1Corinthians 15 -- The internet has become flooded with saints all over the world having dreams of the rapture and being told to tell the believers that Jesus is coming. Yet, there are many other believers who insist they have heard all of that before, yada, yada, yada. This is nothing new. Thomas refused to believe Jesus had risen till he touched the wounds and saw for himself. That may sound sensible but it is rebuked by the Lord as faithless. Think about that, if his preaching is useless why has it had such a big impact on the entire world? The power of that message for the last 2,000 years is a strong testimony that Jesus rose from the dead. The resurrection is the power of the message. If Jesus didn’t rise from the dead the entire New Testament is based on the testimony of liars. How could these fishermen and an odd assortment of people fabricated such an elaborate and effective lie? Here we come to the crux of the matter, if the rapture is not real, if the dead are not going to rise at the last trump, then Jesus also didn’t rise from the dead. You can’t believe that Jesus resurrected from the dead and also teach that the rapture is not real. Who would make up a lie so that they could be persecuted, imprisoned, stoned, and martyred? We have seven great feasts in the Jewish year. Jesus was crucified on Passover, buried on the feast of unleavened bread, rose from the dead on the feast of first fruits, and the church was born on the feast of Pentecost. What is the point of starting the year with a “feast of firstfruits” that refers to Christ’s resurrection if the feast at the end of the year when you bring in the harvest does not really mean we are raptured? At the time of Adam’s fall there was a prophecy that the seed of the woman would come and this seed would crush the serpent's head and the serpent would bruise His heel. If you look at the heavenly signs in September of 2017 we saw this sign, and the only other time it has appeared was in 3915 BC. So the prophecy at the time of Adam was fulfilled with the appearance of the sign in heaven of a woman with a crown of 12 stars, clothed in the sun, that brings forth a man child. There are three groups, Jesus Christ has already risen, the firstfruits refer to those who are raptured, and those who belong to Him refer to the redeemed who are not raptured and instead have to endure the tribulation. The point of this age is to cast out the prince of darkness and for every knee to bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord. We know that He destroyed the power of death when He rose from the dead. So surely the best testimony of that will be the rapture of the saints with the dead rising first and then those that are alive. This is the gospel message, God is all in all, Jesus is Lord. Hold firmly to this word otherwise you have believed in vain. It is a very big thing to deny this truth. This is why the atheists contend so much over this point. Everything hinges on the resurrection of the dead, without that sin and redemption are meaningless. Do whatever you can get away with because there is no being held accountable at a final judgement. It is truly shameful what some people who have the name of Christian are saying. Our life is a seed. In death we are planted and in resurrection we will grow with a glorified body. These are basic principles, the natural body is simply a shadow of the reality which is the spiritual body. Again, if you can see that our human body will return to the dust of the ground, then you should also see that our spiritual body is of heaven. If you live according to your spirit you will be heavenly. If you have borne the image of your father on earth, then you will also bear the image of your Father in heaven. So far in this age every key event in God’s economy has taken place during one of these great feast days. The next feast day is the festival of trumpets. It signifies the beginning of the new year, and in this case the beginning of the new age, the millennial kingdom of Christ. The way this works is you need two witnesses to confirm the new moon, as soon as they see the sliver of the new moon they will blow the trumpet to signal the festival of trumpets. For this reason they refer to this festival as “no one knows the day or the hour” because you have to have these two witnesses confirm it. The “last trump” refers to the last, loudest and longest blast of the trumpet. All the Jews at the time of Jesus would have understood “no one knows the day or the hour” and “the last trump” as referring to the festival of trumpets. This also ties into the Lord’s parable of the bridegroom coming for the bride at a time she doesn’t know. At that time the wedding procession will also be blowing the trumpets. This ties into the great sign in heaven from Revelation 12 that was seen September 2017. In a Jewish wedding the bride needs to walk around the groom three times before the wedding begins. The earth has circled the sun three times since that sign was seen. We must be clothed with the imperishable! This is the only way we could be the bride of Christ, the only way we could rule and reign with Christ, the only way we could be to the praise of His glory! In the rapture we will be overjoyed, praising God, and praising the Lord for His victory. How did we get the victory over sin? It is through our Lord Jesus Christ. How are we going to get the victory over death? It is through our Lord Jesus Christ. We will be praising and thanking Him for eternity.
It rains on the good and the bad just because you live a completely sinless holy life as best you can moves the needle zero as for whether or not bad things befall you.

Remember the devil has to operate within the authority and limits set by God (cf Job).

You can live a holy life, and the devil can take everything.

The rain falling is not a bad thing, it is a blessing that brings life. There is no biblical basis to say that first sentence about the needle being pushed to 0. The covenant we have with the lord is a protection from the death angel.

If you live a holy life and you put your treasure in heaven the Devil cannot take anything. The only way he can take anything is if your treasure is on the earth and not in heaven.

That is incorrect. And im say that respectfully. Life happens, we get blessings from God and we get harassed by the devil. But we are not, not matter how perfect we may be, immune from the devil.

The book of Job show this truth. He was a righteous man and God allowed Satan to take everything from him in an attempt to destroy his faith in God.

The devil has 1000's of years of experiance and can walk circles around us and our faith. His only limit is what God allows him to do.

Jesus defeated Satan but until the end, Satan is still lord of this world.

What I am saying is show me the verse you are referring to in the Bible. People's opinions and misconceptions are just that, opinions and misconceptions.

By all accounts being crucified was a "bad thing" unless of course you have the resurrection power, in which case it became a bad thing for Satan and put him to an open shame.

Lazarus dying seemed like a bad thing till Jesus raised him from the dead.

The wedding running out of wine seemed like a bad thing, happens to all poor people, until Jesus turned the water to wine.

The things that Satan means for evil can be turned to good by God.

I referred the entire book of job to say that bad things will happen to the most holy of us...

If your original intent is to suggest that we won't be completely overtaken by evil because of Jesus. I will agree. Even so this is not controllable by us as humans. We will suffer through bad things, and rarely will we escape via miracle.

The entire book of Job is not about "bad things" happening to Job, it is about Job getting a double blessing. Try reading the "whole book" of Job again.

1Thessalonians 3:1 Wherefore when we could no longer forbear, we thought it good to be left at Athens alone; 2 And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith: 3 That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.

Suffering afflictions and being appointed unto suffering afflictions does not mean that "bad things happen to us". A navy seal must suffer afflictions before becoming a navy seal. All athletes "suffer afflictions" during training. Rocky Marciano, the greatest heavyweight champion, had a training that was so difficult no one else has even tried to imitate it. Jerry Rice considered the greatest receiver ever in the NFL also had a training regimen so rigorous that other superstars balked at trying to replicate it. These ones understood that they were appointed to suffering afflictions. It was what was required for them to compete on the field of battle.

4 For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.

Tribulation is derived from the greek word Tribulum which was an instrument used in removing the husks from the grains of wheat. The purpose is not to crush the grains of wheat, but rather to simply remove the husks, which are then called "chaff".

What happens in the book of Job is not that Job is crushed. At the end of the book he has a double blessing. But the chaff has been removed. You could liken what happens to Job as him being "pruned" so that he could bear more fruit.

THIS COMING TUESDAY...? WHAT...Tuesday ...Tuesday may mean!

11 Thus Solomon finished the house of the Lord, and the king's house: and all that came into Solomon's heart to make in the house of the Lord, and in his own house, he prosperously effected.

12 And the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.

13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.

16 For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

17 And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and shalt observe my statutes and my judgments;

18 Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel.

19 But if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them;

20 Then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations.

21 And this house, which is high, shall be an astonishment to every one that passeth by it; so that he shall say, Why hath the Lord done thus unto this land, and unto this house?

22 And it shall be answered, Because they forsook the Lord God of their fathers, which brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath he brought all this evil upon them.

Okay I'm not sure if you're actually just trying to provoke an argument I'm not disagreeing with your assessment I was pointing out that a lot of bad things happened to Job regardless of whether or not he was a righteous man and yes I understand at the end he was blessed.

And the reason that I said that in the first place was that the original post on the subject appeared to be saying that if you were in good standing and prayed up and everything else that bad things wouldn't happen to you to which I disagreed using job as an example not that job didn't go through it and get blessed but the bad things happen to good people

I think you should reassess the use of the term "bad things". If a heavyweight boxer goes into a championship match and wins the crown after 12 rounds, did "a lot of bad things" happen to him during those 12 rounds? Or was he appointed to suffering because he wanted to be a heavyweight champion?

The entire book of Job is connected from the first chapter when God is boasting on Job, to the last when Job is blessed. God instigated Satan to attack and the purpose was not for "bad things to happen" but for Job to be trained into a heavyweight champion.

Did "a lot of bad things" happen to the apostle Paul or did he have to go through those things to have the ministry he had and give us half of the New Testament?

We have a glorious calling and there is no glorious resurrection without first going through the crucifixion and death. The Lord Jesus is the forerunner who blazed this path for us, and now we are to follow in His footsteps.

I don't have any idea what you're actually trying to say what I was saying is that if you believe and you may not but it appears to me from the earlier comments that the thought was hey if you just pray enough and Are Holy enough bad things such as your family getting wiped out you losing everything in your life won't happen to you because God's got your back and my comment is that is not true if you don't think that then there's no need to respond

You haven't told me anything I don't already know my point stands crap happens to people whether we're holy or whether we're a pagan

Your point doesn't stand because no where in the Bible does it say that. The book of Job does not say that. What happened to Job was not "crap" nor was it "bad things". It appeared that way until he got a revelation of God and saw that his previous revelation was short of the reality.

The stuff Jerry Rice went through was not "crap" nor was it "bad things". It was the suffering he was appointed to if he wanted to be a hall of fame receiver in the NFL. The stuff Rocky Marciano was not "crap" nor was it "bad things". It was the suffering appointed to him if he wanted to be heavyweight champion. That is what Job wanted, and so what happened to Job was an answer to his prayer.

What you consider to be "truth" is nothing more than an account that is devoid of revelation of the God of resurrection.

You're a complete idiot if you do not think that bad things happened to job he lost his family he lost his workers he lost his sheep he lost his cows and horses and riches in fact I'm probably being the idiot trying to explain this to you

A bunch of serious problems happened to job in his life I fully acknowledge that afterwards God blessed him for his faith that does not negate that a bunch of crap happened to him if you think it does you are truly an idiot unable to learn. Job did not hallucinate these things they actually happened... PS job wasn't trying to achieve something great he had already done so and then God allowed the devil to take it all from him which really happened it was a literal fact that these things happened and therefore it was a bunch of crap that happened to job what part of this do you not understand

By that logic "bad things" happened to Jesus Christ. He was found guilty in a monkey trial, He was scourged, He was crucified, He was put to death. He told us that the scriptures were about Him, that includes the book of Job and it includes what happened to Jeremiah, and it includes Jonah being in the belly of the great fish for three days, etc. Now the record in the gospels is crystal clear, from the day Jesus was born He was born to be the lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world. That was His calling. That calling meant He was appointed to that suffering. However, that suffering can be likened to a prize fight between Jesus and death and Jesus was victorious. If you have ever watched a heavyweight fight "a lot of bad stuff" happens to both fighters, whether they win or lose. The only way to take away sins and deliver us from the fear of death was for the Lord to do that.

Each of us has a calling. The Lord said that anyone who gives up stuff for that calling will receive a hundred fold in the kingdom:

Matthew 19:29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

If this verse is not your reality it raises many questions that would be best asked and answered by you going to the Lord Jesus and talking to him about it, not me.

God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

1 Thessalonians 4:1 Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.

Many Christians focus on what the Lord did for us on the cross, saving us, and redeeming us from our sins. But here Paul is focused on how we should walk and please God after having been redeemed.

2 For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.

Many Christians treat "commandments" as some kind of bad word. A coach will give the players rules to guide them in the game. For example, I was taught to "fight the pressure" when playing defense. If the blocker wants you to go over here then that is not where you want to go, you want to go wherever he doesn't want you to go. In other words, don't let Satan push you around, fight the pressure. That is a basic rule which told me how to walk and do well on defense. It is the same for Christians who are fighting a spiritual warfare.

3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:

In some churches you would never know that this is the will of God. According to them the will of God was accomplished when Jesus redeemed us on the cross, for them that was the end of the story, but for Paul it was the beginning. The word sanctified means to be set apart as holy for God. If you are involved in fornication you are not set apart as holy for God.

4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;

The only way every one of us would know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour is if they teach you this from the New Testament. In the books of Timothy Paul said that Timothy was supposed to teach the believers how they were to behave in the house of God.

5 Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:

There are people who are consumed by lust, they are not separated unto God, they are separated unto their lusts. If you see this then that is clear proof that they don't know God regardless of what they claim with their mouth.

6 That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.

If you defraud your brother, in any matter, it could be a contract, it could be in adultery, it could be by being a false witness against them. Whatever it is, the Lord Jesus is the avenger of all. The fact that you are redeemed simply means the brother you defrauded could be a brother in the Lord, He is still the avenger of what you have done. You need to be reconciled over that today, regardless of the cost, because if you wind up going before the judgement seat on that you will have to pay the last penny at that time.

7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

Listen to some messages on "Once saved always saved" and you would never know that you were called unto holiness.

1 Thessalonians 4:8 He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.

Go to social media, or go to Christian forums and you will see many "christians" who despise this word that we are called to holiness. They will claim this is a "works based salvation" even though we fully proclaim that we are saved by grace and it is not of ourselves but it was done 100% by the Lord's redeeming work on the cross.

9 But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

We love one another but we also speak the truth. We are charged to "speak the truth in love". If a person is a drug addict the truth can be that their addiction will kill them and it needs to be dealt with immediately. In order for the addict to do that may require a lot of love, forgiveness, and mercy.

10 And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more; 11 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

It is a common temptation to someone who has just been saved to want to be full time for the Lord. You would not put someone who was not trained into the ring with a professional boxer. Yes, we are witnesses of the Lord, and yes it is wonderful that you aspire to follow Paul. But prior to Paul preaching the gospel full time he spent 14 years quietly studying the word. So if you are following Paul and imitating him, don't forget that part. Also, the New Testament doesn't forbid a full time worker from being supported, but Paul wasn't supported. He worked with his hands as a tent maker. To support yourself protects you from the attack of the enemy. If you are supported by the ministry you will certainly be attacked and slandered. Satan has no problem lying, it is what he does. So you will have to spend a lot of time defending against these attacks. Your books will have to be pristine, you must know all the laws, all the bookkeeping regulations, and you must be willing to allow people to go over all of your finances with a fine tooth comb. In my experience it is more trouble than it is worth. Better to simply support yourself, end of story. Let those who want to donate money give it to a soup kitchen.

12 That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.

There is a huge gap between "lacking nothing" and having everything your heart desires. We are running a race. What does a marathon runner need? Shoes, socks, shorts and a t shirt. Change your perspective, I lack nothing to do the ministry that I was called to. I view this ministry as providing a daily supply, every day, for those who are seeking.

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

This blog is looking at all the verses in the Bible that are relevant to the rapture. The rapture is when the dead in Christ rise first. That is our hope. We don't hope for something we have already seen and received. This is not a doctrine created by JN Darby, it is our hope, one of the seven pillars of the faith once for all delivered to the saints by the Apostles.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

This truth is found throughout the Bible. Enoch was taken up. Elijah was taken up. The church is the pillar and base of the truth. Samson pushing out the pillars depicts the rapture of the church which coincides with the collapse of the pagan temple. Joseph coming out of the prison to become the prime minister of Egypt was a shadow of Jesus Christ coming out of the tomb to become Lord of all. Likewise, His bride is depicted by Esther and Mordecai, also being a people being delivered from a judgment of death on them to rule and reign with the king. The Bible is not ruthless, it depicts Ruth being saved from sin to become the bride of Boaz, a type of Christ.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Some claim that according to the "once saved always saved" doctrine you can live in sin and still be saved. That is how they "comfort" one another despite being filled with shame and guilt. That is not how Paul comforts us. He tells us we are appointed to suffer, that we are called to be holy, that he has given us commandments from the Lord that will cause us to prosper and be sanctified, and that while on earth we will have trouble, but the day will come when we will be raptured and that is the hope that is given to us to comfort us.

Trump said he would destroy the Iranian civilization, now he has a full on blockade against them after bombing thousands of targets in the country, destroying their navy, and air force and air defenses. Does anyone really believe they will hand over their nuclear bombs? This is a regime that promotes suicide bombers, how would they have any credibility if they capitulate? This is a regime that said "death to America" and Israel repeatedly, calling them the "great Satan" and the "little Satan". Can they really capitulate?

Trump told us that it was peace and security about two hours before the close of the market on Friday and that gave a nice euphoric bounce to the market, only for the Iranians to deny all of this three hours later, and for the US to then seize an oil tanker belonging to Iran.

The only ending that makes any sense is the way Scarface ended, or the way Bonnie and Clyde ended. They will go down in a hail of bullets. Now the question is not how it ends, but whether or not their allies (Russia and China, etc) are going to be able to wipe out the US with a Pearl Harbor like attack.

I think that WW2 was a precursor to the seven year tribulation. The holocaust was a precursor, the atomic bomb was a precursor, etc. WW2 gave birth to the UN and the seven year tribulation will give birth to the thousand year millennial reign of Jesus Christ. Just like Pearl Harbor is what got the US involved, I think the Ezekiel 38 battle is a description of a similar "Pearl Harbor" like event to kick off the seven years, it will be nuclear and it will involve the US.

This is correct he had a bad day

However, that suffering can be likened to a prize fight between Jesus and death and Jesus was victorious. If you have ever watched a heavyweight fight "a lot of bad stuff" happens to both fighters, whether they win or lose. The only way to take away sins and deliver us from the fear of death was for the Lord to do that.
This has NOTHING to do with my initial response. Your preaching to the choir and off topic here.

JOB gave up nothing it was all taken from him. He suffered greatly. It was a bad experiance. This is my point. He was a great man and his faith or prayers did not stop the bad events from happening.... and it wont avoid them in the life of the believer either
If this verse is not your reality it raises many questions that would be best asked and answered by you going to the Lord Jesus and talking to him about it, not me.
Jesus christ, you are dense, and that verse has no context to this thread. No one is referencing someone giving anything up... the context is satanic attack on a faithfull believer.

Second I wasn't asking anything I was helping someone before you injected meaningless drivel into it. Which only served to confuse the issue.
