In order to confess Him as your Lord He must be your Lord. If He is not your Lord then mouthing the words, "Jesus is Lord" is not a confession. Because He is not your Lord; and therefore it is a lie; and therefore you are not agreeing with God (confessing) because God is not saying it; because it is a lie.

Just repeating the sinners' prayer after a preacher will not get anyone anywhere unless they believe and confess out of a sincere heart to the Lord.

?Once, perhaps, but four or five times is desperation I think. Also, most people do not do this, were they to do so it would be a very bumpy forum, don't you think?

I think that many people do, do this.

By the time I have been gone for a day, my threads have been bumped down to the third page already.

I like to keep them on the forefront in case there is anyone new to the boards who has not yet seen them.

You don't have to check every time to see whether I have posted any thing of value. Because you can be certain that much of the time it will only be a bump-up of the thread.

So just check on the posts more infrequently to see if anything of value has been added apart from the usual bumping up of the thread.

This is a topic that one must be careful, let us not judge whether one is a believer or not. We as christians are far from sinless. Look at it this way. As a human being we are composed of flesh and soul, and when we become christians we have with us the holy Spirit. Sometimes as christians we relent and satisfy the flesh instead of the spirit wished us to do. This is where grace comes in to pardon our sin.

Remember Hebrews 9:28 so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.

You appear to be excusing those who sin.

In the OP, we are told what the prayer is that we must make; and if God answers such a prayer, the person who prays it is not going to satisfy his flesh any more as a general rule.

Christ dealt with sin the first time that He came (Matthew 1:21, Titus 2:14, 1 John 3:9).
 
Surely not excusing sin, everyday most christians sin. Take the topic of Christmas, almost every christin celebrates it with Santa Claus, who know whether you have been naughty or nice making him a god. And do we not lie to our children about this day to make them happy. What a disgrace, we come to the notion this day is harmless. If israel had a santa, I wonder if they would exist today.

I believe in santa; I don't think that it is a lie.

He was a 4th century saint who may have had access to the tree of life being an overcomer in the church of Ephesus.

And elves may in fact be a reality since before Cain was even born Adam said to Eve that she was the mother of all living.

There are a lot more important things to think about anyway, than the understanding that there was a St. Nicholas in the 4th century A.D.
