It didn't work out -- he left for someone else.

As for what I'd hope for in the future?

Well, it's been so long that I'm at a point now where honestly, I don't think God has marriage planned for me anymore. I honestly don't think about it much because I find myself becoming discouraged.

But I'm open to following where He leads.

I'm so sorry, sister. I don't know about your past situation. But I truly believe you are a unique and charming woman who deserves someone better. We can't predict whether we will get married in the future, but God has become our eternal companion.

I think someone in this thread mentioned GOP?

I'm trying to find the post but must have missed it.

As someone mentioned, he would write mini-sermons and post them daily, which is great, but he never showed any interest in getting to know anyone here as a person.

And also as someone said, he would regularly bump his own threads when he felt enough of us hadn't read his sermons -- which is fine.

It's just not my style. I have limited time and am mainly interested in getting to know about people rather than read general preaching. But I do miss seeing him constantly bump his sermons.

I THINK (I could be wrong,) it was GOP who wrote the infamous thread, "Don't Take Your Jesus to a Night Club!!"

Which is a perfectly fine message, it's just that the majority people in Singles at the time were introverts who barely went out to dinner, let alone go clubbing.

It's always funny when people come in and just make automatic assumptions like that -- and boy, did we ever have a field day with that thread! 😁😎😂

On the CC Fiipino Christian forum?

Please don't say there's some kind of prostitution ring right under our noses. I don't go to that forum, or even properly checked it out, but I hope that thing never happens here. And if it did, the american guy was jailed/charged with grievous bodily harm.
 
I think I only ever posted in the Filipino forum once to ask who spoke Tagalog maybe I could learn a few phrases.

I do have a few Filipino friends.

I do post in BDF sometimes. I can't recall any specific memorable thread, but the run ins with staunch Calvinists are are recurring debates that never ever seem to end. They are the ones that start the threads though. And they want people to out TULIP them. the idea of it is to proudly say you the elect and everyone else is damned from even before they were born, because, as they want everyone to know, God plays favourites.

The fangs aren't though, they are there every time you open your mouth....

But I do notice sometimes you bite your own paw to stop yourself from saying whatever insult you had in mind...

Closest I can figure, Grand Old Party. That's what Republicans used to call it.

Did you know Republicans used to be liberals and Democrats used to be the conservative party? My how times have changed!

So cute!

I was meaning SS because I've kind of seen her rocking a Hello Kitty dress with frills. So far she's kind of got away with it unscathed.

@Lynx and I are basically the Comedy Odd Couple of CC.

When I go grocery shopping on the weekends, I'll post pictures of things I find in the stores, and he'll make his usual wry and witty observations -- to which I often disagree. 😁 :cool: 😇

Imagine that! :ROFL:

But the people we keep in touch with often say it's one of the highlights of their day so...

The show must go on! 📺😁🙃

Does he actually go over to your place at eat the grocery items if they are food?

Lol!

I can't believe I have to spell absolutely everything out to you when I mention having friends. :ROFL:

I have mentioned several times that I live several thousand miles away from the friends I've met on CC, but we are in a group chat on a messaging app.

When I go places, I snap pictures of what I find, along with commentary, then post them in chat to share what I find -- and the people in the group reply at will. :)

This is how we keep in touch, sometimes on a daily basis.

I don't have time to do that and I'm not sure they want to see the contents of my grocery shop esp since there's pretty much only two big supermarkets in NZ and we all shop at pretty much the same ones.

I mean the ones I met on CC. In my own country. Like ONE person.

I do recall you said a couple on CC got married (not JesusLives and Tourist) and one was a kiwi, and I asked well who was it and wherabouts did they live, maybe they lived in my town? But you didn't want to give out that information. I mean their avatar name even.

So I was unable to even meet them somewhere, like a church. I wasn't going to break up a couple or anything.

I'm just shocked, befuddled and puzzled that you would do this with Lynx on your own chat app that's not CC and not with us!

Every weekend! Like a virtual...date! :LOL:
