I was caught in a daydream today. Well, if you could call it that.
I was thinking of a homeless man, not anyone in particular, just someone I had conjured up in my mind.
I began to wonder about his life. Maybe he was young and good-looking at one point. He was the type of guy that went around in high school and charmed people into giving him a dollar there, for a coke, and a dollar here, for a bag of chips. As he got older, he kind of slid by on his looks, friends and families just giving him things, helping him out as he went from one place to another. Then when he grew to be even older, his looks faded little by little, and they didn't see him as that charming little kid anymore. He didn't do very well in high school, didn't consider going to college, because he was given everything he wanted. Never really kept a job either, possibly. Then one day, he was kicked out because he had used everyone up and now he's homeless. The rest is history, I guess.

I don't know why I wanted to share this.

Toodles!

Hmmm, that could often be the case, Maggie Mae. Everyone has a story, and I'm sure that's at least some peoples' background. Even if not many homeless people are in that situation, I know that I've seen a lot of women who skated by on their looks and at first the other women didn't like it, but when they're about 50 or 60, it seems so much better if you know how to do useful things, rather than just mooch off of everyone. Beauty fades, after all, and so do muscles, but the Lord doesn't change. I'm going to keep chasing Him :).

Edit: I noticed your signature, Maggie Mae; perfect verse for my last couple of sentences :)!

Thanks, Maggie Mae :). Yes, Jesus is the only One Who can truly make us happy, peaceful, satisfied and joyful and keep us that way :). Looks fade, but even if they didn't, it's very easy to have a pretty face, yet a miserable heart/soul; I've seen it over and over and over again.

If you don't know what these are, then you're missing out big time.

(Mr. Bill voice) "Ohhhh, no! I'm missing out big time!"

Are they Canadian candies?

I doubt they are candies, because the only candy we have here in Canada are cinnamon-scented Canadian bacon bits and wood bark covered in frozen tree sap!!!

Takes a lot to make me lawl in real life.

And yes, I suppose they are "canadian."
But in Canada, they're just called candies.
