Another one;

The heart of a selfless man looks upon a selfless act and has absolute joy. His faith jumps from little to a lot in an instant.

But the heart of a cruel man takes pleasure in the deriding and mocking of others. This man would see a beheading easier than a forgiveness.

"The soil of a man's heart is stonier, Louis. A man grows what he can, and he tends it. 'Cause what you buy, is what you own. And what you own... always comes home to you."

Jud Crandall, Pet Sematary

I haven't read Pet Sematary (yet) but I do find Stephen King's works have real Christian zingers. Especially The Stand.

I think that's kinda cool, Immawildthing. I'm always curious as to what goes on in the minds/hearts of men, so it is interesting to me to sort of eavesdrop on their conversations with one another as they post. :) We learn more from listening than from speaking, huh? :)

I don't know how much they'd actually say.

"REAL men HIDE their feelings." -- Rocco, The Boondock Saints II, All Saints Day.

Sorry Jullianna, just couldn't resist! ;)

What you don't know about the heart of a man...

Well, I suppose to tell you what you don't know, I'd have to understand what you do know.

I can tell that you that just like with the heart's of women, there are generals that span across the sex, but also specific things for each person, personality type, and various distinctions of people.

When it comes to relationships, though the details vary, I'm sure most of the majors are the same. Most people want to love and be loved, regardless of gender or other demographic variables. I honestly think, and have posted many times, that the series "Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage" which Mark Gungor put on in conjunction with Focus on the Family hits the nail on the head. It's not all inclusive by any means, but the general summation of men and women seems pretty accurate.
(A hard thing to do, honestly....generalizing or summarizing with accuracy...)

1 01 Tail of Two Brains 1 - YouTube

I've learned a lot about the hearts of men by reading between the lines in many of their posts in these forums, but I was curious as to how many would be willing to put their mancards on the line by responding. :)

Well, I'm not worried about my man-card, as I'm definitely in no danger of losing it. As the video touched on, however, there are both characteristics at work in me, so I house both the brains and brawn, feminine and masculine types...

That said, I'd be happy to share with you from a personal stand-point, but that will obviously vary for the general.
