God's moral laws are absolute and unchangeable. Murder will always be wrong. So Murder is obviously not a part of the old or new wine skin.

Old wine skin/wine are the Mosaic laws or Old Covenant.
New wine skins/ new wine is the New Covenant.

So your argument fails miserably as the terms do not apply to murder. I often see that Sabbatarians can't see that the old Covenant has ceased. They continue to think we must honor the Sabbath in a legalistic fashion. In fact legalism underpins almost all cults.

Even while Jesus was on the earth he was bringing the new covenant even before his death/Resurrection. He plucked grain from the field and healed on the Sabbath--violations of the old Mosaic laws. Jesus even downgraded the dietary laws by saying "It is not what goes in that defiles a man, it is what comes out of him".

My freind it is time for you to cast off the yoke of Moses and try on the new yoke of Christ.

It is a certainty that we are under the New Covenant...........and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.......HE IS OUR SALVATION!

Not a one is defended to the Pharisees as much as the Sabbath DAY is.

So, what's your point? Jesus was an idiot and didn't understand the Church HE is the High Priest of?

So you observe the sabbath, good for you.
Now, find a red heifer.
What? - You can't? Then buy pigeons.....and bleed them out.

What? C'mon man, you are slacking off.

now the burdens of the sabbath was lifted but the day is blessed i am no adventist but i studied through scriptures to make such remarks is distasteful and to say ignorant there is no need for such violence as jesus taught us peace

The Law vs. Grace:
Romans 6:14For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, butunder grace.

Romans 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by thebody of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raisedfrom the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

Romans 10:1-4) Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, thatthey might be saved. For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, butnot according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, andgoing about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselvesunto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law forrighteousness to everyone that believeth. 9.) That if thou shalt confess withthy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raisedhim from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10.) For with the heart man believethunto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, butby the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that wemight be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law; forby the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

3:7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the childrenof Abraham. 10) For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse:for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things whichare written in the book of the law to do them. 11) But that no man is justifiedby the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live byfaith. 12) And the law is not of faith; but, The man that doeth them shall livein them. 13) Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made acurse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:17) And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God inChrist, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. 18) For if the inheritance beof the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.19) Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed shold come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained byangles in the hand of a mediator, ……23) But before faith came, we were keptunder the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. 24)Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we mightbe justified by faith. 25) But after that faith is come, we are no longer undera schoolmaster. 26) For ye are all the children of God by faith in ChristJesus.

Ephesians 2:8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is thegift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. 15) Having abolished inhis flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; forto make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace. 16) And that he mightreconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmitythereby; …….19) Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, butfellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

Colossians 2: 6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk yein him; 7) Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye havebeen taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. 8) Beware lest any man spoilyou through philosophy and vain deceit, after the traditions of men, after therudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9) For in him dwelleth all thefullness of the Godhead bodily, 10) And ye are complete in him, which is thehead of all principality and power;

3:14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond ofperfectness. 15) And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the whichalso ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. 16) Let the word of Christdwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another, inpsalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to theLord.

Timothy 1:9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but forthe lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy andprofane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4) Whowill have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5)For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man ChristJesus;

Titus 3:4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward manappeared, 5) Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according tohis mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the HolyGhost; 6) Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7)That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to thehope of eternal life.

Hebrews 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how muchalso he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon betterpromises. 7) For if the first covenant had been faultless, then should no placehave been sought for the second. 8) For finding fault with them, he saith,Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with thehouse of Israel and with the house of Judah; …………12) For I will be merciful totheir unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember nomore. 13) In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Nowthat which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by meansof death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the firsttestament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternalinheritance. 16) For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be thedeath of the testator…………28) So Christ was once offered to bear the sins ofmany; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time withoutsin unto salvation.

10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very imageof the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by yearcontinually make the comers thereunto perfect. 2) For then would they not haveceased to be offered? Because that the worshippers once purged should have hadno more conscience of sins…… 9) Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, ohGod. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. 10) By thewhich will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christonce for all.

jesus is our salvation but we still have to live to the righteousness of the spirit (holiness a fullfillment of God"s truth) and i urge you to study the prophets it fullfills jesus christ doctrine

Ignorance has a cure.....

You are 100% correct if people are preaching we must only attend church on a specific day, Saturday or Sunday or any other day, it is clearly error.

The SABBATH DAY has nothing to do when you go to Church.
Going to Church is WORSHIP (allegedly)
SABBATH is a day to Keep HOly.
Being in Church doesn't make it holy.

Keep the Sabbath as you see fit on the seventh day, and attend church on the first day.

I never support any person or system that would claim one day is the correct day to worship--that would make me a legalistic Judaizer.

No it wouldn't. The decalogue was given to Moses before the law. THE LAW is what you'd have to embrace to be a legalistic (don't use that racial epithet personally.) The decalogue was before the law. It was a different and separate covenant.

MOST IMPORTANTLY THOUGH, The Sabbath has been a holy day since First MAN. There was no Jew when it was made Holy. It was made Holy for all mankind. Well, at least all the sons of Adam, and by default Noah.

I have never once claimed Sunday or any other day must be kept.

If you are married, you keep your honeymoon as a day of remembrance. You keep birthdays of those you love as a day of remembrance. You give your children gifts on graduation as gifts of remembrance. You do that because you love them. GOD made a day Holy, for US TO REMEMBER. Since you crap on his wishes, can I assume you don't love GOD as much as you do those you keep days of remembrance for? Pretty hard for me to see you as righteous, knowing you think pagan holidays are more important than a day GOD asked us to remember.

Col. 2:16 makes it very clear that we can worship on any day and no one is to judge us in this freedom. Sabbath keeping is part of the old wine skin, the Mosaic law. You can not pour new wine into an old wine skin.

YOu have no earthly clue on what Col 2 is discussing, do you. Buy a book on Jewish holidays and why they keep them. Look at ALL THE SABBATHS they have. Now, if you have a history in that book, you'll see that different sects of Jews kept different Sabbaths. They would argue over who was most holy for their sabbaths. Paul said SABBATHSSSSSSSSSSSSSS, not SABBATH DAY.

Education, requires you open the door to your mind so information can get in. BUT, it's a cure.

The Law vs. Grace:

The LAW was the law. The covenant/law Paul describes is the one that had people circumcised as a whole, to keep. THE DECALOGUE IS NOT PART OF THAT LAW. IT SUPERSEDED THAT LAW! IT IS A SEPARATE COVENANT.

SEPARATE COVENANT.

SEPARATE..........

.........................COVENANT!

Break one piece of that covenant, the whole thing is broken.

GOD WROTE IT, it was HIS DEAL, you do NOT have the authority to rewrite HIS DEALS anymore than you have a right to tell someone they will never be saved. It's not in your hands to do.

So you observe the sabbath, good for you.
Now, find a red heifer.
What? - You can't? Then buy pigeons.....and bleed them out.

What? C'mon man, you are slacking off.

Did you deliberately ignore fifteen posts that answered ever ridiculous comment you just made before you made it?

There was NO SACRIFICING in the COvenant the Sabbath Day was written, and there was ZERO sacrifices when it was instituted.

You are one of those people who can't answer the exegetical summarization of scripture, so you just say snotty, rude, attempts to belittle the ones making the arguments.

You can do what you will to me. The Bible still says what it says.

You guys can gang up on me and call me names, imply I'm stupid, IGNORE WHAT I HAVE SAID THAT ANSWERS YOUR IDIOTIC REPEATED STATEMENTS, just so you can say them again and again... but all it proves is you have no answers. You know you are wrong.

Do you keep your anniversary, child's birthday, wife's birthday etc..... to honor them?

God asked you to keep this day. Since you admit freely you'd make fun of God for expecting you to honor the day He set aside, I'll assume that you love your children/wife/etc... more than you love Him. Look me up later in history and tell me how that is working with you.

IDIOTIC......[h=2]Definition of IDIOTIC[/h]1
: characterized by idiocy

2
: showing complete lack of thought or common sense :foolish

The statments were what I referenced as IDIOTIC because they have been answered a dozen times already.

Calm down man.

Good Grief!

Don't lose your victory over it.

You have made some points which I will research,........in the mean time God richly bless you with all spiritual blessings in Christ Jesus!:)

17 What I am saying is this: the Law, which came four hundred and thirty years later, does not invalidate a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to nullify the promise. 18 For if the inheritance is[aa]based on law, it is no longer [ab]based on a promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by means of a promise. Gal 3: nasb.

Paul states, point blank, that the law, doesn't invalidate a covenant previously established by God. He uses Abe as the example.

[h=3]Genesis 2[/h]New American Standard Bible (NASB)

[h=3]The Creation of Man and Woman[/h]2 Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their hosts. 2 By the seventh day God completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. 3 Then God blessed the seve

Who does GOD sanctify things for?

In Mark 2:27, Jesus says: "The Sabbath was made for man."

NOT SO HE knows they are special, HE doesn't need a reminder, HE IS GOD. HE DETERMINES WHAT IS HOLY. HE established the SEVENTH DAY as a sanctified day, a day set apart for rest.

THIS is not any covenant that MOses wrote, nor dictated.

It is before the laws that Moses dictated.

Paul says the law didn't do away with this event of God making it a special day.

JAMES ( err mea culpa, I think I've said PAUL a dozen times....:( )
James 2:10 Whoever breaks one commandment is guilty of breaking them all. 11 For the same one who said, "Do not commit adultery," also said, "Do not commit murder." Even if you do not commit adultery, you have become a lawbreaker if you commit murder.NASB

Study this verse, I mean seriously draw it out on paper to track his comment.

WHOEVER breaks ONE commandment breaks them all.

Which commandments is he discussing?

Murder, Adultery, hmmmm where do we find THOSE commandments?

10-God-Man.gif

NOTICE the first four are those that honor GOD.

It is from that side that you wish to take it upon yourself to edit HIS COVENANT TO US.
(Note: Moses/MAN didn't write these rules and submit them to GOD, HE did to us. Would you walk to God at Judgement and start telling him WHO He got it wrong on? That's what you do here.)

THE LAW that PAUL discusses in his diatribes does have laws REGARDING THE SABBATHS that you can freely ignore along with sacrifices.

But the SABBATH DAY superseded the law.

Now, here is what is about to happen. The details of this post, the scriptural references, and the reasoning behind them, NOT TO MENTION the consistency of the whole of the position throughout the thread will be ignored. Someone will take a wise jab at me and "put me in my place".

But, the Bible says what it says. If I am wrong, then show me my error. If you can not show me my error, then I need not acknowledge I'm wrong.

Calm down???

what makes you think I'm not calm?

I'm very calm. I'm matter of fact. I'm also abused for my belief, and yet, not a one of you can show me the scripture I present says other than it does.

All we've seen and heard are myths, legends, old wives tales, passed down for generations.

When people stop parroting what others have turned into a farce and come to the table and discuss scripture, someone may learn something.

This is a Christian Chat forum. This is a Bible Discussion chapter of this forum.

There has been sparse BIBLE DISCUSSED by your side of the table. BUT THEY HAVE SAID a ton of things that are attempts to belittle those who concede the Seventh day Sabbath. No matter what we show in scripture or reason, we are still bashed at a personal (and oh so typically Christian) level.

If you can't discuss the Bible and what it says about this, make a thread called, MAKING FUN OF PEOPLE WHO WON'T JOIN MY EDITING GOD'S WORD CULT!!!! And have a field day.

Of course, you do realize that Jesus fulfilled all of the law.
So to enter into His rest(Hebrews 4) means to believe on whom the Father has sent.(John 6:27-29)
You do realize this truth, right?

.....so, I'm confused.......didn't try to rewrite anything......quoted Scripture, didn't even make a personal comment on the post as I recall, and I surely didn't tell (or even suggest) anyone that they were not saved.......

You posted scripture, with no commentary, to try to answer an issue.

The issue you appeared to be promoting was no need to keep the Seventh Day sabbath.

You don't HAVE to intend to do something to do it. I don't care what your motivation is, I can only guess, and it is rude to do so unless in a case of it's the last straw to help someone see how they behave.

You hold a position that contradicts scripture, UNLESS you were protecting the Seventh day Sabbath in those postings, which did not seem to be the case. BUT HEY, I've had to admit to being wrong 3x in 2 days, I'm on a tear. So, show me I'm wrong.

now the burdens of the sabbath was lifted but the day is blessed i am no adventist but i studied through scriptures to make such remarks is distasteful and to say ignorant there is no need for such violence as jesus taught us peace

Telling someone they are miseducated, uneducated on a topic is required for them to begin to consider there may be more to learn. You may find it "jesus" like to let them continue in ignorance, but I think that's just chicken. If I was walking off a cliff, I'd expect you to say what you had to to get me to listen. If you sit back and be "what you see as JESUS like" and not speak, you are a ..... mean person, or totally thoughtless person.

I think the lines between obedience out of reverence for yahweh and obedience for salvation have been blurred. Please dont anyone jump on me but I think alot of the modern teaching dosent condem sin, just kind of ignores it and says all is well we are saved. So when some (like myself) talks about obedience some feel they are trying to be saved by obedience, and then that makes me feel like the person saying this is trying to justify their iniquity. While neither side probably has the correct view of the other. i just want to point to some verses that have made me feel I NEED TO HUBLE MYSELF TO OBEY. And what I did is realized I needed to take these verses serious, insted of finding a verses to "counter" as we know there is no contradict so trying to counter is false, we need to take all Scripture into consideration. Im asking all to not counter but try to really unserstand the message presented here.

1 Corinthians 9:24-27, "Do you not know that those who run in a race all compete, but only one receives the prize? So run your race that you may lay hold of the prize, and make it yours. And everyone who competes conducts himself temperately in all things. Now they compete to obtain a perishable crown; but we for an imperishable crown. Therefore, I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man who beats the air. No, I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified."

Hebrews 10:26-30
"For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. Those who rejected the Law given through Mosheh died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished, who has trampled the Son of Yahweh underfoot, and has counted the blood of the covenant (with which He was sanctified) an unholy thing, and who has insulted the Spirit of mercy? For we know Him Who has said: Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says Yahweh. And again: Yahweh will judge His people."

Romans 3:25, "Whom Yahweh set forth as a sacrifice of atonement by His own blood, through the faith, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of Yahweh."

Hebrews 6:3-6, "If indeed Yahweh permits, we will now proceed to advanced teaching. For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, And the righteous, having come to know that which is spoken by Yahweh through the Law and the Prophets, the power of Yahweh, and the world to come, If they shall fall away, it is impossible for them to be renewed to repentance again. They have rejected the Son of Yahweh, and therefore are alienated from Yahweh."

Mattithyah 7:21-23, "Not everyone who says to Me; Teacher! Teacher! will enter into the Kingdom of Yahweh, but only he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day; Teacher! Teacher! Have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and in Your Name performed many wonderful works? But then I will declare to them; I never knew you. Get away from Me, you who practice iniquity."

Iniquity is Word #458 from word #459, Greek Dictionary, Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, meaning not subject to (Yahweh's) Laws, transgressor.

PS none of theses are about being saved they are about NOT BEING DISQUALIFIED (to me that is)

So, YOU CAN READ MY MIND! (I knew it!)

I quoted Scripture to GIVE SOME Scriptural references to the thread, which has lacked such, and been greatly influenced with denominational theology in my opinion. As for the "issue I am promoting," it is.........WE ARE NOT THE AUTHORS of all this, God is............can't quite understand why people can't just accept that God knows what He is doing.......and why we have to always try and improve on what He has done...........oh well.

I have no creed but the Word of God, and in my opinion, that in no way contradicts Scripture...........or are you suggesting that if a person sees something differently than you that THEY are the one's who hold such positions of contradictions?

MY POSITION IS: Our salvation, and our walk with Christ, and the UNDERSTANDING of Scripture that we are given by the Holy Spirit IS A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN US AND HIM......

AND IT CAN, AND OFT TIMES DOES DIFFER FROM THAT OF OTHERS...........and that in no way makes it wrong.

No two persons are alike, we are all UNIQUE creations of God, otherwise He coulda just threw together a bunch of robots and been done with it.

WERE THEY NOT THERE to make a point.

IF SO what was the point.

AND THEN, how did my comments not address your intended point?

I have no creed but the Word of God, and in my opinion, that in no way contradicts Scripture.....

I didn't realize I was sitting with someone so awesome God chose them to be the canon of the proper read of all scripture. It's hard to discuss something you disagree on, with someone who starts from the position they "IN NO WAY" contradict scripture. Especially when they are, and you show it and they get angry, not exegetical.

.....or are you suggesting that if a person sees something differently than you that THEY are the one's who hold such positions of contradictions?

I'm not the one presenting my beliefs as if I were the sole arbiter of all Holy Word. I'm on record as being here to be challenged and be proven wrong. I've made HUGE theological changes because of discussions like these in the last ten or so years. When was the last MAJOR PILLAR OF FAITH theological change you made?

MY POSITION IS: Our salvation, and our walk with Christ, and the UNDERSTANDING of Scripture that we are given by the Holy Spirit IS A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN US AND HIM......

AND IT CAN, AND OFT TIMES DOES DIFFER FROM THAT OF OTHERS...........and that in no way makes it wrong.

Oh pshaw, that wasn't what you were saying in that post..... that's hogwash.

No two persons are alike, we are all UNIQUE creations of God, otherwise He coulda just threw together a bunch of robots and been done with it.

Yeah, I get it, there is no absolute truth to scripture, there is ONLY what yo uwant to declare it means when you need it to declare something.

I go at it differently. It's a pillar. I build my house around that pillar. I don't build a house then try to move the pillar.

In a discussion about SUNDAY SABBATh, you post a verse about not being under the law, (first verse only) and want to claim it was to make a point about scripture can change meaning from person to person?

That's just flat out intellectually dishonest. How do we discuss with someone who won't even stand by what they submitted.

EVERY VERSE is saying the law is nil, in your eyes. Tell me I'm wrong, then show how I could be.

In a discussion about something people try to misrepresent as under the law is debated, and you post things about not living under the law, I STAND BY MY WORDS, and do NOT have to read your mind, your behavior, and "snippets" you posted said something. I take it for what it said.

Your reading minds thing, is a personal jab to belittle, to try to grab more footing in the argument.

well.....what do we have here?

you are imposing your own interpretation of what I am saying to be what I am saying......

Scriptures were there as FYI, and folks can read and understand them as led to.......not as I would have them to.......

Holding the position that the Word of God is the TRUTH cannot possibly contradict Scripture can it? Doesn't make me special, it makes me non-denominational........trusting in the Word of God as Truth, and not a Creed written by man.......

QUOTE: I'm not the one presenting my beliefs as if I were the sole arbiter of all Holy Word. END QUOTE......

You might want to reread your comment that I was referring to.........it was you who determined that I was wrong and you were right...........was it not? If you spend your time in your comments telling others how they are wrong, you can't claim that you aren't doing such..........your comments are there for all to read.

QUOTE: You hold a position that contradicts scripture, END QUOTE.......

You pass judgment on me by pretending to know what "position" I hold........this is why I stated "what position I hold." If you are going to misjudge what I believe, my position is, then I certainly have the obligation to state the truth and negate your pretended knowledge of my thoughts/beliefs.

As for your closing comments...........uh, try looking in a mirror........anyway, since you have perfect "insight" I suppose it's pointless for me to have an opinion.......simply march lock-step along behind you eh?
