French Onion Prime Rib Sandwich ~ AVAILABLE WHILE THEY LAST ~
Our petite cut of prime rib is charcoal grilled & topped with melted provolone & Swiss cheeses, caramelized onions & roasted garlic aioli. Served between garlic bread, with a side of our onion soup au jus for dipping & French fries. 2

Sautéed mushrooms, spinach & onions layered on griddled rye bread with Swiss cheese, coleslaw & our own Russian dressing; served with our deli salad of the day. 16

Wow established 1773! the oldest restaurant in NY?
I think Tony's Steakhouse might be the oldest restaurant in Auckland. There were 3, but now I think there's only 1 the original one left. It was established in 1963.
We didn't have restaurants until the 1960s here. If you wanted to go out to eat...well you couldn't. It was meat pie, or fish and chips. You had to make your own lunch and dinner.

When we had Tony's in my town, which WAS the oldest restaurant, I always ordered the lamb shanks, and the banoffee pie. We had $35 set menu. Those were the days!
The original one has surf n' turf and other steaks, as well as fish and chips, etc. It has that olde wooden decor with the booths and its like those olden day saloons, and the original cash register, and I think it had toby mugs on display.

yea, they have the best burgers.
Even better than Burger Fuel - their's are too big and soggy
Burger Kings are too burnt and sharp tasting, plus they don't really have veges and salads accompany. It's totally fried
McDonalds are just bog-standard children's fare
We did have one gourmet burger restaurant called Burger Burger, but it went under because it was so pricy. People weren't willing to pay $25 just for one burger.
There's now Re-burgers which I think are quite good, only ever had it once though. They also do fried chicken.
But really Wendy's is traditional burgers cooked to order and always have been, plus they use freshly ground meat patties not frozen or processed.

i'm a bit heartbroken for you. i wish you could afford the restaurants you wish to dine at. better days ahead for you i hope lanolin.
It's ok, it's only for special occasions really. I mean I can't do it everyday.
I would probably get a very sore tummy if I dined out all the time.
Went to the New New World.
Its ok but my supermarkets closest to me are cheaper with the exact same kind of food.
The only difference I can see is maybe their fresh seafood offering is better, but the price is double what you might pay anywhere else.

dining at wendy's is special? i heard of coriander, don't know what it is. why do you think your stomach would ache if you dined out more?

Coriander is an asian herb. Like cilantro. Or parsley.
In the Bible, manna is said to look like coriander seeds.
bread from heaven. i like cilantro. i make a salad dressing that contains cilantro, extra virgin olive oil, salt, pepper & lemon.
Foccacia and ciabatta are my favourite breads, to eat and make.
Sourdough is pretty nice too.
Maybe should start a loaves and fishes thread?

I bought 2 mini Choceurs, 2 artisan cheese and crackers snack pack...
I'm not sure NZ missing out on much as the Warehouse now have some groceries as well as everything else.

Dang went away, Dad didn't touch ANY of the vegetables, even the ones he chose himself at the supermarket.
The whole time I was away (4 days) he must have been subsisting on 2 sausages and toast.
I note that he bought 2 packets of shaved champagne ham. He likes ham sandwiches.

Way to go dad! Sausage and toast make a good breakfast. Have a ham sandwich for lunch every day. Feed that leafy green stuff to the rabbits.
