Plausible deniability?

Hey, that's how I go through life!

Perhaps it is, maybe it's not.

Clearly you're not going to spill it.

Are you guys going to make me do something crazy to keep this thread alive? I haven't thought out what that's going to be, but it will be crazy. Probably something involving like... I don't know... soup.

Why isn't Ugly's lady friend like... front page news on the singles forum?

I listed my crushes a while back--they occurred years ago and at different times. Neither member is still here and just stopped all communication.

There have been times I've been drawn to someone but then I'll read about some of the other great gals on the forum and think, "Hmm... she seems to have a lot more in common with him... I honestly think she'd make a much better match..." and so I just keep it to myself.

There have also been so many debates here about who should or shouldn't pursue that I always wonder if some of the guys here would be offended if a gal made the first move, so again, I just sit in silence!

You should just put on your cowgirl boots, get on your horse and round 'em up. ;)

I know I am reopening a debatable topic here. If you like a guy, it is okay if you drop some hints that you like him. Thereafter, it is up to him to pursue you. In the guy's defense, how was he to know that you liked him?

I used to think that too... after reading some of the opinions here over the years, I wonder though if many Christian guys would see that as an offense to their opportunity for a "Godly pursuit". *shrugs*

No worries, Roh :). I'm not exactly someone who can hold things in ;) so eventually, if I had a major CC crush I was super serious about, I'm sure I'd drop some sort of hint. You know, in the form of a 14-page rant explaining exactly how I'd developed all these feelings for him and another 8 pages spelling out why and by the time he'd read the first page, I'm sure the poor guy would be comatose anyway.

Men seem to like women who have a little bit less to say. :D

You're being modest. It would easily be 20-25 pages.

Honestly, though, I have often confessed my interest in crushes here, and I've had a few over the years express such in me. They're all great women, and I'm glad to know or have known them. For different reasons, though, it seems that I have not found or been the right pairing for a lovely lady out there somewhere.

You aren't the only one who would be prone to doing this. And such a well thought out letter would also have a schedule for progression of the relationship as well, right?

A most excellent idea, Cinder!! After all, I'd have to show him what a well-organized, capable and responsible gal I am.

I'm thinking it might go something like this:

"Dear Crush,

In order to help move along our developing relationship (that you are about to read about in the following dissertation, er, letter), I would like to humbly suggest that you approach our blossoming love (which I realize you know nothing about, yet) with the following plan:

1. Read novel (aka, love letter.) No skimming!!! It is pertinent to the development and engagement (did you just mention wanting to get engaged???) of our feelings that you read EVERY word!!! (Please.)

2. Please be sure to thoroughly study the appendix, bibliography, and intervention, I mean, introduction.

2. Don't die. Whether it be from laughter, boredom, or long-suffering, please survive reading about my affections for you.

Because if you did... that would greatly inhibit the progress of our relationship. Thank you.

P.S. Be sure to write me back!!!"

hang on... does that include the 10 page preface that details the history of all crushes previous to this one, and how they turned out? : )

I *heart* having my very own peanut gallery!!!! :D:D:D

I'm going to have to start calling you two "Skippy" and "Jiffy"...

P.S. Hoss: My original estimate was 14 + 8 pages... so I was right in the middle of your guesstimate. :) What can I say, I know myself. :D
