:thumbs up:I REALLY was not going to say anything else in this thread, but this is.......well,.
1 Corinthians 2:12
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
Now, is it just me, or does it seem strange that God would make us BEG for the grace he gives FREELY??
Also, I might like to add that I have given Camping a fair hearing, even if no one else here has heard him. I was actually working on an associates degree in Biblical Studies with Family Radio School of the Bible at one point. Even though I saw that the doctrine was not right, even to the point of bordering on anti-semetic, I continued to do the course work. However, God soon told me to get away from these heretic teachings. Their doctrine basically curses Israel, and I realised I could have no part of an organization which curses Israel, which would bring a curse uopn myself.
Genesis 12:2-3
2 I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
I have seen this man do nothing but accuse people and declare condemnation upon them in this thread. However, he obviously picks and chooses snippets of the Bible. He should remember God's people are not called to curse people.
Romans 12:14
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
To those he has attacked, I want you to remind you of the outcome of Baalam's error.
Deuteronomy 23:5
5 Nevertheless the LORD your God would not listen to Balaam, but the LORD your God turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the LORD your God loves you.
I may not agree with many people's take on Scripture, and I will express me beliefs and convictions, but I will not condemn them.
As for BLU, he can worship Camping and declare his message if he wishes, that is his choice. I will worship GOD and and declare His message.
BLC- the word in the original greek is not tongues, that is a misnomer, the word is languages!Here is your initial post on this thread.
Re: The Necessity of Tongues For Prayer Language

1 Corinthians 14:38-40 38 But if anyone is ignorant, let him be ignorant. [a]
39 Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues. 40 Let all things be done decently and in order.
2 Timothy 2:23 23 But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife.
If disputes are foolish and ignorant, what does that say about a man who constantly stirs them up???

If you are referring in your post (above) concerning tongues as a prayer language, so have I. Praying in tongues is mentioned and referred to one third the way through (1Cor 14), that deals with the subject of tongues in (v/13-15). If your conclusion concerning the gift and subject of tongues, as a prayer language and otherwise, is (v/39 & 40) with no examination of the scriptures in this chapter, then you need to do that as a student of God's word and find out what Paul was teaching. It would be ignorant on my part or your part to dispute things we know nothing about or understand, and that would be foolish and gender strife. When we study this subject all the way through (which may take some time) we come to have conclusions and convictions that are balanced and edifying because they are sound and sure in the faith.
you call spiritual gifts that God poured out on His people as poison, Wow!!! you believe only the parts of the Bible you want to believe (2Thes 2:9) [Even him], whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
while the Bible also tell us that
oe 2:28And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:Joe 2:29And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.Joe 2:30And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
but because of your unbelief you will not see these signs except though your eyes as seeing them as evil, because you only want to believe the parts of the Bible as you see it and not as the whole Bible as truth.
Wow!!!, Well I thank you for that. With all the falshood you spread through this board, I no longer have any need to discredit it, you have just discredited yourself in a way I could never.
1 Corinthians 13:1Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
So accourding to you BLU the translation should be though I spoeak with the language of men and of angels ect....... How does this change the truth of the angelic prayer laguange God has fgiven His people?
woohhoo another false accusation,I am loving itIt tells me that you do not have the Love that paul is speaking of!
woohhoo another false accusation,I am loving it![]()
I pray you will soon find repentance and that God will have mercy on your soul..
You are messaging wrongly, I do not worship Camping, I praise him for declaring the truth of the bile which the church cannot do since the church is headed up by Satan. (2Thes 2:4)
I pray you will soon find repentance and that God will have mercy on your soul.
Jesus said this in Matthew 16:18 ''I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.''
Jehovah Tsikenu, excuse me for the typo.
1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
BLU you are a very confusing person.
BLC- the word in the original greek is not tongues, that is a misnomer, the word is languages!
Anyone speak French?
You are messaging wrongly, I do not worship Camping, I praise him for declaring the truth of the bile which the church cannot do since the church is headed up by Satan. (2Thes 2:4) Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
Ok, well, explain how there can be such a high level of confusion comming from your teachings and you expect anyone to believe that its correct.Sorry, about that Sinner. What would it you like for me to clarify?
In this instace, you are correct, but only to a point. The Greek word here is glwssias (glossias), and it does mean languages, i.e. tongues. It is derived from the root glossa(glossa), which is the physical tongue itself. In understanding the word itself, it is a spoken (with the tongue) language. In looking at this in the context of the chapter, we see it is still referring to the subject which Paul initiated in verse 2 of this chapter;
1 Corinthians 14:2 (New King James Version)
2 For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.
It is clear that the language referred to is one that NO ONE understands. It is not a human language. This I why God also has to provide the gift if interpretation. It is not a language one can learn, such as French, which you referred to.
1 Corinthians 12:8-11 (New King James Version)
8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same[a] Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.
Is very easy to listen to a man’s teaching, take a quick glance at it, and accept it as truth because it may, on the surface, appear to be so. It takes work and effort. This is why Paul commended the Brerans. They did not just accept what he said, but rather diligently searched and studied to see if he was correct.
Acts 17:10-11 (New King James Version)
10 Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.
I wonder if you really take the effort to give Camping’s teachings a thourogh examination, or if you just enjoy getting your ears scratched.
