There is not a dual covenant people, there is only one.

John Darby lied and so did Cyrus Scofield and along with those who have exhalted this nonsense over the years.

All was fulfilled by the time Jesus arrived for the chosen people and what was stated in the OT, He is and will ever be all that is required, not some secular ethno-state and a rebuilt Temple which is blasphemous against Christ Jesus who is the New Temple.

And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Galatians 3:29

There is one body of Christ, one Church and people whose lineage helped fulfill the covenant need to hear the Gospel today like every other person on the planet and no they are not the group in Romans who were blinded for a time who Paul was writing about.

Darby coined the phrase "rightly divide" how about Dipseys start doing that as Paul meant it and apply correct sound hermeneutics.
It is called audience relevance.

Not true. God's love for Jacob is eternal. And Israel will once again be known as sons of the Living God.

Hos 1:9
Then God said:

“Call his name Lo-Ammi,
For you are not My people,
And I will not be your God.

Hos 1:10
“Yet the number of the children of Israel
Shall be as the sand of the sea,
Which cannot be measured or numbered.
And it shall come to pass
In the place where it was said to them,
‘You are not My people,’
There it shall be said to them,
You are sons of the living God.’

Hos 1:11
Then the children of Judah and the children of Israel
Shall be gathered together,
And appoint for themselves one head;
And they shall come up out of the land,
For great will be the day of Jezreel!

Christ Jesus is Israel

There is a simple way to prove whether or not God is still treating Israel as the apple of His eye. He said those who blessed Israel would be blessed and those who cursed Israel would be cursed.

Since 1948 who has blessed Israel and who has cursed them?

Obviously the US would be the number 1 country to bless them and Egypt, Syria and PLO would be the number 1 groups who have cursed them. Since blessing Israel the US has become the richest and most powerful nation on earth without any wars on our land (though 911 could be seen as a warning shot).

As for Egypt, Syria and the PLO the only way to describe their recent history is "cursed".
This is just another variant of the prosperity gospel and a heresy. If we are to judge correctness of theology by blessings in this life, all of Jesus' discples were wrong given their horrific deaths as martyrs. Even John wasn't very right, given he lived out his days in exile (as God protected him from martyrdom).

Man, that is a seriously ragged and worn out red herring.
It stinks. Toss it into the dumpster where it belongs.

And just so you know, the nation Israel will be redeemed/reconstituted/recommissioned by the New Covenant.
That was the plan all along. And they will serve their God as priests to the gentiles during the millennium.

Wow I never made that connection, so true and how many times can we state TRAGIC!!!

Your one-liner attempt at exegesis is (cough cough) lacking.

Those passages are written to the sons of Jacob and will undoubtedly come to pass. And soon.

"There is not a dual covenant people, there is only one."
Nobody who understands the Bible disputes this. Israel will be God's New Covenant people.
Thats the whole point. In fact they would be irredeemable without the New Covenant.

BTW @Moses_Young , Jew-bashing is not in any way to be considered an exegetical treatment of the text.

That's us - Jewish and Gentile believers in Christ and through Christ. Don't fall for replacement theology.

I'm not aware of any Jew-bashing. Please provide your evidence of this accusation, or else repent your slander.

How about you are so aware of so much on the world stage and sees the bad doctrine and the evil being perpetuated take that final leap and really investigate these men, who they were back in the day and what was their agenda.

It is for you the final frontier and you are sorely needed to work against this heresy of dispensationalism.
And make no mistake it is heresy

It ultimately denies Jesus and elevates a group above Him (not you) but there are some walking about, they have placed group of people who descended from Eastern Europe as some supreme race among us.

Matters not what you say or think. Israel is ACTUALLY in the land per Ezek 37.
They are ACTUALLY surrounded by enemies who would choose to exterminate them per Ezek 38.

They will ACTUALLY build a tribulation Temple. They will ACTUALLY suffer to go thru the great tribulation.

And so on and so forth. This is inevitable.

I guess it depends on what the definition of "this" is? I think I've heard a similar argument before, and it wasn't used by those who were on the side of truth... 'Though this truth probably escapes them! :p

Sound exegetical treatments of the text allows one to see the many 800lbs gorillas in the room.
Evidently habitual Jew-bashing makes these gorillas invisible.

Yeah I used to fight pretty hard too, no they are still God chosen people (Brainwashing 101) and then God stopped those words from coming out of my mouth when I actually saw the words of scripture for what it is actually and clearly states... "there is neither Jew nor Gentile"

“The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.”
Matthew 23

I Pet 2:5,9 says the exact same thing about Christians “ye … are … a spiritual house, an holy priesthood … a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people.

It does not state until the rebuilt Temple.

End of Story!

Interesting.
I just always think what did this mean to the people hearing those words at the time, they certainly would not be thinking 2000+ years in the future, it makes no sense.
Jesus never made that stipulation.

Plus it is directly tied to no stone left UN-turned.

Exactly. It is Satan's nature to ask "Did God really say?", in order to support the lie. (My comparison was to Bill Clinton, trying to redefine the definition of "is" to excuse his lie about stating nothing was going on between he and Monica Lewinsky, but it's a poorer comparison, as "this generation" can really only mean "this generation", to whom Jesus was speaking!)

Have we said anything that is Jew bashing?

I just do not get it. If you are not a fervent Zionist you are a Jew basher.

Isn't this how cultural Marxists think, now Christians have adopted the same monolithic simplistic thought patterns so very TRAGIC (again!)

Just for the record, I need to ask if you are also a hypocrite, CV5? I asked you to post your evidence of my "Jew-bashing". In other threads, you have made a big show with accusations of slander when a statement was made that you didn't like. This is your chance to prove you are as a big a man as you claim to be, by showing you can receive as well as you give. Post your evidence of my "Jew-bashing", else expose yourself as being a liar and a hypocrite (in addition to a slanderer).

Don't beat yourself up over it - I have forgiven you already. But I thought you went overboard on previous occasions when you were the aggrieved, and now I would like to know if you are have the same enthusiasm for justice when you are in the wrong. ;)

Notice they can state the country has sinners, and they will also admit that the nation was started by "evil" wealthy men, but somehow it all okay because this is the way God is closing the real estate deal of the OT.

And yet I have to wonder, you are well studied in the OT, did God bless the chosen people and give them land when they were in rebellion?

I think not, but maybe you know about a situation in the OT where rebellion earned rewards?

There are INNUMERABLE passages that say essentially the same thing.
But like I said......800lbs gorillas.

Rom 9:25
As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.

Rom 11:28
As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.
