May I suggest you do a post on your ministry to the homeless? I want to hear about it. This here post is dedicated to you cause you seem sweet as cane sugar. Folks with a heart for the homeless is my THING.

I mentioned what kind of ministry and my go abouts. Yall know how it go: folks always want to throw down the gauntlet with the Christian. At times I reckon they think you bout as dumb as a watermelon.
So Im at work and HERE THEY COME. One asked me: "whats your opinion on dating?" I goes: "nowadays? TRASH." (they laughed) These matches are like sparring to me. I been doing this about as long as a country mile. I done come to the ending that there are only certains that can even RECOGNIZE a spiritual truth, then when they cant, then they turn on you. I paid mind to who was asking. Context is key. These are WORLDLY GIRLS about early 20s. Like I said, I been around like a ceiling fan. I know how these "debates go."
I says: "As for me, I dont see the point in dating outside of the Body of Christ. All the Christian girls on earth, and you chose to date outside. Silly. But, heres YALLS answer. The market on being great is slim cause aint nobody want to be great nomore...MEANING, its funny how EVERYBODY wants to be with a good man/or woman, but aint nobody want to BE one. Turn yourself into what you want to attract."
One of the girls just grinned at me and they all walked away.
Question is, and this could go south...whats everybodies opinion on dating now, and if yall married congrats, and share yalls wisdom with us who aint yet.

Thx for that and all I can say for my ministry is that my heart goes out to the homeless. I usually have something in my car like clothes, food & cash which is part of my tithe $$$. My two churches are doing well so I dedicate a portion for the homeless. Re the last part of your post, that would fit in well in the Single's Forum, I hope you will re-post something like it there. Why I think you write? A member shouted you out in a reply yesterday. Said you was articulate and all. And there go an "outwrite" tag or other to you. Wheres the stuff?! I got needs of reading them. We got common ground- I write too.

Why I think you write? A member shouted you out in a reply yesterday. Said you was articulate and all. And there go an "outwrite" tag or other to you. Wheres the stuff?! I got needs of reading them. We got common ground- I write too.

I'm a bit of an oddball writer.

I don't write stories, devotions, or anything like that.

But all my life I've written letters -- pen and paper, long before the internet -- then email.

And since 2009, I've been writing threads on this forum -- somewhere over 1,100, according to the system tally -- mostly in Singles and Family.

This is why someone here shouted me out.
