The son sits at the right hand of the father. I just realized if someone sits at your right hand, and you are seated on a throne, that means you are seated side by side and of equal stature. Physically side by side.

If your thinking a throne Chair ---I would say not ----this word throne can be used figuratively in Scripture as well as literally ---and I think it is used figuratively when speaking of God's throne ----

What is the throne of God?

The throne of God need not be thought of as a literal throne. God the Father is incorporeal (John 4:24). God has to describe Himself in ways we can understand.
Isaiah sees the Lord “high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple” (Isaiah 6:1). At that time, the prophet was having an inspired vision. God’s throne (and His robe) are not to be taken as literal, physical objects. Rather, God was communicating to Isaiah the magnificence, splendor, and exaltation of His Being. Other descriptions of the throne of God are found in other prophetic visions, e.g., in those of Ezekiel and John.
God’s throne is a place of power and authority. In 2 Chronicles 18:18, the prophet Micaiah relates his vision of God’s throne room, in which spirit beings stand in attendance. Compare this to Job 1:6, where God demands answers from the angelic beings summoned there.
God’s throne is a place of majesty and honor. The Bible says that, when Jesus ascended to heaven, He “sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:2). There is no higher place than heaven. God is the King of heaven, and Jesus holds the place of honor at God’s right hand.

That is my understanding as well. Three separate entities - Father, Son, Holy Spirit- comprising one God.

The throne of a monarch is always on the right side this signifies authority.

It would seem that way. Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high (Heb 1:3), According to other Scriptures, the Father does not share His throne with anyone, even Christ. Therefore Christ has His throne beside that of the Father.
Why not? In Scripture it is very definitely a LITERAL throne, albeit a heavenly throne like none other.
Tricky subject.
Revelation 22:3
And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
You can read this in a way that there is one throne, which belongs to God and to the Lamb, or that there is a throne of the Lamb and of God, making two thrones.
Then you can read Daniel 7 and see that the Ancient of Days (God the Father) sits upon His throne while the Son of Man presents Himself to God. And then read the opening chapters of Ezekiel and see that it is God alone on His throne (which corresponds to Revelation 4 and 5). But no one has the right to spiritualize away things which are shown to be literal. Is there a literal Heaven? Is there a literal New Jerusalem? Is there a literal throne of grace in Heaven?
There is a literal throne in heaven, there is a literal new Jerusalem. I will check the verses. So its one throne, upon which the Father sits.
Correct but not physically. The Son of Man sits on the right hand of the Father. These are not 2 separate entities as the false doctrine of the trinity will have you believe.
Mark 14:62
62 And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
Jesus, the Son of man, is who everyone will see at the end of the world in His (son of man) Father's glory.
Matthew 16:27
27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
Notice the text does NOT say Jesus shall come WITH THE FATHER, because Jesus is the Father.
If they were 2 separate entities the text would read "with the Father".

Based on the above the father decides who sists where and there are different thrones to the throne of God.

I see it this way using physical analogies to bring in Spiritual realities
Water, is also Steam and Ice, different forms, yet it is all water
Egg: Has a Yoke, White and Shell. Yoke = Father, White= Holy Spirit, Shell = Jesus the body.
The three make one
We the people have bodies, Jesus our risen Savior, Father the Yoke
Take on my yoke (burden) Jesus says, it is light and easy. Yet seeking that out it assuredly did not seem as so, to me growing up in troubles here on earth first, and am here still, just stand, stood and would not ever deny God all in all, even though I never deserved to get or be given new life in the risen Christ. Father by Son has done that once for us all anyways (Hebrews 10:10) to see (John 10:10) , and see the book of Job also amazing that last chapter after not giving up on God ever, even though Job sinned also, he just would not deny God, I see to not deny God either.
Being a part of the fellowship of the unashamed
The die has been cast, I see to stand, through it all good or bad that happens to us all here on earth, in spite of the bad
