What good is it if we save America but lose the gospel?

I always knew about Jesus growing up Roman Catholic .
The problem was that I was trying to get to Heaven by good works.
What are good works?
Obedience to the laws
Turning from not keeping those laws
Giving your life to Christ
Loving God and your neighbor as yourself (that's not always easy)
Hoping your good outweighs the bad
Baptism and other sacraments
Trying to do your best

Then there's Grace which is through Faith in Jesus Christ the Savior.
In church I was taught to mix them. However, Ephesians 2 says,

"By grace are you saved through faith, and that, not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast".

"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us."
Titus 3:5

That's when I realized it was by grace. That's the kindness of God expressed to us, even though we don't deserve it. The gift is given at the minute we decide to quit trusting works and trust Jesus instead.

Your video brings up the Mormons a lot too.
Here's a short about that.
Mormons<

I understand your concerns about MAGA that has been the slogan of Republicans to overcome the political corruption. No amount of good works can save.
Not only do I want democrats to get saved, but I want republicans to get saved too. I try to do that here, there and anywhere I go. It won't do any good to be a Republican and see America free if you go to hell at the end of this short time we have.

The good that I see coming from the assassination is that perhaps people are more open to hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The fact of the fragility of life is before them as is their own destiny. I never heard anyone say that Charlie Kirk was the Savior. His death did bring to many more some of the times he said Jesus is Savior.
I've had the same platform as he used. I preached the gospel to students at the campus of WVU.
The crowd was very receptive and I saw students get saved.
If I were provided the funds to allow me to preach to the Mormons at Utah I would go and preach. That doesn't make me ecumenical or accepting their false prophet's teaching.
I'm trying to get Mormons saved here. I'm going to guess that Mr Kirk did that. I think I remember him explaining the gospel.

What do you think the way of salvation is?

There is definitely something weird or maybe even bad going on with TPUSA; but I don't think it's a credible danger at this time. There is plenty of infighting on the right; more than some would like to admit.

I will admit that the TPUSA "faith" page does look like it has an almost ecumenical message- and maybe they need to reconsider this particular statement. Semantics can make things confusing; and when they do their word-smithing; I think they need to hammer out specifically what they are aiming to do with no ambiguity.

https://tpusafaith.com/
TPUSA Faith exists to unite the Church around primary doctrine and to eliminate wokeism from the the American pulpit.
I think what they mean is that they want to get people away from off-brand Christianity that promotes feminism/LGBT etc.

As a political organization; what they should want to do is Unite Americans within a framework of acceptable political doctrines derived from biblical principles.

One thing Charlie Kirk Used to say is that he didn't believe in separation of Church and State... well, again- semantics. Because people don't seem to agree on what the doctrine of separation of Church and state even is. I don't think he meant the US should have a church controlled by the state; and I would hope he didn't mean the Church should be using the coercive power of government to spread the gospel message... now, if I'm wrong, then there is probably a serious problem with this organization.

Kirk's main problem was he was neither exclusively religious nor exclusively political; he was both. He helped build the monster that we know today as political religion. It didn't originate with him, but he was certainly a driving force in it.

I'm sure that's a problem for some people; and almost definitely what got him killed... but I think he's fine with that.

Would you care to define this "political religion" term? Are you saying that civic-engagement somehow cancels out someone's religion and becomes a religion of it's own?

Your main problem is that instead of even trying to venture at the border of your ideology to see what your neighbors are doing, you can't for some reason and you're always stuck on the Left.

Political religion may also be referred to as Christian Nationalism. With this in mind, think hard on what Jesus teaches us about our Faith.

No, it doesn't automatically cancel it out; but it can take over a person's life and become like a religion to them. If a person wants to be engaged in civics, great; but when the measure of a person's faith is dependent on their politics, you know there's a problem.

Part of the problem is the generalization of groups. Not all but many in the Republican party think that all Democrats are heathens and don't believe in God. This is really wrong as there are many God fearing Democrats who do love the Lord. Just because someone might be listed as a Democrat does not mean they are all pro abortion.

My problem is that if the Republicans are so in line with God, how can they be o.k. with taking programs away from people in need? 2026 a lot of people will lose healthcare, food programs and aid programs that help poor people around the world have been dismantled. Really how can you be o.k. with that?

Prosperity gospels and political gospels are just plain wrong. If the gospel isn't about Jesus and his sacrifice for all of us to be saved then it is a wrong gospel. If you can't be empathetic and have feelings for those less fortunate that we are and want to do something to help them then that is wrong too. Our world isn't about the rich and how to continue to be greedy.

Jesus told us to be good to people and treat them the way you want to be treated. Brighten the corner where you are and help when it is needed. Point people to Jesus/God and what he has and can do for them.

Democrats for Life is just a way to convert pro-lifers into socialism.

Democrat rule did not do anything for the poor. Social program benefits for the poor were offset by increased prices; and the middle class shrank as well. Aid for the poor in foreign countries just enables those nations to spend more money on weapons and technology that enables totalitarian control. There is a huge difference between saying you want to help the poor while throwing them chump change, and actually helping the poor.

Those fingers have very sharp points. Give without asking why! Do not sound the shofar while doing it.

It's fairly easy to spot political religion: It has the two horns like a lamb and speaks like a dragon.

What do you think the way of salvation is?
In Psalms 119:29-30, he wanted to put false ways far from him, for God to be gracious to him by teaching him to obey his law, and he chose the way of faith by setting it before him, and he chose the way of faith by setting it before him, so this has always been the one and only way of salvation by grace through faith.

In Ephesians 2:8-10, we are new creations in Christ to do good works, so while Paul denied that we can earn our salvation as the result of our works lest anyone should boast, God graciously making us into a doer of good works is nevertheless central part of His gift of salvation.

In Titus 2:11-13, our salvation is described as being trained by grace to do what is godly, righteous, and good, and to renounce doing what is ungodly, so doing those works has absolutely nothing to do with trying to earn our salvation as the result but rather God graciously teaching us to be a doer of those works is part of His gift of salvation.

God is trustworthy, therefore His instructions are also trustworthy (Psalms 19:7), so the way to trust in God is by obediently trusting in His instructions and it is contradictory to think that we should have faith in God for salvation instead of having faith in His instructions or to think that we should have faith in God's Word made flesh instead of faith in God's Word.

Jeremiah 29:7

Moses wrote an entire book of the Bible on how to set up a government. The Book of Deuteronomy.
The Bible, among other things , is an explicitly political text.

Jesus did not come to abolish the law and the prophets,he came to fulfill the law.
All the law and the prophets hang on two laws, Leviticus 19 and Deuteronomy 3 through 5.

1 Timothy, pray for your leaders.
Upon this rock I shall build my ecclesia. That's not the word for church. It was a secular word for, government structure.
The Greek, "ella utheria isonomia".
