If I was a Republican supporter, I would be very worried about this. This is the first sign to me, that they will lose the next Presidential election.
You can see these signs leading up to elections. I saw it in Australia, and people didn't believe me that they would elect Prime Minister Drongo.
My prediction is that the Democrats when the next 2 terms of the presidency, because the Republicans can't back a centre right candidate of any worth. This emphasis on going further right into nut bag territory only alienated people more.

I see the Republicans split between the Republican and Libertarian parties. The Republican party out of tradition and the hope for the lesser of two evils, and the Libertarian party out of desire to turn the country around and remove big government from society. However, I predict the Democrats collectively mushing on toward their naked gay men parades and the government tightening its grip around their throats. Good job, Babylon. I guess it really is harder to create something worthwhile than it is to watch it burn. Here's to another 8 years of a democratic candidate.

Conservatism IS the answer. We have lost two critical elections because we went to the middle....exactly what the left wants. An impotent republican party.

No need to move. Europe's coming to the US. We'll all have one big happy North American Union. Those will be some happy sheep when they're strapped with a 50% tax rate, have less representation, and are caught by a dictator with their pants down around their ankles. Freedom to kill babies? Yes! Freedom to defend liberty with guns? Evil evil evil.
The Democrats are just another side of the same coin. They say they dislike big government, but then in the name of security (add whatever adjective you want before this word; national, social, etc.) they wear it as a badge and brag about it. Time to pull out and dust off my Judenstern (IRS targeting members of the Tea Party, anyone?). I'll need it when the liberals come, telling me I can't have guns and have to register about a billion forms of identification at the state and federal levels. The Libertarian party may sound crazy, but I have faith that America's checks and balances will keep it from getting out of hand and give it just enough room to put big government back in its place. So far it's the only option on the table that I predict will have a sane outcome.

The 2014 midterm election is the key to the 2016 presidential election. If the Republicans can take the Senate, it will be a crushing blow to Democrats and their presidential candidates.

If the Republican Party wants the Senate & White House, it will be the Independent bloc of voters which is rather large today. Independent voters are weary of Tea Party candidates and would vote every time for a Democratic candidate. Moderate Republicans were the party's best shot in winning key political posts. I consider myself an Independent and would not ever vote for a right wing or left wing radical
I have been hearing the independent vote is growing to be more and more conservative as conservatives leave the republican party, unhappy with their party's concessions to the left.

Since when did pro liberty, pro middle class, pro small business, pro small family, pro less taxes, pro help the poor with meaningful reforms, pro limited constitutional govt, pro life, pro law abiding citizens become far right extremists? A man mows his lawn and takes care of it realy well. His neighbor does not. His neighbor looks at his neighbors lawn and thinks, its unfair that my lawn is messy.
He calls his congressman and complains. Congressman proposes bill to cure this horrible unfairness. That evil guy who was born with a silver lawnmower in his mouth...its unfair!!
Law is passed. Guy with nice lawn cannot keep it up because his taxes went sky high and cannot afford it and the other neighbor's lawn, mowed by highly paud government workers, does not look any better.

Its pretty bad when the President can release thousands of convicted violent criminals back on the street and then call for more gun control out of the other side of his mouth. Meanwhile, back in pansy land...the republicans stand idly by and let them run rough shod over everything we hold dear. There are so many examples of how Washington DC and nearly every politician there has and is participating in the ruination of our country.
Awesomeness with the defeat of Cantor! This is very significant as Cantor is among what I term the Top Echelon of Misrulers.
Wow I am actually quite enthusiastic, perhaps there is a real chance to save America from the severe misrule of the Republican and Democrat Elite Old Guard after all.
Just need to oust McConnell (R), Reid (D), and Pelosi (D) next and we might very well have a chance at salvaging the nation from the past 14 years of severe Partyist misrule.

Lol pretty much my thooughts exactly. After all in 2012 Primary every single GOP candidate said " I am the Tea Party Candidate" lol.
Of course the Tea Party movement to get grassroots support may have just backfired on the Republican Old Guard as they are now ousting their top leaders. However I perceive this as a good thing. So sick of these dinosaur Republicans destroying the Nation. If we don't vote them out they will think we actually condone their misrule and misrule us even more. Now if we could get a little intra-Party coups in the Democrat Party to sweep their terrible leaders away that be pretty awesome.
