew 19:29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
Jesus christ, you are dense, and that verse has no context to this thread. No one is referencing someone giving anything up... the context is satanic attack on a faithfull believer. If this verse is not your reality it raises many questions that would be best asked and answered by you going to the Lord Jesus and talking to him about it, not me.
