The football is boring thread....

Not trying to be nice...tired of these race baiters that keep stirring up hate between blacks and whites ...like Jesse Jackson and Cam Newton ..folks need to start calling these race baiters out.
 
I like high school and collage football. Great way to pass a Friday night or Saturday afternoon.
Each year each team is different with different kids learning to work as a team.
I don't like the NFL. Its all about money and inflated egos.
 
Do what you will. Not my problem I guess. I've made enough enemies here today already.
 
Thankfully, I have food to cook today, so I'll miss out on most of the game. Hopefully there are some amusing commercials today though.

Speaking of which...I smell my chicken wings baking in the oven. Best go check them.

I love watching football, but to me until they get somebody in charge that can force some accountability then the game will always be suspect to me.

For instance the two teams in the Super Bowl, one has been caught cheating in the past in big games and gotten off the hook (Denver). The other lost respect with me in the NFC championship game when they were leading 41 to 15 and went for a two point conversion.

That is just a egotistical jerk attitude to do that !!!

Plus if Denver wins then the game was rigged, because Denver is nowhere good as their season record says.

The Chiefs beat them once and would have beat them twice if Jamal Charles wouldn't have fumbled the ball when he got injured in the first game !!!

Until the officials start getting fined and/or suspended things won't change either !!!

The Broncos defense was too tough for the Panthers! I really expected the Panthers to do better than that. They blew it!
 
I'm Canadian, so I like hockey. Actually, two of my boys played up to Tier 2 pro hockey, so they got me interested.

My dad played Canadian football for 9 years and won 3 Grey Cup Rings. We had a national competition long before the Super Bowl. I think the Grey Cup goes back to the turn of the 19th century and rugby.

As for that game today, I tried to watch it and failed. Too much waiting on clocks ticking. And WAY too long for 2 minutes to click off the clock. I thought maybe the half time show would be interesting, but that lost me after the first line that band played.

I like the title of this thread, because that game really was just boring. Sorry! Don't throw things at me!

Yeah as much as I like the sport its this aspect and the officiating in the game that kinda makes it a joke. Dudes could be drooling and cross eyed after a hit and still get put back on the field. Plus good to moderate running/quarterback play is at the base of entertaining football. Defense can be enjoyable, only if it's your team or if you're watching a team that you don't care for getting stuffed...lol...other than that I can't watch like I used to.

I agree about the Broncos defence. Cam was the Panthers offence all season. Stop Cam and you win.
Panthers had the best quarterback, but Broncos hat the best overall team.
