I brought up the fact that many do subscribe to conspiracy theories. But it's foolish indeed to try and have a rational discussion about it with such people.

I am not bored, I am trying to understand what you think is "theoretical" about this movie. Is Tim Ballard a liar, did he make it all up?
Anyway no worries I can my own research I always have and will continue to do so.
The "theoretical" part is that this drug therapy actually is efficacious. Not that wealthy people paid money for it or that people actually manufactured this drug or that these children were killed for their organs.

Got around to watching it. Honestly, it's pretty boring. It deals with a problem that needs attention; I'm just not sure how well this movie does anything to actually help. It seems more like a self-serving bit of fiction on Tim Ballard's behalf; not unlike Jesus Revolution was for Greg Laurie. It's being promoted as a "true story"; but much of it is actually not true at all. For example, in the movie, Ballard gets funding from the US embassy in Columbia to finance his operations there. In reality the funding came from Glenn Beck.
It's very low budget and it shows.
I didn't detect any blatant QAnon conspiracies in the film. There is one part though that is suggestive. The Ballard character reads a newspaper report about a guy who was busted in Columbia for operating a pedophile club for high-paying, private members only. This gives him the idea to create a sting which uses the same thing as a ruse to trap child traffickers. QAnon claims there's a cabal of pedophiles running the world which has members from all the world's elite.
It's starting to be reported that Tim Ballard stepped down from O.U.R. shortly before the film's release. In all the interviews he's done since it's release he never once has mentioned this. I've been watching some of Ballard's interviews and to me he acts like a total conman. Time will tell I guess.

Well you are the first I have ever heard to call it boring. And it certainly did not come off as low budget to me or anyone else that saw it.
It was based on a true story but I am sure there was some dramatic license taken. The shooting at the end was probably one instance.

It was based on Tim Ballard's version of the truth. You can't say something is based on a true story when the story it's supposedly based on isn't true.
You could maybe say it's based on Tim Ballard's life and work; but it's not based on any true story.
Sometimes it's fascinating to watch somebody bend over backward to justify hating an entire group of people.
Maybe you should get a hobby. Compiling a large confirmation bias to allow yourself to hate everything-Hollywood can't be healthy for you. The blood pressure cost alone, man...

There are streets in Houston where children are walking the streets EVERY DAY looking for customers....some as young as 9.
The people who patronize children prostitutes are diverse....Basically in two groups. One are just thugs who don't care....but then there's the wealthy, respected pillars of the community that are judges, priests/pastors, teachers and etc. They are hidden but "trustworthy " that have inserted themselves into the positions for the purpose of getting access to children.
Sting operations that post up an ad selling 13 year old girls gets an average of 300 replies every hour.
