Who is studying the Hebrew names of Jesus (Yeshua) and YaHuWaH (LORD)??? DO you believe that there is a difference in the power of God's name if one uses the Hebrew or the Greek translation of His name???
Gods power Is not in a language.
That said:
From what i gather. Jesus, is the english translation, of the Greek way to say Yehushua.
Iesous, is the Greek.
Iesus, is the Latin
Joshua, would be the direct english from the Original Hebrew.
Yehu(o)shuah, would be the Hebrew.
Y'shua, would be Aramaic
Yahshua, is a "modern" Hebrew apoach.
If everyone knew Him only as Yeshua, there would have been no need to write His Name in its other transliterated forms of Greek and Latin on the sign above Him.
John 19:
19 And Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.
20 Then many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and it was written in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin.
If you want to know his TRUE name.
Revelation 19:13
"He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and
the name by which he is called is The Word of God."
Also, another name for Jesus, is this:
"
WONDERFUL. "
"And Manoah arose and went after his wife and came to the man and said to him, “Are you the man who spoke to this woman?” And he said,
“I am.” "Judges 13:11
And the angel of the Lord said to him, “Why do you ask my name, seeing it is
wonderful?” Judges 13:18
And Manoah said to his wife, “We shall surely die,
for we have seen God.” Judges 13:22
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called
Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6
