Hey my loves!! How are you guys this Sunday? I hope ALL is well!

What are your thoughts on the law of attraction? do you think it's a positive thing to practice? Do any of you use this method? Do you think the secret law of attraction exists?? Opinions!

Do you mean attraction for boys and girls or the scientific law of attraction?
 
I have met a wonderful woman from this site and I can say from experience that we are very attracted to each other.
 
Please explain this scientific law of attraction..if its scientific law then it is something that God has set in order.
 
Opposites attract, ie, positive and negative poles (or italians,germans,english) :)
 
The Secret Law of Attraction is a mind science religion.
In a nutshell, you attract what you think.

It has nothing to do with God's will or sovereignty.
The Secret is a works based religion, not a grace based religion.

There is nothing new about The Secret and Law of Attraction. It's old eastern mind science religions repackaged in trendy attire.

If you strip the concept of any "super powers", then you have a slightly positive thing.
Mentally it's better to think positive than negative, and you may be more likely to succeed at something with a positive can do attitude.

See if you can find "The Latent Power of the soul" by Watchman Nee .... it's an online book, I believe.
 
It's a counterfeit of Christ and part of America's psychological movement. God tells us to renew our minds. Of course if we renew our minds we will live and dwell in Christ abundantly, but the Law of Attraction suggests that anything we put our mind to we will get (setting us into a works mentality). "I'm not thinking well, I need to see a psychologist to help me think better". That was not Christ's message for us at all. He was like, "Thy will be done" (the Father's will) and we must have the MIND of CHRIST, not follow after all the thoughts and our own actions . If you are following Christ you are to follow His will, not focus on fixing ourselves all the time. God does that. Basically, it tries to paint a smiliar message about renewing the mind, but suggests that we are in control (works), not GOD (grace).

When I think of the life of Jesus there definitely is a law of attraction there. He always filled the need at the time. If it was healing He healed, He came to serve and not be served.

I think of His life that he had on earth and see the perfection He exhibited as He resisted the devil during His temptations during the 40 days in the wilderness and He past each test always using the word of God.

He did not turn people away, He blessed children and did not condemn the woman who was brought to Him accused of adultery but said to her go and sin no more. He was kind and loving, tempted and tried. Religious leaders were His biggest opposition and plotted His death.

All of these things draw me to Him and to me this is definitely an attraction. Maybe not the one you were looking for but this is an attraction to Jesus for me. It makes me want to become like Him and reflect His character....I have a long way to go, but it is a nice goal to shoot for.

There isn't any certain rules for attraction, because everyone system is different. Some like certain qualities and which others doesn't. Different strokes for different folks.
 
Sounds like the Norman Vincent Peale type Gar'bage...the Power of Positive Thinking.
Walter Martin used to say:
"Paul is appealing;
Peale is appalling".
