Matthew 8:28
28 When He had come to the other side, to the region of the Gadarenes,e Other mss read Gergesenes two demon-possessed men met Him as they came out of the tombs. They were so violent that no one could pass that way.
Gadarene. Gadara was the capital of Peraea (Josephus, b. j. 4, 7,
3), situated opposite the southern extremity of the Lake of Gennesaret to the
southeast, but at some distance from the lake on the banks of the river Hieromax
(Pliny, h. n. 5, 16), 60 stadia from the city
Tiberias (Josephus, Vita65), inhabited chiefly
by Gentiles (Josephus, Antiquities 17, 11, 4);

Us gentiles would have been unclean pig farmers/eaters.
???? Jesus went back later and preached in these cities:
Mark 5
[h=3][/h] [SUP]20 [/SUP]And he departed and began to
proclaim in Decapolis all that Jesus had done for him; and all marveled.
Mark 7
[SUP]31 [/SUP]Again, departing from the region of Tyre and Sidon, He came through the midst of the region of
Decapolis to the Sea of Galilee. [SUP]32 [/SUP]Then they brought to Him one who was deaf and had an impediment in his speech, and they begged Him to put His hand on him. [SUP]33 [/SUP]And He took him aside from the multitude, and put His fingers in his ears, and He spat and touched his tongue. [SUP]34 [/SUP]Then, looking up to heaven, He sighed, and said to him, “Ephphatha,” that is, “Be opened.”
[SUP]35 [/SUP]Immediately his ears were opened, and the impediment of his tongue was loosed, and he spoke plainly. [SUP]36 [/SUP]Then He commanded them that they should tell no one; but the more He commanded them, the more widely they proclaimed
it. [SUP]37 [/SUP]And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, “He has done all things well. He makes both the deaf to hear and the mute to speak.”
Matthew 4:25 Great multitudes followed Him—from Galilee, and
from Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan.
it is quite clear there were followers from Decapolis (ten cities) where the demon possessed man with the Legions of demons that were cast into the swine lived.
