In this forum, if someone is denying the deity of Christ, they could be kicked.

Now, if someone really believes the Trinity, then they would also believe in the Holy Spirit being fully God.

So what is your barrier to believing the Holy Spirit is God?

How could there be a barrier when God is Holy Spirit. Just as God is Jesus Christ.

And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. 7For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

God,the Father,is the Holy Spirit that is the Word from the beginning. And The Word became flesh,Jesus, and dwelt among us.

Isaiah 43:11
I, I am the Lord, and besides me there is no savior.

Colossians 2:2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 3In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

The NT most always, if not always, uses the word God to refer to the father, so based on that the spirit and God are not the same, yet they are one. The father and the spirit are inseparable.

Colossians 2:2

That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 3In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

1. God
2. Father
3. Christ

Who is "God" a reference to in this verse acknowledging the Trinity?

Excellent question! A: God, The Holy Spirit!

eh?

And Amen!

John 14:15-17

“If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.”

The Holy Spirit has been active on earth since Pentecost, saving souls by convicting our hearts of our need for Jesus Christ.

Jesus' words from John 14 v 28 "... the Father is greater than I."

Yeah .. this is the positional difference with the Father when Jesus was in the flesh.

Jesus ascends soon after as one with the Father.

So this is not superior vs inferior..or Jesus not being God..but the subjection in the Trinity.

John 1 v 1 + John 1 v 14a~ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.
:)

Isn't the Holy Spirit God's spirit? Isn't this the same Spirit that dwelt within the Living Word that was made in the flesh, I John 1:1, 14, the son of God, Jesus Christ, that was made in the image of God himself, Gen 1:26? "If you've seen me, you've seen the Father," John 14:9.

Joh 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

Jesus is speaking from His human side that the Father is greater than Him.

Joh 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
Joh 10:30 I and my Father are one.

Jesus is speaking from His human side that the Father and Him are one for Jesus is God manifest in flesh

Joh 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

Jesus is speaking from His human side.

1Ti 6:14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
1Ti 6:15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
1Ti 6:16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

Jesus is God showing a visible manifestation of Himself.

1Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Mat 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

Jesus is God manifest in the flesh being conceived of the Holy Spirit so the Holy Spirit is God.

1Co 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him.

Eph 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Explain why the Bible only attributes the Father as God.

Father- Creator and parent of the saints.

Son- God's visible relationship to the saints and the way He gave salvation.

Holy Spirit- God's invisible relationship to the saints and Him in spiritual activity which the Spirit moved in creation, and Jesus was conceived by the Spirit, and the saints are led of the Spirit.

Rom 1:3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh.

Gal 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law.

One God who is a Holy Spirit and Father is a title and the Son is the man Christ Jesus.
