Sanctified by His Death !3

Now the word Sanctified in Heb 10:10 is also in the Perfect Tense, this Sanctification is a once and for all completed act from the past with ramification that effects the present and future, which means that none of those Christ died for can ever come under the guilt and condemnation of sin Rom 8:33-34, so they could never be of those who shall eventually die in their sins Jn 8:24, nor come into condemnation Jn 5:24

24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

If Christ died for their sins, they can never come into condemnation for anything ! If they do, that would be a serious indictment against the accomplishment of Christ's Sanctifying death for them ! 43

He gives us an Understanding !

1 Jn 5:20

20And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

The wise Solomon once wrote by the Spirit of God Prov 4:7

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Christ, if He came and died for us, He is Our Wisdom, for it is written 1 Cor 1:24,30

24But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

God gave Christ to all for whom He was delivered up for, and with Him He freely gives us all things, which would include an Understanding Rom 8:32

32He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him[Christ/Wisdom] up for us all, how shall he not with him[Christ/Wisdom] also freely give us all things?

Understanding comes with Him and He gives it to them He died for 1 Jn 5:20

20 And we know that the Son of God[Christ/Wisdom of God] is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

The only condition of Him giving us an Understanding was that He has come ! The giving an understanding is the direct result of His Coming, they are cause and effect related !

Its the word dianoia and it also means mind as it does here Heb 8:10

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, G1271 and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

Heb 10:16

This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds G1271 will I write them;

It means:

with a good significance, the faculty renewed by the Holy Spirit,

Christ came in answer to a Covenant Engagement, for He was given a Covenant of the People Isa 42:6

6I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

So that's why we have Heb 8:10;10:16 understanding minds !

The understanding is give writes John in 1 Jn 5:20 so that we may Know Him that is True

Which again is Promised in the Covenant that they shall all know Him Heb 8:10-11

10For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

This corresponds with both 1 Jn 5:20 and Jn 17:3

3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

So that knowing given by giving an Understanding as a result of Christ's Coming is experiencing vital Eternal Life

So we must all for whom He came and died must experience vital Eternal Life, or His whole Purpose for Coming is thwarted !

Before Christ gives us an Understanding, the one we have by nature is darkened Eph 4:18

Having the understanding G1271 darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart 44

Holy and Unblameable and Unreproveable in his sight

Col 1:22

22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

Who does this apply to ? Some may immediately say that it belongs to belivers ! Yet does it apply only to believers ? No, not at the time Paul wrote it. It does apply to any sinner that Christ died for, believers or not, though eventually they shall believe ! But nevertheless its not conditioned upon believing, but solely "through death" His Death, the Lord Jesus Christ's death, on the body of His flesh, which comprehends the entirety of His Person and Work, His Obedience unto the death of the Cross Phil 2:8

8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Everyone Christ died for before they believe a thing, even while being enemies, alienated and enemies in their minds by wicked works, they are through death [His Death] Holy, and unblameable and unreproveable in his[Gods] sight !

This is the Truth God given Faith believes and Trusts in !

Now the reason why this is True of even unbelievers that Christ died for is because, Christ is their Holiness before God and not anything they do, He is their Righteousness before God, He represents them in His Holiness and Righteousness before God Heb 9:24

For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for[in behalf of] us:

So those He appears before God in behalf are made Holy and Righteous in Gods sight.

Also they are unblameable and unreproveable because the great cause of censure and blame can never be charged to them by God, which is sin, for God for Christ's sake cannot and will not lay any charge or blame of sin unto them, simply because all was laid to Him on their behalf. In Ps 40:12 a Messianic Psalm we see somewhat of the sins/ iniquities of His People being charged to Him as their Surety Ps 40:12

For innumerable evils have compassed me about: my iniquities have taken hold on me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of my head: therefore my heart fails me.

John Gill writes on this verse:

For innumerable evils have compassed me about,.... Like floods of water all around him; see Psalm 18:4; these are the evils of punishment inflicted on him, as the surety and Saviour of his people; such as the sorrows and griefs he bore all his days; the cruel mockings and scourges he endured; his being buffeted and spit upon; his head crowned with thorns, and his hands and feet pierced with nails; insulted by men and devils; crucified between two thieves, and so died the shameful and painful death of the cross;

mine iniquities have taken hold upon me; not any committed by him; he was conceived, born, and lived without sin, knew none, nor did he any; but the sins of his people, which were imputed to him, laid upon him, and which he voluntarily took and bore; and which he reckoned as his own and was responsible for them; these, when he hung upon the cross, came upon him from all quarters, and he bore them in his own body upon the tree;
so that I am not able to look up; or "cannot see" (p); either the end of these iniquities, they being so numerous, as is after related; or he could not bear to look upon them, they were so filthy and nauseous, and he so pure and holy; or he could not behold his Father's countenance, which these sins that were upon him separated him from, and caused to be hid from him; or, like one pressed down with the guilt of sin, as the poor publican was, could not so much as lift up his eyes to heaven, Luke 18:13; they are more than the hairs of mine head; as they must needs be, since they were the iniquities of all the elect of God, of the whole general assembly and church of the firstborn, written in heaven, Isaiah 53:6;

Never to be charged upon any again Jer 50:20

In those days, and in that time, said the LORD, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I reserve.

Since Christ's Suretyship did such a Perfect and Complete Job, God sees all His People in Him as Holy, Unblameable and Unreprovable ! Even when they are in themselves in a state of rebellion, enmity and unbelief ! That cannot affect Christ's Work in their behalf ! 44

its crystal clear that the ones Christ died for were sanctified by it forever. Heb 10:`10

10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
read the verse in context brightfame52.

Hebrews 10:

1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.

According to the context, the comers spoken of in Heb 10:1 ... also known as the worshippers according to Heb 10:2 ... are the ones who are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once

Hebrews 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once [for all].

the words "for all" do not appear in the text.

Sanctification is founded on the one offering of Jesus, not on our own offerings or sacrifices. Hebrews 10:10 contrasts the sufficiency of the one sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ against the insufficiency of the sacrifices under the Old Covenant (see Heb 10:1-4).

Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

the "them that are sanctified" are the "comers" spoken of in vs 1 and the "worshippers" spoken of in vs 2. By the one offering, the Lord Jesus Christ has done all that was required ... there is no need of any further offering (vs 10) ...

Hebrews 10:

15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,

16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

The one-time offering of the Lord Jesus Christ is sufficient for the remission of all the sins of all mankind. There is no other offering for the remission of sin. The "comers" (vs 1) and the "worshippers" (vs 2) are the "them that are sanctified" (vs 14) ... these are the partakers of the covenant (vs 16) whose sins and inquiries are remembered no more ... they are remitted. There is no other offering for sin (vs 18).

In the above statement, you jump from Hebrews 10:10 to Romans 8:33-34 to John 8:24 to John 5:24 ... without ever considering the context within which the Author of Scripture has placed those verses.

And let's just take a look at John 5:24:

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

It is not enough to hear God's Word ... those who believe have everlasting life.

The offering of the Lord Jesus Christ is sufficient to cover all the sins of all mankind ... all descendants of Adam. As shown in John 5:24, those who believe pass from death unto life.

In John 3:16-18 we read:

John 3:

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Those who do not believe will be condemned ... not because there was any deficiency in "the accomplishment of Christ's Sanctifying death for them !" ... but because they did not believe in Him.

The Lord Jesus Christ is the only way ... there is no other way.

More opposing the Truth, with Christ dying for us, them He died for shall be given a spiritual understanding. Thats another benefit of His death, so that means the ones He died for will be given the Gift of Faith Heb 11:3

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Please explain how Jesus dying for the whole world versus Jesus only dying for a few is "opposition to the accomplishments of the death of Christ.

All of mankind was condemned through one man. Adam.

But the Lord Jesus Christ was only 20%-50% percent successful?

Thats exactly what I have been explaining. Christs Death is Saving, it saves them He died for. So if one is never saved, then duh, Christ didnt die for them.

Quite the contrary, sir. He reconciled the whole world to Himself. He died for all sin.

God condemned the whole world through one mans sin, And through one man He reconciled the world to Himself.

It's a blessing in disguise that ALL men are condemned. He made ALL men savable.Since ALL sin is paid for, all men have the opportunity for salvation through faith alone in Christ alone.

Salvation is equal opportunity, equal privilege for ALL. Acts 16:31. John 3:16

I pray that one day you will stand in AWE of this miraculous Truth. He manifested more love, justice, grace and mercy than we can imagine. And to put Him on a scale of only dying for a select few, diminishes His Glory.

God bless.

The Lord Jesus Christ died for the whole world ... all descendants of Adam ... you know the verses because I have submitted them over and over and over. Because you refuse to acknowledge the context in which the Author of Scripture has placed verses, you manipulate the text to infer something never intended by the Author.

The context tells us the "we" in Hebrews 10:10 refers to the comers of Hebrews 10:1 and the worshippers of Hebrews 10:2.

However, the point of Hebrews 10:10 is not the comers nor is it the worshippers ... the point of Hebrews 10:10 is the sanctification through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once. The words "for all" do not appear in the text.

The point of Hebrews 10:10 is that the one sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ is sufficient ... there is no other sacrifice needed.

Hebrews 10:10 contrasts the sufficiency of the one sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ under the new covenant with the insufficiency of the many sacrifices under the old covenant ... the sacrifices which had to be made over and over and over ... and which could never take away sin:

Hebrews 10:

1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.

3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.

4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

The offerings and sacrifices under the old covenant which could never take away sins were foreshadows of the one sacrifice under the new covenant which is sufficient to take away the sins of the whole world ... all descendants of Adam.

However, only the sins of the comers ... the worshippers ... are taken away.

The sins of those who refuse to come are not taken away ... not because the offering was insufficient, but because that is the one and only offering which can take away sins. There is no other way.

Quit manipulating the text ... just believe what is written.

Scripture is quite clear that the Lord Jesus Christ died for the whole world ... all descendants of Adam:

John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

the ones He died for will be given the Gift of Faith Heb 11:3
Hebrews 11:3 does not state anything about anyone being "given the Gift of Faith":

Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Faith is inherent in all mankind ... all descendants of Adam have faith.

Just as God gave all mankind an intellect with which to think, God gave to all mankind faith with which to believe.

The issue is not "do you have faith".

The issue is "in Whom do you place your faith".

If we place our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ ... in God and His promises ... we receive the blessings He has promised.

If we place our faith in anything or anyone other than the Lord Jesus Christ ... we receive the consequence of rejecting Him.

Paul Thanks God for hearing about their Faith since Paul knows it was given to them by God
scripture reference for your claim as stated above.

According to these verses in Colossians 1, Paul was thankful for:

4 the love which ye have to all the saints

5 the hope which is laid up for you in heaven

6 and bringeth forth fruit

that was what Paul states he was thankful for ... the love of the believers ... the hope of the believers ... the fruit of the believers.

please provide chapter and verse for your claim that Paul "knows it ["Faith"] was given to them by God"

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

God bless.
Oh No, you promoting a false gospel and christ friend, If the Jesus Christ of scripture died for ones sins, its impossible for that one to die in their sins. If a person dies in their sins in unbelief, its because God didn't love them, He never chose them in Christ before the foundation, and Christ never shed one drop of His Redeeming Precious Blood for them

The Lord Jesus Christ died for the whole world ... all descendants of Adam ... you know the verses because I have submitted them over and over and over. The fact that you have to manipulate the text in your futile attempt to align Scripture to your dogma is indicative of your unbelief. Time for a check up from the neck up for you, brightfame52.

Those for whom Christ died have been by His Death been Sanctified Heb 10:10

10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Sanctified here is in perfect tense, its a completed once and for all accomplishment

Definition of "Perfect"
In Greek corresponds to the perfect tense in English, and describes an action which is viewed as having been completed in the past, once and for all, not needing to be repeated. Jesus' last cry from the cross, TETELESTAI ("It is finished!") is a good example of the perfect tense used in this sense, namely "It [the atonement] has been accomplished, completely, once and for all time."

Now is all mankind sanctified ? NO so He could not have died for all mankind, lest you attack the sanctifying virtue of Christs death. If you do that, you in big trouble

Again, Paul thanked God for their faith because it comes from God. Col 1:3-4

3 We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,

4 Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus,
