me neither

my parents' computer cant find its own hard drive... I got no clue how to fix that
 
on my own? yes, once I reinstalled windows, another time I installed linux while the other OS was there and got help from a computer guy to backup the files from the other OS, that was cool
 
A tech person on the phone once had erase my hard drive and reinstall the software. I'd be afraid to try it by myself.
 
well, if you backup the data you need first you cant do much wrong, the whole idea is after all to remove everything and then install the new stuff.

Most operative systems even offer to remove the old stuff for you
 
true, I have a feeling I will have to format this machine within half a year, it is acting odd already
 
My computer is from 2007. I suppose it will have to be replaced one of these days. I thought 160 GB was a lot, but it gets used up quickly, especially by new restoration points (which I regularly delete). I still have 105-110 GB available.
 
I kill my computers too fast :S

I have a 500 gig external drive, but I suspect it has a virus on it. Will connect it and scan it once my exams are done and bachelor delivered :p
 
I hate excel, but that's because anything math related makes me want to hide :p
 
I wonder why we bother to write in so many threads when we never keep anywhere near the topic in either of them anywya

or is it an auditory learner?

then you could just give it verbal directions.

however if its kinestic you might have to act out a play showing it how to find the INNER CPU.

feeling goofy... too many teaching terms floating in my head...

If I drew a map it would end up finding the CPU in stead (I can't draw maps)
