God makes different covenants at different times with men. He made one with Noah that was different than the one He made with Abraham. He made one with Abraham that was different than the one He made through Moses with the children of Israel. The one He made with the children of God through Christ, the best of all, was different than the one He made with the children of the man named Israel.
When God gave the children of Israel the covenant through Moses, He had to first take them out of Egypt and lead them into the wilderness. There is no way they would have been able to keep the commandments through Moses with all the various Sabbath rests, animal sacrifices and feast days if they would have remained in Egypt under its authority.
So Christ coming to enforce the same law that was given through Moses would also have to do the same thing that was done back then, take them out of Egypt (the authorities of this world) into some wilderness where they could once again observe all the statutes and commandments that were given through Moses.
But now under this latest and best covenant the same thing is happening for those of Christ but in a real sense. Instead of coming out of Egypt they come out of the ways of this world, instead of going into the wilderness to perform animal sacrifices, Sabbath rests and feast observances with only one soul once a year ever getting anywhere near the earthly holy of holies, they enter the real Holy of Holies in heaven near the throne of God where there is no sunsets or sunrises or new moons and full moons that are required for Sabbaths and feasts observances. For the children of God who reside with God in the Holy of Holies are themselves holy, thus they, like God their Father and their Brother Jesus Christ, no longer dwell under the sun, moon and stars along with those who still attempt in a limited way to observe some of those laws that were given to the children of men who lived under the sun, moon and stars. The children of God being holy like their Father, are above these temporary lowly elements and live as their Holy Father has for eternity, before there ever was a sunset, a sunrise, a moon and a Sabbath.
