The Psalms are a journal of the Melchisedec Priesthood (part 1)

But Paul inherited this principle. So did Peter and James and the writer of Hebrews. They inherited it from the Psalms.

I understood who the writer of Hebrews was when you shared the four books. And it is so obvious now. And I am not one to read the NT, or even think about these books, other than the gospels, but I will now.

But I like the Revelation.
And regarding the Melchisedec Priesthood. How does it apply to Rev. 2-3? Because it must, as these are the marriage gifts to the 144,000.

But I do not want to take away from the subject of this thread. Nevertheless, when you have time and consider this subject, then thank you.

The seven letters of Revelation 2–3 are not merely assessments of seven first-century congregations.
Read through the lens of the Melchizedekian priesthood, they map the complete interior journey of the
believer — from the moment of salvation to the throne of co-regency with Christ. The 144,000 of
Revelation 14 are those who have traversed every stage: who have held through every temptation,
received every priestly provision, and been formed into what the pattern running from Genesis 3
through Melchizedek through Job has always been producing. What follows is that journey, stage by
stage.

Thank you. I had thought the entirety of Rev. 2-3 came into play at the marriage because Rev. 13:9 of the third storyline (ch. 12-16) harmonizes with Rev. 19:1-8 of the fourth storyline (ch. 17-21). And you may consider these sections something other than storylines, and if so, what would you say these are?

Nevertheless, if I am understanding you correctly, the path of the 144,000 is complete before the marriage of Rev. 19:1-8. And if not, then where is the dividing point, before and after the co-regency with Christ at the marriage? That is, at what point in the map of the interior journey of the believer, if at all, does the marriage of Rev. 19:1-8 place?

The 144,000 can be seen in the dimensions of the wall of the New Jerusalem. The church is the Temple of God according to the book of Ephesians and so when Jesus said He would build His church that includes the wall.

The 144-Cubit Wall and the 144,000

The 144-cubit wall (Revelation 21:17) and the 144,000 sealed servants (Revelation 7:4; 14:1) are not coincidental numbers. They represent the same spiritual reality expressed through two different mediums. The wall is the architectural expression of the city's security and order; the 144,000 are the living human building blocks that compose that very wall.

The Living Stone Connection

In biblical architecture, a city wall is not built of cold, dead concrete — it is built of living stones. Paul writes that the church is 'built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, growing into a holy temple' (Ephesians 2:20-21). Peter commands believers to be 'like living stones, built up as a spiritual house' (1 Peter 2:5).

When John measures the wall and finds it is 144 cubits, he specifically notes that this is by 'human measurement, which is also an angel's' (Revelation 21:17) — a direct hint that the dimension is intended to represent people. The 144,000 sealed servants from the twelve tribes (12,000 x 12) are the literal living stones forming the barrier of ultimate protection.

The Gematria and Prophetic Math of 144

12 (Tribes of Israel) x 12 (Apostles of the Lamb) = 144. By multiplying 12 by 12, the math structurally fuses the Old Covenant and the New Covenant into a single unified entity. When you take the 144-cubit building block of the wall and multiply it by 1,000 — the biblical number for a completed military unit — you get 144,000. The 144,000 are the wall scaled out into a living army.

Very nice. Beautiful work.

Regarding the four horsemen. How do these relate to the four storylines, if at all?

The Father relates to the seals?
Jesus, relates to the trumpets?
The angel, and we know who this is, relates to the mark of the beast storyline (ch. 12-16)?
And John relates to the fall of Babylon storyline (ch. 17-21)?

Do you have any idea of what these relationships are, if at all, between these four individuals and the four storylines?

And I should clarify.
The four horsemen ride upon the power of the four horses. The list above is of the four individuals having power, the horses.

1 Peter 3:7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

This is the goal for both James and Peter, to present a path for us to take so that our prayers would not be hindered.

8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: 9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

We understand that people will treat us in a way that is evil, they will curse us, they will rail against us, but our response is not to do the same but rather to respond with blessing. Think of each person who curses you or rails against you as someone who has raised their hand asking God for a blessing. Because they are dead in their sins in the world this is how they behave, but the best way to respond is with blessing. Jesus said "with what measure you measure it will be measured to you". We were called to this ministry, to this priesthood, so that we could inherit blessing. So every time you pour out blessing for those that curse you and rail against you it provides an opportunity for God to pour out blessing to you.

10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: 11 Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.

What is "guile"? It is the "gotcha journalism" that Palin referred to when she was running for vice president. It is someone who pretends to be asking for help and guidance when in reality they are simply looking for an angle of attack.

12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

This is precisely what we see in the story of Job. It all begins with Job being righteous. This means that he is walking according to the royal law to do unto others as he would have them do to him. People in the world love to gossip, they love to learn about others faults and sins. Job was contrary to that, he was praying that if any of his children did have faults and sins that God would forgive them. This is what caused God's eyes to be on Job and why He told Satan to take a look at Job. This is why Job's prayers entered the courtroom of God. They were not selfish prayers, he was praying according to God's will revealed in Genesis 3 to cover man's nakedness and to restore the fellowship between God and man. On the other hand if you do evil, if you curse others, if you rail against others, if you are looking for some way to bring others down then God's face is against you.

1 Peter 3:13 And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?

Paul tells us to put on the whole armor of God so that we would not be harmed. To be girt about with the truth, to have the breastplate of righteousness on, to have your feet shod with the gospel of peace and your head covered with the helmet of salvation, and to have a shield of faith. These things are all about being followers of that which is good. The word of God is a lamp unto our feet, without the word of God you are in the dark and cannot see the narrow way, much less follow it.

14 But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; 15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: 16 Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.

Nothing can be any more clearer than when they attack you for righteousness sake. We have seen this many times recently. They drag some man out of a school board hearing because his daughter was assaulted in the bathroom at school due to their policy of letting boys into the girl's bathroom. Don't back down, rather sanctify the Lord Jesus in your heart and walk according to Christ. You will put them to shame for their false accusations.

17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.

Satan is the prince of the power of the air, the ruler of this darkness. Any time you shine a light on that darkness he will retaliate and that will be to cause you to suffer for well doing. However, suffering for well doing causes the spotlight to shine on that evil and expose Satan even more.

18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

When Jesus was crucified it shined a bright floodlight on how evil the rulers of the Jews and of the Romans were.

19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; 20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

When you take a stand for the Lord it becomes a powerful testimony to the spiritual forces of evil of the coming execution of their judgment. They have been judged already at the time of Noah, but when you are found guilty of a crime in a court of law you don't get sentenced the same day. Rather the judge must now look at the judgment and the trial and determine the appropriate penalty. So the sentencing takes place later. During that sentencing hearing you get to hear from those who were wronged and harmed by the crime. Jesus was a witness of the harm their crimes do when he preached to the spirits in prison. Think how much more powerful that testimony is if you were doing good and returning blessing for cursing. We don't consider "self defense" to be a crime. If you return reviling for reviling and cursing for cursing then it is hard to say who was at fault. But if you were praying for them, blessing them, and suffering for doing good, then it is crystal clear who is at fault.

21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

And this chapter has described the spiritual reality of Baptism. In the world we all wear the same clothes, it is "tit for tat". You attack me, I attack you. You curse me, I curse you. You rail against me, I rail against you. Wives attack husbands, husbands attack wives. But when we become born again we take those clothes off and we put on Jesus Christ. When they cursed Him He blessed them. When they railed against Him He blessed them. This also "saves us". It isn't the salvation by the blood of Jesus, that was the price for our forgiveness, we cannot and could not afford that price, and so that salvation if all of the Lord and not of us. No, this is a different form of salvation. You see, you reap what you sow. If you sow cursing, you reap cursing. So to put a stop to sowing cursing means you also stop reaping cursing. But if you instead of repaying cursing with cursing, if you repay cursing with blessing, not only do you stop sowing and reaping cursing, but you are now sowing and reaping blessing. So when Peter talks about this "saving us" he doesn't mean redemption, we are already redeemed. He means instead of us reaping a steady stream of cursing, that stops and now we are reaping a steady stream of blessing. We were dwelling on the ash heap just like Job but we have turned it into a garden that is reaping a wonderful harvest.

22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

Do you see that! They cursed Jesus, slandered Him, crucified Him, treating Him as the absolute worst offender. But God has put Him on His right hand! He has made all those evil powers who tried to hold Him down, God has made all of them subject to Jesus. This is the path that Job took and this is the path that we are to take. Jesus is our forerunner, He cut the way for us to follow.

The Mystery of 144,000 | Jonathan Cahn Sermon

The 144,000 come from every tribe (Joseph is counted twice and Dan is excluded). Because of this people think they are "Jewish". But the 144,000 have the name of God the Father and the name of Jesus Christ on their foreheads. It is crystal clear from this that they are Christians. 12 x 12 is 144. The 144,000 are the Old Testament Patriarchs mingled with the twelve apostles. Just as the 12 apostles do not include Judas, so also the 12 Patriarchs do not include Dan. In Ezekiel they have a mark on their forehead, and the Hebrew letter for this word "mark" is Tav which is a T or a t. They have the sign of the cross on their forehead. When Paul says "I have been crucified with Christ and it is no longer I that live" that is the mark on the forehead that the 144,000 have. Paul was both of the tribe of Benjamin and a born again Christian. He is an example of the 144,000. Peter, James, John, Matthew, and Jude are all examples of the 144,000.

One of the mistakes many who presume to teach the Bible make is to assume that Revelation, the conclusion to the entire 66 books would introduce some new thing. The function of the conclusion is not to introduce new things, rather The conclusion to a document serves to wrap up the narrative or data, providing closure and leaving the reader with a final, memorable impression. It summarizes main points, explains the broader significance of the information, and answers why the topic matters

The 144,000 wraps up the narrative that the New Testament and Old Testament have provided. It is a final, memorable impression. It summarizes the main points. These 144,000 are the army that God and the Lord Jesus have been raising. It shows that they bear the name of God and the Lord Jesus, that is the image and likeness. It shows they bear the mark of the cross. And it tells you why this matters. This is the army that displaces Satan and the fallen angels. They are the ones who act as the wall to God's temple, keeping out that which is not of God and protecting that which is of God.

ZNP,
I love your work. It is amazing.
However, Chan leaves some to be desired.
Dan is not from the type of Judas, but of Levi.
Whereas Levi was the tribe of priests disbursed over the whole of Israel, Dan is the tribe of Judges disbursed over the whole of the 144,000. Or better stated, whereas Israel was to be a house of priests after the order of Levi, the 144,000 are judges after the order of Dan.
And Manasses was a placeholder for Levi, but now is a placeholder for Dan.

So while Chan's work is impressive, it does not reach to the upper levels of the doctrinal strata as does yours.

One can debate this, of course, but Dan was the first tribe in the apostasy, and judging others like a serpent biting the leg of the horse, is not a positive picture, it is a picture of the ministry of condemnation rather than the ministry or reconciliation, or worse, it indicates repaying evil with evil.

Gen. 49:16-18 Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel. Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward. 18I have waited for thy salvation, O LORD.

Yes, it sounds like a bad report. But as a judge, being a serpent in the path, to bite the horse heels to make the rider fall backward. Sounds like a judgment upon the horse, to make its rider fall.
Not a judgment upon many. But one specific power, Lucifer, to make his rider, the beast, fall.
This is the war against the Savior's enemies during the tribulation and judgment.

Nevertheless, I could be wrong.

That would not explain why Dan is omitted from the list of tribes that are part of the 144,000. Also the fact that the foundation of the wall is the 12 apostles and one of them was disqualified, Judas, and replaced gives support to the idea that one of the 12 tribes would also be disqualified and replaced. Because 12x12 is 144, the 12 tribes x 12 apostles.

ZNP,
I want you to know that I bow to you with the utmost respect. Thank you for giving me your time.

Dan is omitted just as Levi was omitted. Manassas took Levi's place in the twelve, and likewise Manassas takes Dan's place in the twelve.

The fall of Judas has nothing to do with it.

Whereas Levi was the priests for the house of Israel, now the 144,000, all being priests, are the judges for the house of Israel.
Therefore, Levi was returned, and Dan removed.

The actions of the 144,000 as judges is primairly given in Rev. 16:2-7. They must discern those who followed the beasts of Rev. 13:11, 13:1, and 8:10, called the beast of the earth, the beast of the sea, and Wormwood, to disqualify these three groups from being gathered during the 3.5-year judgment. They are the judges of the judgment to gather only the repentant from the earth. And those who are of the three groups are not acceptable to the Lord. This is also referenced in Rev. 14:7.

In the end, these 144,000 judges will reign with the Savior as indicated in Rev. 20:4.

I don't think Jacob prophecied Dan's demise if you read carefully Benjamin received a similar prophecy he was called a wolf. His tribe raped and left for dead a priest's wife and the story goes that the other Israelites nearly wiped them out because of it. I'm sure Dan has a similar story, but I certain they wouldn't be wiped out because of it. That's just not how Elohim works. As far as the rapture goes. That is a new theology created in Europe it has no Scriptural support neither in Old nor in New Testament.

There are a variety of interpretations on why Dan is not listed as one of the twelve tribes composing the 144,000. At one extreme on a spectrum of interpretations is Jonathan Cahn saying it is because Dan was the leader of the apostasy and therefore he is not part of the wall. The wall is for separation, and holiness, Dan in his apostasy had no separation or holiness. On the other end of the extreme is. someone saying that the entire 144,000 are "the judge" that Dan is prophesied to be. That the entire 144,000 are the wall that decides who to keep out and who to protect. They support this interpretation saying that the tribe of Levi did not inherit the land because God was their inheritance. So Joseph got a double portion, both Ephraim and Manasseh got portions in the land and Levi didn't get anything because God was their portion.

Those are two extremely different interpretations. I would be inclined to believe that it was the second interpretation if there were a word in the Bible that Dan as the judge would act as a wall just as there is a word in the Bible explaining why Levi did not get an inheritance of the land. Since there is no such word I think that Jonathan Cahn's interpretation (which is considered a mainstream interpretation) is more likely, but I have an open mind. I don't think the verse that he will judge his brothers is enough, but I am open if someone can find a prophecy or word elsewhere that would support that interpretation. I think Dan's history of being first to embrace the apostasy would make them like Laodicea, that was the lampstand that had lost Jesus Christ as the light and life. He was outside of their church.

I also think Judas is very relevant. The 144,000 are a mingling of the twelve tribes and the twelve apostles. If one of the twelve apostles is disqualified, it would only seem fitting if one of the twelve tribes is also disqualified.

It is reasonable to consider the replacement of Judas after he fell.
And by comparison, it is reasonable to consider the replacement of Levi after he excelled.

So, the question is whether Dan is replaced as Judas, who was a son of perdition, or if Dan is replaced as Levi, a servant of God?

It is reasonable to consider the replacement of Judas after he fell.
And by comparison, it is reasonable to consider the replacement of Levi after he excelled.

So, the question is whether Dan is replaced as Judas, who was a son of perdition, or if Dan is replaced as Levi, a servant of God?
Levi was not replaced, he was the "tithe" to God.

Levi was not replaced, he was the "tithe" to God.

Manasses took the place of Levi in the order of the twelve tribes when Levi was called to serve.
In Rev. 7:4-8 Levi is returned because there is no longer the need for priests to serve since all 144,000 are priests serving God.
