I find your theological position very interesting. We can tell that you are becoming frustrated, by your comments here.
" ... Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. Acts 26:14 ...

Your promoting of the (UN-) Holy Roman Catholic Church theology, having the spirit of Antichrist, is a very difficult position to maintain in this world of increased knowledge, ie. speed of access to the combined knowledge of the world ( wide web )

“But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.” Dan 12:4

This increase of knowledge and the increase in the speed of access, the internet and using AI tools, has greatly increased my potential, efficiency, and effectiveness for defending the Word of God, my Lord and Savior Jesus, against the "Counter Reformation" of the Catholic Church, primarily by her Antichrist military order, of "disinformation & corruption" the Society of (anti-) Jesus, the Jesuits.

I pray that you "WAKE UP" !! ... smell the roses, and switch sides to the Righteousness of Christ, "because your redemption draws nigh.." Luke 21:27-28 ... Amen !

I am not a member of the Catholic Church.

I don't promote Catholic theology or doctrine.

You misunderstand my posts.

The Textus Receptus versus the Critical Text, the Codices Sinaiticus and Vaticanus, which are the support text for the Roman Church doctrines. ~~> Joshua 24:15

I don't think the Catholics rely on the scripture too much.

They believe they are the original church.

The Catholics rely heavily on their tradition rather than the scripture.

The Council of Trent (1563) is when the Catholic church identified the Vulgate as their scripture.

Interesting that the Vulgate supports the Textus receptus on Revelation 17:16.

The Apostolic Bible Polyglot has "upon". Will have to do more research on this

"The Apostolic Bible Polyglot is primarily based on the Septuagint for the Old Testament and the Complutensian Greek New Testament for the New Testament. It also follows the Codex Vaticanus-Sixtine text family and incorporates variants from the Aldine Bible and the 1709 edition of the Greek Old Testament edited by Lambert Bos."

Ultimately, it matters not which version you side with.

The ten kings handed their power and authority over to the Sea Beast.

The ten kings are only in power for one hour.

The Sea Beast is the big boss of everyone and the Sea Beast makes all the decisions.

Revelation 17:12-13
The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but they receive
authority as kings with the beast for one hour. These have one purpose, and they give their power
and authority to the beast
.

Essentially, the Sea Beast and the ten kings hate the Harlot.

The 1st beast, the 2nd beast and Babylon all exercise the same power, It's possible that the 1st beast hates the whore, but it doesn't make sense at this point why because it supports her.

In other words, the 1st beast is where the whore of Babylon is situated

So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. Revelation 17:3

It may not make sense to a church eschatology but that is what the scripture states.

The 7 heads, 10 horns, and 10 crowns, refers to the composite beast described in the Book of Revelation (chapters 12, 13, and 17), symbolizing various aspects of powerful anti-God empires and authorities throughout history and into the future.

These kings or kingdoms are part of the symbology of Sea Beast.

The woman rides the Sea Beast but is not part of the Sea Beast.

That isn't very sure. Or logical. Lots of presumption and that isn't a very solid foundation.

None of that is correct nor does it address what I said about what is found in scripture. Not very sure? How can scripture not be very sure? You say that because you have a different view of it than what scripture actually says.

The catholic church set up the counter reformation

LOL! That is pure confusion and Adventist propaganda.

Just to offer a view on the Greek word that is transition to English as "mark."

It literally means an "engraving," depicting an etching, or cutting.

Just at a glance, it sure seems to be describing a tattoo.

Various concordances also list it as meaning "a stamp" which is not engraved so there is no definite or exact way the mark might actually appear as.

Regardless if it is an engraving or a stamp, it will be permanent and visible for all to see.

It doesn't say anything about riding a beast. The whore sits atop the beast as well as the 10 horns and many peoples, which can only mean the world system. In other words she sits atop the world's system exercising all of its authority

And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: Revelation 17:1
And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. Revelation 17:15
And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, upon which the woman sitteth. Revelation 17:9

The beast lifts and sustains Babylon the whore, who sits atop the beast, the 10 horns and peoples of the earth

And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. Revelation 17:7

No, it does not say she sits upon the horns of the beast. The horns are higher than she would be sitting me4aning they are above her in authority further proven by the fact that they turn against her showing their true power and authority.

Rev 17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
Rev 17:2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

She is a consort to the kings, who remain as kings so they are above her in all senses. She is only a whore as written.

It says Babylon rules the kings of the world, ie, the 10 horns, which means she exercises all the authority of the first and 2nd beasts.

And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth. Revelation 17:18

If the first beast is an economic-political system, and the 2nd beast is the leader of it, and Babylon is the city from which it rules, then the only way the 10 kings, that hate the tyrannical beast system they were forced to give their authority to, can destroy it is by destroying its headquarters, ie, Babylon

So reckon Washington DC is going to be destroyed at some point?
