Text to an ex...

As frustrating as it is, sometimes we don't get closure from relationships, where everyone has a chance to vent and settle all feelings and tuck them away in a gift wrapped box. Perhaps that's part of the wisdom behind guarding our hearts. I don't know how productive it is to go over what "could have" been with an ex (alluding to future wedding day gifts and such) unless you are prepared and have intentions to follow through.
 
My intention was to not do everything over text... I personally hate people who do that, but at this point im done

Then, not to be harsh, but I guess this is your answer.

I understand you don't want to do everything over text, but sometimes, things don't get closure and it's hard but we must do something to bring us our own closure. You can't control other people's actions. To be honest, I'm not surprised she bailed. I think many of us were trying to communicate with you that she doesn't care. I just think you're in a time of your life where you want her to care, and so there's this thing in you that's pushing for another conversation because a part of you wants to be in her life.

Which makes me sad, honestly, because it shows me something in you is hurting and needs validation from anyone you can have a friendship with. Like I said before, you must know your value first in order to know how to be treated like you are valuable. I don't' have anyone like that in my life simply because my value is more important to me than relationships that treat me terrible. All my friends are friend's that are not toxic, but uplifting and who challenge me.

I hope things work out for you!

Sorry, brother. It really, really hurts when relationships go south. Took me a long time to get over my ex (possibly because she was my first ever girlfriend). I pray that you heal much more quickly.

She isnt the first, but she was the first i wanted a future with... Sorry about your heart break boss...
 
emotions and deep convos are not well suited for texts. Best done in person, but sometimes it is difficult to say what you feel when you are looking at someone.

Maybe a letter would be better - shocking - yes a letter.

PLUS - you are SOOOO young. Take time to learn and you'll get better in relationships. You are a better person because you are trying to be honest, open and authentic.

Heck, I am 53 and still learning!!!

Sigh. I feel for you bruh. Break ups are evil.

It sounds like this kind of closure might do you well, but will be a very painful process for both of you. You can take some time off away from her, and let your heart heal and mind clear first, before attempting closure again. At least, that's how it was for me and my ex. The fire was too hot we'd burn each other when we talked. After like 5 months or so, things cooled down a bit.
 
Idk what im doing... I started hanging out with her this week again... I just feel so broken...
I know everyone says just wait your young, but its not like that i honestly cared for this girl..........
If i dont text her, we dont talk... idk...
And its not like i dont have friends or family... I just... idk...

I feel broken........ I... I dont feel like this about any of my other ex's... I only miss her... idk why...
 
The reason why im talking to you guys is to prevent any real life drama..........
I.... I dont want to say anything to my friends because it could get back to her and hurt her or me...
I dont want to involve my family in case it ends up working out....
Idk....

As has been stated by others, the swearing was unnecessary. Would I send that kind of text? No. Does that mean it is wrong to tell her those things? That's between you and God, buddy. By looking back you are either (1) looking for condemnation or (2) looking for commendation...you don't need either one from us. If God has put thoughts of this text on your heart, ask HIM what HE thought of it (His answers are most often found in His Word, the Bible) and go from there. If He shows you that you did wrong, confess and move on, you cannot change the past.
 
Dont follow your heart, because your heart can be deceived. You have to lead your heart.
