Was anyone interested in dating Lynx at the meetup? 🤔

No one was interested in dating anyone else in the group at the meetup.

We're a friendship group.

Now of course, if people decided to date someone in the group, that would be great, but it hasn't happened in over 10 years (and I think I've known Lynx and Cinder for closer to 15.)

We do have one couple that dated and married among us, but that was in a larger group, and not the smaller one @Lynx, @cinder, @RodB651 and I refer to here.

So if Lynx is undateable, then apparently the rest of us are undateable too!

But I don't think you've mentioned having a husband or boyfriend either @Lanolin, so that makes me curious.

On a Scale of 1 (Single Loser Forever!) to 10 (Prime Marriage Material!) -- How Dateable Are You?

Just asking for a friend.

Have you've ever been scammed or duped? Cheated on or deceived?

If so can you share so we can learn from it - I mean so we can learn to be wiser, and avoid those traps.
After you found out, what did you do? And did the person who scammed or duped you get any consequences..I mean did they go to jail or return your time or money or whatever it is they scammed you for?

Do you have any safety tips - aside from buckle up and put your seatbelt on!
I don't mean just 'watch for red flags' I mean things we need to really know before we hand over our money/lives/personal information. Or not give that out at all. Especially to someone who we never met before/doesn't have any friends to vouch for them/love bombs us.
The best advice that I can give is love God with all your heart the best you can first. Don't look for love in people. Give but don't expect to receive anything in return. Our treasure is in heaven. Worldly things don't matter. Whatever you do for people in this world, you are doing for God and He sees and knows everything you do for Him.

Definitely sounds good in paper.
In practice, might need some training.

But my friend REALLY REALLY wants to know!!! 😁
I think Lanolin likes me. This could be her way of flirting.

...

...

Or this is her way of expressing intense rage and anger. Or maybe this is her way of joking. Hard to tell with her.

Claws out Lynx
Well... don't start nothing, there won't be nothing.

You kicked it off by accusing me of playing video games every waking moment, and you went on a gleeful accusatory joyride ever since. I'm just finally giving you a little bit back.

I thought you LIKED video games. So it's not an accusation. It's an all-consuming hobby for you. Nothing wrong with it, whatever floats your boat. Just sayin'.

Won't get you any dates though, even with a gamer girl.

I like games, but I'm not obsessed with them the way you tried to paint me.

I'm not even close to as obsessed with games as you are with Britain's royal family. :p

uh what colour? I haven't tried to paint you. That would be weird! You say a lot of strange things.. Really

I only do paint by numbers. Ask Tourist.

Took me about 45 years to figure it all out. Yes it does take practice. 😊🙏
This is the reason no matter how good it is in paper, has to take out for some test runs, go climb mountain, swim in ocean, serve in real local church, just a few times, all the truth comes out.
That's the benefit of middle aged people, we can't be fooled.

Sir Edmund Hillary climbed the highest mountain, but it didn't go so well for him when his first wife and daughter died in a plain crash en route to the mountain.

He got married again though! And his face is on the $5 note.

So he was rich, he was on the paper money.

Young people are very impressionable. I suppose all the wisdom only comes in middle age before you start becoming senile.

Churchgoer, you seem real intent on people going to local church. Is there not enough people going to yours?
Are they all going to the mega church miles away?

I'll be going to church next Saturday in another suburb for a funeral of my neighbour. I am not sure why she didn't go to the local church where we are, but, I kid you not, her daughter did had to stop going to the local church when she had an affair with her husband's best friend, who was a worship leader in the local church.

Don't worry it's all water under the bridge now. She got divorced and now living with her paramour.
Her mother was devastated as was her husband, but they got used to him.

She'd had four children too. And her ex-husband was a youth pastor as well. He'd known her through church. He was salvation Army I think but changed to baptist which was her church. Then when they got divorced he went to the local bible chapel church.
