Men are spewing out the radical feminism that now dominates government, public education, society, the rule of law, the culture, etc... in ever increasing numbers.

Honestly, I was shocked at the numerical growth of people who align with men's rights that's occurred over the past five years. The growth was very slow from the 1970s up until about five years ago. Now it's occurring at a rapid pace.

You're making me feel like part of the commercial break, "We'll get back to 'As the Bra Burns' shortly, but first this word from our sponsor, Chock Full O'Nuts."

I have seen enough in this thread. Seriously, are we going to attack our brothers and sisters in Christ? In Romans 12 it says "Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor." What I have seen in this thread has been a lot of attacking each other, lets try to love each other and show honor instead of attacking people and being rude. God bless you all.

yeah thats me and if I wore suspenders I would snap 'em

you really twisted quiet handily what I actually wrote...

the ole 'oh help me I am being attacked...

If you really think God created you to show humility, then please learn how to respond without attacking

yes, I am being sarcastic...but gently so

Ember,

I truly apologize if I came across as attacking you and that was never my intention at all. When I originally posted here I posted what came from my heart and the way I believe and we can agree to disagree with that belief, but I felt like I was put on the spotlight that I was the one twisting scripture and that really bothered me and felt that I needed to stand up for myself on that. However, I do apologize to you and to anyone else who was offended by what I said. I just want what I said to be of some value, if that makes sense.

Please forgive me
-cmarieh

Let's review what this thread is about.

A young teenager comes on posting a copy and paste from a cult site, telling woman to be slaves and servants, and how they must be married.

Some abused women, some single women, and myself (married 35 years!) disagree with the premise of the OP. I especially object to the fact the OP didn't bother to write it out herself. (And one of the longest copy and pastes in a long time!)

AoK decides to tirade about feminism being the root of all evil, and how he will never marry and in fact, left a church because a woman fell in love with him. A special brand of paranoia.

So a few women agree with the OP, but really don't post any verses to support, or show an understanding of the exegetics of the Bible on this issue. Hey, they are entitled to their opinion, I do hope they don't end up in a relationship with a man who is a dominant abuser, using the Bible to justify his cruelty.

And we get blasted for not being nice to each other? I think the abused women might have something to say about the kind of Christian culture that "demands" submission, forgetting that we are all to submit to one another.(Eph. 5:21)

The OP is a recipe for abuse, for power corrupts (the man in charge!) and absolute power corrupts absolutely!

I am a feminist, and it is because I have been involved in counseling abused Christian women. When I was helping at an abuse center with a group, uncovering the dynamics of abuse, it took 3/4s of a year to realize every single woman in the group was a Christian. That shocked me to my core.

Read "A Cry for Justice" by Jeff Crippen. He documents the entire patriarchal movement, and how the Christian culture of "wifely submission" leads to severe abuse, mental, emotional and especially physical.

That is what we need to be discussing, not this misguided attempt by a teenager to foist her church's aberrant doctrine on this forum and the women in it.

I think some so called Christian men are the worst kind of psychopath......because they think they have God on their side.

That's interesting, never heard of that. There's something very unsettling about the OP, like something you'd see in a science fiction drama involving brainwashing, robotic, which I wouldn't have said anything about, except now this. In total, it's a formula for abuse, as it damages what would be, clinically, a healthy "superego" as it's known, a sense of individual identity, worth, humanity, etc. When she said a wife can't be raped, that's off-the-wall. Thank you for the information, will have to Google this a little sometime. Another cult. For joy!

But I am disappointed you didn't mention my contributions to the thread, to provide free psychoanalysis, jumbo cashews, and rebuke Molech. Seems you're only appreciated, if you kick somebody in the shins, which, don't get me wrong, I like to do, but I was behaving, after a fashion... in a sense... sort of.

Christ is the ONLY solution to all this tit-for-tat man vs. woman stuff.

"'As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God'. So then, each one of us shall give an account of himself to God." - Romans 14:11-12

An abuser lacks the ability to empathize with their victim. Additionally...they get on a cycle that starts in the tension building stage. progresses to acute battering and then to the calming respite stage..... it repeats this cycle faster and faster with greater intensity each time the cycle completes.

There are three basic kinds of abuse: Sexual, physical and emotional/spiritual.

if you knew cmarieh a bit better, or had a bit of compassion for her age, if nothing else,
you would know her intent is not to provoke.

she's not a twister of words, never intentionally.

my opinion is you've shown precious little gentleness to her here.

Ember's is always a BURN!

No one and nothing is safe from Ember's. Not even the Bible.

Here's a recent victim of ember's:

It's also attractive for the sorts that use religion to control, a certain type of "Bible thumping" man that's a borderline psycho. It's very appealing to leverage religious activity, which has the approval of society, as a means to the ends of a dictatorial control freak. Usually, the noisier and more holier-than-thou they are, the more suspect this is, as it's feigned, a show, a pretense, the way psychos fake emotions.

While that you said is true Angela, did you miss the fact that a young woman asked how this was to be applied to a young unmarried woman? The first response to her was from AOK here

Marriage is in rapid decline along with birthrates, especially among young adults.

See: U.S. marriage rate hits new low and may continue to decline | Deseret News National

See: http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nvsr/nvsr64/nvsr64_01.pdf

I wonder what percentage of Christian women walk into the voting booth and vote for more and more radical feminism.

Pretty soon only homosexuals will be getting married and babies will have to be produced in test tubes if these radical feminist anti-male leftist policies and resulting trends continue driving men in Western societies way from marriage and fatherhood en masse.

You may not like Mary's post, and yes it's myopic and one-dimensional, but I'd marry a woman like that and form a nuclear family with her and so would every male I know.

You feminists, I wouldn't touch you with a ten-foot pole. I'll go to my grave single before I'll enter into a government legal contract that renders me powerless which you then nullify making me your government man-slave for potentially the rest of my natural life. THAT is NEVER going to happen. Go pound sand. Period.

The wicked killed off the righteous in Noah's generation forcing God to initiate a hard reset. This "generation" will do it simply by driving away all the good men so only the immoral reproduce.

She is not a feminist, she happens to be an unmarried woman at the moment. She responded and NO ONE ELSE SAID A WORD to her or answered her question. The only that said anything was Kodiak. (I myself had not yet read the thread.)

That remark of AOK's uncalled for in any way shape or form. What Kodiak said is VERY VALID to this thread.

Yup...this is why I can't take the ones around here who yell the loudest about their righteousness, seriously. They're likely the abusive kind.

I know, AoK had so many bad posts, it was hard to comment on them all. I sort of thought I covered single women in my last post? I mentioned them, anyway. I guess I got carried away on the abuse of wives, and forgot to get into the fact that not all women marry. Nor should they have to. And they should be respected for being single whether it is by choice, or whether they have just not met the person God wants them to be with.

I do not appreciate this at all. In fact I believe it is rude and in complete honesty inappropriate to single me out like you have. I understand that we don't agree and that is okay, but why can't you let it go? I beg to differ that God does care about my feelings very much so and out of all due respect God did create me and I answer to only him and by you attacking me that I am twisting God's word is completely not true. I know God created me to show humility and be in submission and those two things are not considered weaknesses and it takes strength to know whether to respond to something or not. I answered the OP here and I would appreciate it if you would leave my viewpoint out of it.

I do love all my brothers and sisters here and I feel that everything has blown out of proportion with what was in my original response.

Cmariah, You have stepped on some embers, I see.

Ember burns folks. You are the latest one to be burned.

Always remember, ember hides under rubbish. When you try to clean it up, she burns.

It's a very real tell, as you also notice the persistent agenda to try and exert control over others, so much so they can't cease to trollishly repeat themselves. It's vampiric.
