The Great Tribulation is not something that is future, but rather something that has been ongoing now for almost two thousand years.

Just a few verses are all we need to see how this works:

Matthew 24:15 - When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand)

The Abomination was the Crucifixion. The desolation is what happened a short while later in 70 AD. That leads us to the next verse:

Matthew 24:21 - For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

The destruction of Jerusalem was the beginning of the Great Tribulation. This is also synonymous with the 'times of the Gentiles'. Once the times of the Gentiles is over, we get to this verse:

Matthew 24:29 - Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

The phrase 'those days' is again referring to the nearly two thousand years since the destruction of Jerusalem. After the Great Tribulation is over, the sun shall be darkened and the moon shall not give her light, etc. In other words, the Rapture is what we are waiting for and after that comes terrible destruction as the Man of Sin is revealed. The Mark of the Beast is of course still future as this is not a Preterist teaching, nor am I a Preterist.

This what I believe "The Great Tribulation is not something that is future, but rather something that has been ongoing now for almost two thousand years." and why...

That's maybe a way to start this. its wrong as I believe but praise GOD.

For many years I believed that the Great Tribulation was a future seven-year period of time. Why? Because that is what I was told to believe. One day I looked for the verse and could not find it. I still haven't found it. Spoiler alert, it doesn't exist.

I'm sorry so many of you have been lied to. It's a difficult Truth to receive. The good news is that you now have a chance to correct your mistakes and finally make some progress.

One of the biggest lies told to Christians is that the later verses of Daniel 11 are 'still future'. The truth is that they are about King Herod and the Massacre of the Innocents, referred to as the 'indignation' in other parts of Daniel.

Let's take a closer look at the final verses of Daniel 11 to see what it reveals:

Daniel 11:44 - But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.

But tidings out of the east…:
The narrative has shifted back to King Herod. This incredible phrase foretells King Herod receiving news from the Three Wise Men from the east about the birth of the Messiah.

...and out of the north...:
This foretells King Herod receiving news from the north, i.e., from Rome that his eldest son and chosen heir, Antipater, just betrayed him. While Antipater was in the north (Rome), Herod discovered a plot at home. Antipater had left a deadly poison in Judea intended to assassinate the aging king. Herod intercepted letters sent from Egypt and Rome, including correspondence from a conspirator named Acme, detailing how Antipater was actively orchestrating the assassination to speed up his inheritance.

...shall trouble him...:
Obviously, the news from the east and north was deeply troubling to King Herod.

...therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy...:
This is the 'indignation' mentioned in Daniel 8:19, 11:30 and 11:36, i.e., the 'massacre of the innocents'.

...and utterly to make away many.:
Many children were murdered due to the rage King Herod felt about this new 'King of the Jews' arriving to take his throne.

And now for the final verse of Daniel 11:

Daniel 11:45 - And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.

And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain...:
The Upper City Palace (The Royal Palace) was Herod's main residential palace, located in the Upper City (today's Armenian Quarter and the Tower of David area). The Temple Area Fortress (The Antonia Fortress) was a massive, luxurious military fortress directly adjacent to it. Herod also built the Herodium: A spectacular palace-fortress built into a cone-shaped mountain in the Judean Desert, overlooking the Dead Sea, and Masada: A breathtaking winter palace isolated on a rock plateau directly above the Dead Sea.

...yet he shall come to his end and none shall help him.:
Biographers of Herod the Great record that he died a painful, agonizing death plagued by severe illness, paranoia, and mental anguish in Jericho/palatial surroundings, with no physician or ally able to save him from his ultimate fate.

There are precious few out there that have seen these interpretations. Have you? If not, why not? How are you able to teach the end times without knowing about this?

Now watch what happens when we go to the next verse in Daniel 12:

Daniel 12:1 - And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

Isn't that interesing?

The context is King Herod and the birth of Jesus. At that time Michael stands up. There would be a time of trouble unlike anything that has ever happened or will happen. Again, the context is almost two thousand years ago.

Look at the corresponding verse:

Matthew 24:21 - For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

That is another smoking gun of many. Daniel 12:1 and Matthew 24:21 are both referring to the same time period that includes the Abomination of Desolation (The Crucifixion) as well as the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD.

The finished work of the Cross ensured that everyone written in the Book of Life would be deleivered.

These verses are about King Herod, not some future 'boogeyman':

Daniel 8:23-25 - And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

The Prince of Princes is Jesus. King Herod tried to have him murdered, remember?

You folks that are criticizing me without any proof have never bothered to double check any of this. You never did your homework. You erred because of it. And now look at the huge mess you made all over the interwebz. It's nothing but chaos out there when it comes to Eschatology. It's a sea of misinformation and disinformation... all because you are too proud to admit you were wrong.

This is what is soon to come:

Matthew 24:37-39 - But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

In other words, while so many of you are waiting for a "future Great Tribulation" that will never come, you will be completely caught off guard and *BAM*... sudden destruction.

You will have no time for any 'last minute repenting'. It will just happen.

It appears some people do not do enough study and research but jump to an interpretation too hastily.

Or they are going by a person that has an improper foundation which affects many scriptures to become false as they try to fit it in to that improper foundation.

Like a monkey trying to fit a square peg in to a round hole but even a monkey can learn to do it right.

Jesus said that He shortened the days of the tribulation for if not then no flesh would be saved which it will be seriously intense.

And it will be great tribulation that has not been seen before and will not be seen again.

So the great tribulation would not be for 2000 years.

A tribulation that intense could only start at the time of technology where the world can communicate with each other uniting the world where the tribulation can be concentrated and not scattered and in a few areas of the world.

How great could the tribulation be in the 1st century.

And the Roman Catholic Church although false was a major influence for years promoting Christianity.

More like they were persecuting the world.

And the KJV came out.

And what about America promoting Christianity and in the nations like a big dog.

How much tribulation do you see now.

Sure there might be persecution but compared to the amount of people claiming Christianity it is small.

If the great tribulation started in the 1st century would it not seem at this point with technology that it would be a blood bath out there.

America is quite sinful, allows all religions to be practiced including Satanism and the occult, and Christianity still thrives there.

Did they not get the memo that it is the great tribulation going on so they better stop playing around and get to persecuting.

The great tribulation is in the future when the nations come together to work for peace and stop the preaching of the truth.

The great tribulation starts when it is on a worldwide scale not the little area in the first century.

The strongest challenge to your position is not technology, America, or the Roman Catholic Church.
It is the actual wording of the Olivet Discourse.

Jesus told His disciples:
"When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation... stand in the holy place" (Matt. 24:15).
"Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains" (Matt. 24:16).
"Pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day" (Matt. 24:20).

Those instructions are remarkably local and specific.
The immediate audience is told what they should do when they see these things.

Likewise, Jesus repeatedly says:
"This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled" (Matt. 24:34).

That verse has been one of the strongest arguments raised by those who place at least a significant portion of the tribulation in the first-century context.

Another difficult text for the futurist position is: "The time is at hand" (Rev. 1:3),
and: "Behold, I come quickly" (Rev. 22:7).
Those passages force us to explain why events described as near to the original audience would be postponed for thousands of years.

Now, none of this automatically proves a full preterist view.
But if we are going to argue for a future worldwide tribulation, we must deal with these texts directly rather than assuming technology, globalization, or modern geopolitics are the decisive factors.
The strongest arguments in the debate come from Scripture itself, and these are among the passages that any futurist interpretation must carefully explain.

The Great Tribulation is not something that is future, but rather something that has been ongoing now for almost two thousand years.
Rev 6:8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

I do not think a fourth of the people on earth have died all at once before.

Interesting that all the points you make go directly to the 7 year Great Tribulation. Mat. 24:21 should be sufficient to come to that conclusion. Immediately after the rapture and the Holy Ghost is removed, the daily sacrifices begin. They already have everything to do this. Then when Satan, who I believe is the abomination of desolation, is cast to the earth mid week, he will end the daily sacrifices and put his throne in the holy place.

It is my opinion that the Rapture and the Day of the Lord happens simultaneously and unexpectedly:

1 Thessalonians 5:2-4 - For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

Those who believe everything is fine because some imaginary 'seven year' or 'three and a half year' period of time has not begun will be in for a rude awakening if they are not saved.

Your claim that the Great Tribulation was fulfilled in AD 70 does not fit the full testimony of Scripture. Yes, Jesus foretold the destruction of Jerusalem, but He also spoke of His return in glory, the gathering of His elect, and events that accompany the Day of the Lord. We must read everything He said, not just the parts that fit one interpretation.

Jesus said: “For then shall be great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever shall be.” (Matthew 24:21)

Jesus placed His coming after the tribulation: “But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven… and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” (Matthew 24:29–30) NONE OF THIS DID HAPPEN AS OF YET, did the sun darken? Did the moon not give its light? Did the stars fall from heaven? etc....

Jesus continued:

“And he shall send forth his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds.” (Matthew 24:31)

Did the world witness Jesus returning in glory, every tribe mourning, and His angels gathering His elect in AD 70? No. Jerusalem was destroyed, but these events described by Jesus were not fulfilled in the way He foretold.

Daniel describes a time of trouble unlike anything before it, followed by resurrection : And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered… And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake.” (Daniel 12:1–2)

Notice the order: an unprecedented time of trouble, deliverance, and the resurrection of the dead. The destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70 did not bring about this promised resurrection. The Day of the Lord is connected to heavenly signs and divine judgment. “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of Jehovah cometh.” (Joel 2:31)

Revelation describes the same kind of signs:

“The sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the whole moon became as blood.” (Revelation 6:12)

The sixth seal then describes people facing the great day of God's wrath (Revelation 6:15–17). This connects the Day of the Lord with the final judgment still to come.

Jerusalem's destruction in AD 70 was a real judgment and part of what Jesus foretold. But that absolutely does not prove the start of Great Tribulation, Christ's glorious return, the gathering of His elect, and the promised resurrection were all fulfilled then. The words of Jesus and the prophets must be taken together. We should never force every prophecy into AD 70 when the events described have not all taken place.

Days of Noe.
