15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers (Breaking commandment #1 Exodus 20:3) and sexually immoral (breaking commandment #7 Exodus 20:14)
The "dogs" are the Gentiles in the scripture.

Matthew 15:26
And He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.”

Matthew 15:27
But she said, “Yes, Lord; but even the dogs feed on the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.”

The reference to "sorcery" is found in the ceremonial law and not in the ten words.

Exodus 22
You shall not allow a sorceress to live.

Deuteronomy 18:10
There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire,
one who uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer.

As for "sexual immorality" that is definitely defined in the ceremonial law.

Leviticus 18:6-22.

Too big to print.

I do not know where you got the idea of someone "plucking the Law out from under the mercy seat" The ark represented a heavenly reality that was not accessible to mortal men. It seems you have reverse engineered this metaphorical image in order to smuggle in some presupposition you hold. Basically, though, what you are saying is that God cannot modify or abridge anything He has ever spoken or commanded. This presents God as an automaton while the scriptures presents Him as a sovereign and self-directing Being. When God decrees something is He not able to alter, modify or even withdraw it in accordance with the His OWN PLAN OF REDEMPTION

Just like clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel. 7At any time I might announce that a nation or kingdom will be uprooted, torn down, and destroyed. 8 But if that nation I warned turns from its evil, then I will relent of the disaster I had planned to bring.…(Jeremiah 18:6-8)

This was the case with the Jews who had been given the command to circumcise all male descendents as well as all who wanted to join with Israel in their pursuit of God. However, their pattern of worship, the system of sacrifices were all rendered inoprative with the destruction of the temple.

Then when the Son died and rose again, God made an entirely NEW COVENANT which rendered the former one OBSOLETE. The New Covenant was revolutionary introducing a change and a power which will one day alter the design of the universe. When I read the NT which was written by the Apostles and those who had observed the Savior, I do not see mention of keeping Shabbat. It is simply not there though, if what you are saying were true, I would expect to find it everywhere.

When the law of God, the Ten Commandments is broken, it require atonement for sin. The mercy seat was placed above the Ten Commandments Exo25:21 The day of atonement the blood of animals was sprinkled on the mercy seat. This symbolized that atoning blood covered the broken law.

The earthy sanctuary was a copy or shadow pointing to what Jesus does as our High Priest in His heavenly Temple

Exo 25:40And see to it that you make them according to the pattern which was shown you on the mountain.

This means the sanctuary Moses built was not the original, but a copy of something real.

The NT confirms this:

Heb 8:5 who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said, “See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”

Heb 9:23 Therefore it was necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are often, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood of another

The blood of goats and sheep could never take away sins, why the earthy sanctuary system always pointed to God's heavenly sanctuary- where He is now acting as our High Priest, doing exactly what the Levitical Priests did, but His blood can atone for our sins and final atonement has not happened why we are still separated from God.

The earthy temple was a copy of God's Heavenly Temple, where God's law is in the Most Holy under His mercy seat in the ark of His covenant Rev15:5 Rev11:19 Why Jesus warned not removing a jot or tittle of His law Mat5:18-19 because His blood atones for this law why its under His mercy seat and final atonement has not happened. Not accepting one of His commandments doesn't remove the law, it just covers our sin where there is no mercy Pro28:13 Exo20:6

Why the ark of God's covenant that holds the Ten Commandments is shown at the last trumpet when Jesus comes because its what all man is Judged by John12:48 James 2:10-12. God's own written and spoken Testimony Exo31:18 God's standard of Truth Psa 119:151 and right doing Psa 119:172 which is everlasting Psa 119:142 the foundation of His Throne Psa 89:14

The question is will we obey and serve God the way He asked Isa 56:6 or do so on our own terms, which is doing our will and not His Psa40:8 Heb8:10 Mat 7:21-23

Seventh Trumpet: The Kingdom Proclaimed

Rev 11:15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” 16 And the twenty-four elders who sat before God on their thrones fell on their faces and worshiped God, 17 saying:

“We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty,
The One who is and who was and who is to come,
Because You have taken Your great power and reigned.
18 The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come,
And the time of the dead, that they should be judged,
And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints,

And those who fear Your name, small and great,
And should destroy those who destroy the earth.”

19 Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail.

We know what is in the ark because the earthy temple told us and it was a copy of what is in heaven, the Ten Commandments, unedited because who can edit God? No one.

Exo 25:16 And you shall put into the ark the Testimony which I will give you.

Exo 31:18 18 And when He had made an end of speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Moses two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.

Deut 4:13 13 So He declared to you His covenant which He commanded you to perform, the Ten Commandments; and He wrote them on two tablets of stone.

The entire Bible is about the testimony of God through His prophets and apostle's John5:39 who has a greater Testimony about God than God Himself- both written and spoken by God Exo31:18 If we don't believe God's own Testimony I am not sure our bibles mean a whole lot.

No, Gentiles are not all outside of heaven, its referring to evil people/sinners Phi 3:2 Mat7:6 which can be a jew or Gentile God does not judge based on race but based who they serve which who one obeys. Rom6:16

Sorcery is another spirit that some turn to instead of obeying God which breaks the very first commandment. God tells us we are judged by His commandments James 2:10-12 Mat 5:19-30 Ecc12:13-14 breaking one we break them all why only this law is under His mercy seat for atonement.

That is why they always quote from Exodus 34 and not Exodus 24.

Simply because in Exodus 24 there are no stone tablets written with God's finger.
Sure there is

Exo 24:12 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain and be there; and I will give you tablets of stone, and the law and commandments which I have written, that you may teach them.”

So what God said is not the important? God never said one in seven, He was specific. This mindset is what cause this whole issue in the first place where they thought it was just a tree, what difference does a tree make, yet their disobedience caused the great fall. God only blessed and sactified one day and made it a commandment. I say its important to God.
If you actually knew what God said to gentile believers, then you would have a point. Your spiritual blindness keeps you bound to dead legalism. You are clueless even as to why Adam and Eve fell. I won't explain further. You are willfully blind, so there is no point.

In Mathew 4:15-23, Jesus began his ministry with the Gospel message to repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand, which was a light to the Gentiles, and the Mosaic Law was how his audience knew what sin is (Romans 3:20), so repenting from our disobedience to it is a central part of the Gospel message, which means that the way to obey the Gospel is by obeying the Mosaic Law.

Trying to establish our own righteousness has always been a fundamental misunderstanding of the goal of the Law of Moses. In Exodus 33:13, Moses wanted God to be gracious to him by teaching him to walk in His way that he and Israeli might know Him, and in Matthew 7:23, Jesus said that he would tell those who are workers of lawlessness to depart from him because he never knew them, so the goal of the Law of Moses is to graciously teach us how to know God and Jesus by walking in His way, which is His gift of eternal life.

In Romans 9:30-10:4, the Israelites had a zeal for God, but it was not based on knowing Him, so they failed to attain righteousness because they misunderstood the goal of the law by pursuing it as thought righteousness were earned as the result of their works instead of pursuing it as though righteousness is by faith in Christ, for knowing Christ is the goal of the law for righteousness for everyone who has faith. In Romans 10:5-10, Paul referred to Deuteronomy 30 as the word of faith that we proclaim in regard to the righteousness that is by faith proclaiming that the Law of Moses is not too difficult for us to obey, that obedience to it brings life and a blessing, in regard to what we are committing to obey by confessing that Jesus is Lord, and in regard to the way to believe that God raised him from the dead for salvation. So nothing in this passage has anything to do with Jesus ending the Law of Moses but just the opposite. It doesn't even make sense to think that God's Word made flesh ended God's Word, but rather he is the goal of God's Word.
Jesus is not your Lord. The Law is your Lord.

People have their own reasons and there have been many Gentiles who have chosen to do that. In Luke 10:25-28, Jesus affirmed that the way to inherit eternal life is by obeying the greatest two commandments of the Mosaic Law, and there are many other verses that repeatedly affirm this. In Romans 10:5-8, Paul referred to Deuteronomy 30 as the word of faith hat we proclaim in regard to the righteousness that is by faith proclaiming that the Mosaic Law is not too difficult for us to obey and that obedience to it brings life and a blessing while disobedience to brings death and a curse, so choose life! The way for someone to choose death is by refusing to obey the Mosaic Law.
What Jesus said was to Jews living under the covenant of Laws. "Hear O Israel". And it should be obvious, even to you, that the sinner is unable to obey the law. Not even King David obeyed God's law perfectly. Is he in hell?

Insults are not a biblical argument. Jesus said the Sabbath is made for mankind - which of course would include Gentiles and everyone who wants to join themselves to the LORD Isa56:6 Spiritual blindness according to Jesus which is the only opinion that matters are those who place man-made traditions over obeying the commandments of God quoting directly from the Ten Commandments. Mat15-3-14. If one needs insults to support their argument over using Scripture, I guess that says everything. Be well.

In this modern era that is correct and Gentiles can become Jews.

Though, I am not sure that was the case in the first century.

It seems that a Jew was defined by having a Jewish mother in the first century.

The impression I get is that Jews were strictly defined as descendants of Abraham.

I may be wrong on this point.
There was provision in the Law for non-Jews to become Jews. There are four people not descendants of Abraham in the bloodline of Lord Jesus. Non Jew males had to be circumcised and commit to obeying God's law. Google says this:

"The Old Testament records examples of people who identified with the God of Israel and His people, most notably Ruth the Moabite, who famously said, "Your people shall be my people, and your God my God" (Ruth 1:16). Others included Rahab, who was assimilated into Israel (Joshua 6:25), and many who joined during the time of Esther (Esther 8:17)."

It's not stated, but I imagine that Uriah the Hittite would have been one who converted. You can find more about this in Isaiah 56. The gentiles are referred to as foreigners.

Sure there is

Exo 24:12 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain and be there; and I will give you tablets of stone, and the law and commandments which I have written, that you may teach them.”
Exodus 24:7-8
Then he took the book of the covenant and read it in the hearing of the people; and they said,
All that the Lord has spoken we will do, and we will be obedient!” So Moses took the blood and
sprinkled it on the people, and said, “Behold the blood of the covenant, which the Lord has made
with you in accordance with all these words
.”

After the covenant had been established between God and Israel and the blood, had been
sprinkled on the people.

Then your quotation takes place.

Exodus 24:12
Now the Lord said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain and remain there, and I will give you
the stone tablets with the law and the commandment, which I have written for their instruction.”

Nice try, but the covenant had already been established on the spoken law which Moses wrote.

Your stone tablets are an afterthought.

Truth is not an insult.
Why do people get so caught up on the ritualistic side of the sabbath? I enjoyed a sabbath today. Sometimes after working 14 days straight at 110 hours a week outside, it’s good to have time to recoup physically, mentally, and spiritually. Maybe if people still worked like they did a few thousand years ago they would understand why God made the sabbath. Imagine working for your food, water, shelter, and clothing all day everyday. The crazy thing in Israel these days Jews even refuse to press the buttons in elevators on the sabbath because it’s considered work. 🙄

Exactly. That is what dead religion will do to you. I was in the military when I was saved. I knew nothing about the sabbath. At sea, we still had to work for an hour on Sunday. Those on watch maintained the usual schedule. The law applied to Israel. Gentiles are exempt. Acts 15 says it all.

As Hayes writes:

Paul’s vision of the distinct demographic groups in the end-time kingdom may well be predicated on a system of concentric circles of proximity to the Holy One and maintained by genealogical distinction. The idea of concentric circles of proximity to holiness is a commonplace of biblical tradition, particularly the priestly source, and later Judaism.
The innermost circle (that of priests) carries with it the greatest privileges (greatest access to and service of the holy) as well as the greatest ritual and legal obligations (purity requirements, marital rules, etc., in excess of the requirements and rules articulated in the covenant with the larger nation). Membership in this group is genealogically determined—only sons of Aaron may be priests and access the holiest parts of the sanctuary.
The next ring out is that of Levites—slightly fewer privileges and ritual and legal obligations. Membership in this group is also genealogically determined, as only members of the tribe of Levi are accounted Levites. Encircling the Levites are the Israelites, possessing fewer privileges and ritual and legal obligations, and also genealogically determined—only the sons of Isaac are accounted members of the nation of Israel.
Finally, Gentiles who recognize Yahweh as the one creator God have the fewest privileges and ritual and legal obligations (but not no privileges and obligations, as indicated by the prohibition of defiling sexual behaviors, blood, and meat offered to idols or from strangled animals; Acts 15:29). Membership in this group is also genealogically determined. As the seed of Abraham, Gentiles are members of God’s kingdom and covenant of faith; but they are not the seed of Israel through Isaac according to the flesh, and, on the view of Paul and other “exclusivists” at least, they are not entitled to the privileges and obligations of the covenant of circumcision and the Mosaic Torah any more than an Israelite of the seed of Isaac is entitled to the privileges and obligations of the priestly seed of Aaron. It is hardly surprising that genealogical distinction should define and police the boundary between Jew and Gentile when it served to define and police the boundary between distinct groups even within Israel.

Up until God chose the Gentiles through the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Jews were
the chosen race that God foreknew. God is the one who chooses and judges on His basis.
Israel was judged heavily in AD 70.

Sorcery is not mentioned in the first commandment you need to read the law properly.

Exodus 22, contains the ceremonial law and that's where the sin and the penalty for that sin
is described. That is codified law.

Exodus 22
You shall not allow a sorceress to live.

See where it is mentioned.

You keep waving that magic wand.

You and I both know that's not true and more importantly God knows. There is nothing we can hide from Him. Ecc12:13-14. Even when you took a Scripture and isolated it from the context and I asked you to explain by the same passage which law its referring to you refused. I am happy to back up what I post with Scripture if asked.

Feel free to respond to my post directly to you, one of many, not just posting a verse without the context but really going through it and explanting it by Scripture from a very long Bible study. Its easy to make accusations, sadly too many focus on that over what the Scriptures really say in its context.

There are several different Sabbaths in the Bible that uses the same word, but has very different meanings.

There is the seventh day Sabbath- instituted at Creation Exo20:11 Gen2:1-3, came before sin, reaffirmed in the Ten Commandments Exo20:8-11, written by God personally Exo31:18, placed inside God’s ark Exo40:20 God called it “the holy day of the Lord” Isa58:13

There are the annual sabbath(s) feast days that are always tied to animal sacrifices, they don’t always fall on the seventh day can be on any day and came after the fall and were handwritten by Moses, placed besides the ark of God’s covenant came after sin.

  • 1st day of Unleavened Bread
  • 7th day of Unleavened Bread
  • Pentecost
  • Trumpets
  • Day of Atonement
  • 1st day of Tabernacles
  • 8th day of Tabernacles
We see these in Leviticus 23 and these are additional feasts besides the Sabbath of the Lord- the seventh day Sabbath Lev 23:37-38

So I think we are being quick to assume by seeing the word Sabbath that has different meanings and assuming it means the Holy Day of the Lord that comes with God's blessing and sanctification , without looking at the context that Paul carefully gave and we should let the Bible interpret itself.

Col 2:14 KJV Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to His cross.

Col 2:14 NASB having canceled the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.

Greek word for handwriting: χειρόγραφον (cheirographon)
Literally: “something written by hand

Ordinances
τοῖς δόγμασιν (tois dogmasin)
Meaning: “decrees,” “regulations,” “legal demands”

It is a legal document that condemns sinners why Paul used the word “against us” and “contrary to us”. The law does not condemn the righteous, it condemns the sinners.

Just from this context that Paul gave we can eliminate the Ten Commandments, but lets let Scripture interpret Scripture.

Who wrote the handwritten ordinances?

2 Chron 33:8 and I will not again remove the foot of Israel from the land which I have appointed for your fathers—only if they are careful to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.

What law is the law that was contrary and against?

Deut 31:24-26 So it was, when Moses had completed writing the words of this law in a book, when they were finished, 25 that Moses commanded the Levites, who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord, saying: 26 “Take this Book of the Law, and put it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there as a witness against you;

It appears from the text that this is not referring to the Sabbath in the Ten Commandments that was written by God Himself by His finger Exo31:18 placed inside the ark of the covenant, not besides like the annual sabbath(s) connected to animal sacrifices.

This is the law that was taken away at the Cross.

Col 2:16 let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

This is the exact language referring to the annual sabbath(s) that were handwritten by Moses, placed besides the ark that refer to annual feasts days, sacrifices and offerings that some were also called sabbath(s)

Eze 45:17 and it shall be the prince's part to give burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the new moons, and in the sabbaths, in all solemnities of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the house of Israel.

What did Jesus say He would come to put an end to? (compared to magnifying another law- by placing it in our hearts Isa42:21 Heb8:10)

Dan 9:27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.

Col 2:17 which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ

What are the shadows laws? Lets let the Scriptures define what they are

Heb 10:1 For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once []purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins. 3 But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.

5 Therefore
, when He came into the world, He said:

“Sacrifice and offering You did not desire,
But a body You have prepared for Me.
6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin
You had no pleasure.
7 Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come—
In the volume of the book it is written of Me—
To do Your will, O God.’ ”

8 Previously saying, “Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the law), 9 then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, []O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second. 10 By that will we have been []sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all

This fits the context of this passage perfectly and makes the Bible harmonize because we see Sabbath-keeping (every Sabbath) 30+ years after the Cross just as Jesus Himself indicated Isa 56:6-7 Acts 13:42, Acts 13:44 Acts 15:21 Acts 18:4 and up to His Second Coming Mat24:20-30 and forever Isa66:22-23
Using the bible alone.
Verse upon verse and line upon line, with the context.

It is clear that Sabbathblessing is correct. You are using bible verses to back up every point made. But those that are opposed to keeping the law go around in circles and refuse to answer the questions. (When they do, they are strange, weak, and unbiblical).

If what you have given is not biblical then people need to explain where and how it is wrong. Which I can not see.
They refuse to see the truth but also refuse to show what is wrong.
Prove all things by the word. You have done this. Praise God.

Isa 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

Isa 28:9-10 9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. 10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

I refer you to Acts chapter 15. Your denial of God's word leaves you in bondage. the law of Moses has no application to Gentile believers. I live by the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ my King. Lord Jesus does not require me to attend church on Saturday. If you wish to observe before the sunset on Friday to after sunset Saturday, good for you. You have no right to try to impose laws intended for Israel on gentile believers. Remember what God said? "Hear O Israel".

You should also be circumcised, offer sacrifices in the temple and obey God's food laws. Then you could be a good sabbath keeper and obey the law of Moses. You will also live a life that cannot please God. You will not be justified. Your sins will not be forgiven. If you are born again, then you will not be sent to hell. You will not receive the blessings of the Kingdom that God has in store for those who are devoted to Christ

If you are not born again, none of your religious gymnastics will save you.
There were 2 TWO. groups of people those that accepted Jesus and those that didn't..

The pharisees, which crucified Jesus, which Paul was in the past did not like the changes that Christians were bringing about. Saul, Paul was killing Christians in the past.

The Jews that did not accept Jesus were promoting the old covenant principles and all the mosesic laws.
They did not understand the changes that Jesus made by His death.

So there were TWO groups of people with TWO different understandings of the Laws.

The pharisees were pushing the laws of Moses on the Gentiles and most of those laws were nailed to the cross.

This does not mean the moral Laws or 10 commandments were nailed to the cross.

This does not mean the moral laws did not apply to the Gentiles.

TWO LAWS

The laws of Moses that were nailed to the cross needed to be sorted out and cleared up because these were being pushed on the Gentiles.

Act 15:5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.

There is no debate about murder or Adultery or stealing. These were moral laws that everyone agreed on. The rest of the 10 commandments are the same. No debate about the moral laws of not coveting or not Taking God's name in vain. No debate about lying or having any other gods before the LORD.

Circumcision was not one of the 10.

By understanding that some laws were only given until the death of Christ you can understand why it was wrong for the pharisees to try and force any Christian to obey these voided laws.

Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and....

,Heb 9:10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

It was the blood of Christ that made the new covenant valid... Heb 9:15-18.

And Acts 15 is helping people to understand which laws were not needed to be kept.

Act 15:29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

But this must not have been talking about the Royal moral law because, nothing is said about murder and stealing.. and I do not think that Paul would have said it is acceptable to murder and steal.

Everyone needs a day of rest. Which day is not important. Paul said as much to the Colossians. I refer you to Acts 15 once again.
But God BLESSED THE SEVENTH DAY not Sunday or Monday.
You can rest every day if you want to but the day that GOD SAID TO REST is the seventh.

It is about obedience

You can follow tradition or what is convenient for you or you can FOLLOW GOD.

Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Only one day was blessed and sanctified by God.

The Bible uses the Greek word “dogma” to refer to something other than the Law of God every other time that it is used outside of Colossians 2:14 and Ephesians 2:15, so justification needs to be given for why those verses should be interpreted as referring to the Law of God, especially in light of the fact that it would contradict the surrounding verses and the broader context of verses like Psalm 119:160 that says that all of God’s righteous laws are eternal. That is a different issue that the distinction between the Law of God, the law of sin, and works of the law.
So I ask...

What laws were nailed to the cross. ?
Are the 10 commandments void today?

Are 100% of all laws abolished..?

Or were some not made void.?

If you say some laws were not. Who gives you the right to pick and choose which laws remain and which laws are nailed to the cross. ?

The bible is clear that the shadow laws were only until the cross.

The ceremonial law was designed as a "shadow" of the blessings to come. When Jesus died, the "type" (the animal sacrifice) met the "antitype" (Christ Himself), and the shadow was no longer needed because the reality had arrived.

The "law of commandments contained in ordinances" was a wall of partition that separated Jews and Gentiles. Through His death, Christ abolished this enmity to bring all people into one body through the Gospel.

Ephesians 2:15-16: "Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of two one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both to God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby."
