There was a big movement back in the day and many people left the RCC. I was raised in the Pentecostal church and I've been told here I'm demon possessed. So that's why I said I wanted to hear from the horses mouth, so to speak, what Catholics here believe.

in all my time on here, i have been called many things, but i do not think i have ever been told i am demon possessed.

personal story ... I am 1 of 5 kids I have an older sister who growing up i thought she was sinless! Never lied to mom and dad never 'lost the change' One brother would put his hands in the back pockets of his Levis as he walked through the dime store because he was told dont touch . Another, moms "look" and he was crushed. The baby dont count... then there was me, second oldest, i tried every rule ,every suggestion, challenged authority.. I was 13 Dad always left his electric razor pugged in the socket .. wanting to to know what would happen if put it in my mouth i did NOTHING so i made sure i spit on it real good I will never do that again !
How does this story fit this thread? Not every one learns the same way . some of us , like myself , learned best from the switch. 'RA' may be the switch some one reading may need. Another may learn from stated backed up facts . Some will embrace warmth and gentleness . We should mature to get over the hurt feelings, good grief hurt feelings are not the Cross .

I'm sorry, I know I should have gotten so much more from your story, but the electric razor in the mouth got me! lol Oh my soul!! I guess that was certainly one way too learn! You could have gotten electrocuted, I'm glad you're still here!! I do get the rest of your point though. And I enjoy the way you put it across.
If you were in a cult that taught Jesus wasn't perfect and sinless, and you came to know otherwise, would you stay and participate with that group knowing in your heart it wasn't teaching the true Jesus?
I can't say anything about anyone who might not realize that Catholicism teaches a false Jesus; I pray the Lord will open their eyes and ears. But if someone does know and chooses to stay anyway simply because they might lose the respect of their family and friends; or because it's just easier to stay; that person is participating with the rest in their error, regardless of what they believe.

I'm talking about extending the right hand of Christian brotherhood and fellowship to those who profess another Jesus.
I know already this will go over like a lead balloon but hear me out. What do you say about homosexuals who want the full acceptance as brothers and sisters in Christ but don't want to repent of their sin? Is that okay with you? And before anyone even says it I'm not bashing homosexuals; I'm bashing a lifestyle that the Bible states clearly is sinful.
Well there are more false churches then just the catholic church.. So anyone holding false teachings about God should be warned.. In the end RA is either correct or he is wrong about what denominations are not true to the teachings of God..
As for peoples minds.. Well in the end we shall see who changes their minds and who does not..
Hey, now my feelings are hurt. LOL! I agree, we cannot change peoples minds. There are things my own church does that I disagree with, but I know I was placed there for a reason. Me forcing my opinion will not change how things work.I apologize, I do have a few friends at CC.

Agreed. We are not to direct those who are unsaved as though the are. We are to be the salt and light for them. Within the church, you bet. Unfortunately,
To a certain extent, I think you are right. But the Catholic system keeps most lay people very distant from God and their
"access" is virtually only through the priest. And then the priest to pope system in the Catholic Church is very corrupt and very unbiblical. What happens in the end is that most Catholics end up having a very faint and very skewed view of God with no personal relationship with Him.
You are suggesting we PC our approach to God's word. That is not what He wishes.
Remember....hearld your voice.........in support of His word and meaning.
That means ...when we witness for Christ we do it in a meaningful and obvious manner.

I attend a church with people different denominations and we all do pretty well together. Our pastor is Pentecostal, but he doesn't force the issue with people. Most of the people were I believe the Christian church it was called. The pastor didn't believe in having any music. So they voted him out and now our pastor is there. As I said we all are together in one accord. So it is doable, my friend. lol

Pointing out what may be error is one thing, haranguing people is a different thing IMO. Ministered in hundreds of churches that were different denominations from my own and that approach does not work in a real world situation. Many people didn't even know what denomination we were. The message was simple every where we went, Jesus saves. And when people truly take hold of that, then the Holy Spirit will lead them the rest of the way.
In this video the pope says "We must have a theological dialog to seek the roots of disagreement, we must discuss the sacraments, because there are many things about which we still don't agree." Then he says "We have to do it journeying together, along the way."
Notice what he's saying: We must set aside our theological differences and embrace each other. Then, as we journey together as brothers and sisters we can discuss our differences. But there can be no journey and no embracing of a system that teaches a false Jesus and a false Christianity. That's where the pope is lying and leading people astray.
