It appears to me from reading your many posts that you believe all habitual Sabbath breakers will not enter into eternal life. Is this true?
Jesus judges us regarding the light we have. We are blessed with Bibles and His word is to be the light to our path Psa 110:105. The 4th commandment is not plucked out from under God's mercy seat, God wrote Ten Commandments Deut4:13 Exo34:28 not nine, not one, breaking one we break them all James2:10-12, they are all interconnected and I can show from God's own words how God relates breaking the Sabbath to idol worship. Breaking any law we automatically break the 1st commandment. We will all be judged by the laws under His mercy seat, His blood covers our sins from this law- why He said not to remove a jot or tittle of the law because it doesn't remove the law, it removes the mercy on what He covers Pro28:13 Exo20:6. Why would we want to serve someone else Isa 56:6 if we love Jesus. He invites everyone, but sadly many just do not like His condition John3:19-21. God wants to spend holy time with us and He blessed and sanctified ONE day to do so. Exo20:11 Gen2:3 so He can bless Isa 56:2 and sanctify us Eze20:12 because we can't do this on our own Isa66:17. People reject because man took their traditions over obeying God, just as predicted Dan7:25 and warned Mat15:3-14 Mark7:7-13

Here is the book of the law that Moses wrote.

Exodus 24:3-4
Then Moses came and recounted to the people all the words of the Lord and all the ordinances; and all
the people answered with one voice and said, “All the words which the Lord has spoken we will do!”
Moses wrote down all the words of the Lord.

The Lord spoke them and Moses wrote them.

That was the covenant based on the Mosaic law.
I agree. I find the problem is that some see the 10 commandments and the law as two different things. Which is contrary as the bible does in fact say they are the same and links them as the same.

I Corinthians of course Paul is rebuking them. While doing so he clearly lets it be know that the law and commandments are one and the same.

I Corinthians 14:34

34Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

Verse 37 reads,

37If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.
38But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.

Paul laying down how the church was to be decent and orderly as he references are laid out under the Mosaic law. To which he says are indeed the commandments of the Lord. So there is not just ten commandments but all of it the whole law is the commandments of the Lord.

Sure, Gentiles can become Jews. There is provision in the OT for that. Why would they? Why embrace a covenant that brings death when you could enjoy the covenant of new life? Of course, you prefer the covenant of death, but that's your choice.
In this modern era that is correct and Gentiles can become Jews.

Though, I am not sure that was the case in the first century.

It seems that a Jew was defined by having a Jewish mother in the first century.

The impression I get is that Jews were strictly defined as descendants of Abraham.

I may be wrong on this point.

Jesus said Heaven and earth will pass away before the law . So the law is obviously still valid . When heaven and earth do pass away its judgement time by the law . The problem is the flesh cannot keep the law , but the Spirit of God can . So the necessity of the Holy Spirit makes it possible to keep the law and love God in Spirit and truth . It’s the flesh that’s weak . Not the Spirit of God . Thanks be to God for his gift of the Holy Spirit .
Jesus fulfilled the law and as a result granted salvation to all who call on His name.

John 5:46
For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me.

Moses wrote down the entire law in Exodus 24, and that law was describing Jesus to the letter.

For rest of us the law merely tells us that we are sinners.

The law announces loudly that you transgress the law.

There was only ever one person that would ever obey the law to the letter.

The law is preparing Israel for the messiah.

I will print that verse again.

John 5:46
For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me.

Moses was not writing about Israel nor was he writing about you.

All the Law does is tell you, in no uncertain terms, you need Jesus.

Isa 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
We know that Jesus fulfilled the law and the prophets.

Even you freely admit that Jesus fulfilled over 98% of the law and the prophets.

Yet, you seem to think that Jesus could not fulfill the ten commandments?

Jesus obliterated the ten commandments, Jesus fulfilled the entire law to the letter.

Jesus did not lie.

Jesus obeyed His Father to such an extent that it cost Him His life.

Jesus never even lusted after any woman let alone committing adultery.

Jesus far surpassed the law of sabbath observance by preaching and healing on that day.

Jesus expressed agape love beyond measure on the sabbath day.

Is someone going to tell me that Jesus did not fulfill the ten commandments?

Is someone going to tell me that Jesus did not far surpass what the law demanded.

There are not two sets of laws as there was only one set that Moses wrote all about Jesus.

Jesus saves us from our sin (Matthew 1:21) and it is by the Mosaic Law that we have knowledge of what sin is (Romans 3:20), so Jesus graciously teaching us to be does of it is intrinsically the way that he is giving us his gift of saving us from not being doer of it. If you don't think that you need to be saved from not being a doer of the Mosaic Law, then why do you think that you need salvation?

The Torah is truth (Psalms 119:142) and apparently as TruthDefender you can't handle the truth.
That's a despicable and slanderous comment. It deliberately misrepresents the issues under discussion and seeks to frame your opponent in a negative light personally.

Jesus judges us regarding the light we have.

What verse or portion of scripture did you find that in? This really needs reference because although I am very familiar with scripture, I have not come across what you say above.

This thread has gone sideways so many times, it has met itself coming and going.

I do not know where you got the idea of someone "plucking the Law out from under the mercy seat" The ark represented a heavenly reality that was not accessible to mortal men. It seems you have reverse engineered this metaphorical image in order to smuggle in some presupposition you hold. Basically, though, what you are saying is that God cannot modify or abridge anything He has ever spoken or commanded. This presents God as an automaton while the scriptures presents Him as a sovereign and self-directing Being. When God decrees something is He not able to alter, modify or even withdraw it in accordance with the His OWN PLAN OF REDEMPTION

Just like clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel. 7At any time I might announce that a nation or kingdom will be uprooted, torn down, and destroyed. 8 But if that nation I warned turns from its evil, then I will relent of the disaster I had planned to bring.…(Jeremiah 18:6-8)

This was the case with the Jews who had been given the command to circumcise all male descendents as well as all who wanted to join with Israel in their pursuit of God. However, their pattern of worship, the system of sacrifices were all rendered inoprative with the destruction of the temple.

Then when the Son died and rose again, God made an entirely NEW COVENANT which rendered the former one OBSOLETE. The New Covenant was revolutionary introducing a change and a power which will one day alter the design of the universe. When I read the NT which was written by the Apostles and those who had observed the Savior, I do not see mention of keeping Shabbat. It is simply not there though, if what you are saying were true, I would expect to find it everywhere.

In the list of those who will be excluded from eternal life we see many participating in many kinds of sin:

Revelation 22:15 says:
“Outside (the City) are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.”

2 Thessalonians 1:6-10 adds: 6 After all, it is only right for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you, 7and to grant relief to you who are oppressed and to us as well. This will take place when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels 8 in blazing fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9They will suffer the penalty of eternal destruction, separated from the presence of the Lord and the glory of His might,
10 on the day He comes to be glorified in His saints and regarded with wonder by those who have believed, including you who have believed our testimony.

Why do these Apostles not mention the multitudes of Shabbat-breakers which surely must be there?

Its listing the commandments so we know which law is being spoken of, the Ten Commandments, breaking one we break them all James 2:10-12

Revelation 22:14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. 15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers (Breaking commandment #1 Exodus 20:3) and sexually immoral (breaking commandment #7 Exodus 20:14) and murderers (breaking commandment #6 Exodus 20:13) and idolaters (breaking commandment #2 Exodus 20:4-6), and whoever loves and practices a lie (breaking # 9 Exodus 20:16 or any of the commandments 1 John 2:4) Breaking one we break them all James 2:11-12 Exo 20:1-17 .

Sure. God is not going to judge someone like in the dark ages when they had no access to the word of God as He would us, where we have the word of God. This principle is found in our Bibles

Luke 12:48 — more knowledge = more responsibility
Romans 2:12–16 — judged according to the law or conscience you had
Acts 17:30 — God was patient with ignorance, but now calls people to respond to the truth

The Bible does present the Ten Commandments as the covenant itself. In Exodus 34:28, it is written:

"So he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread nor drank water. And He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments."

"So He declared to you His covenant which He commanded you to perform, the Ten Commandments; and He wrote them on two tablets of stone
(Deuteronomy 4:13, NKJV)

229 pages and what the op states is no more true now then when it was posted. God addressed them to Moses and the Israelites who had come out of Egypt.

What do people who mistakenly believe the commandments are the covenant we have with God do with this:

Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah
. Jeremiah 31:31

God promised a new covenant through the prophet Jeremiah and yet here we have people clinging to the original covenant God made with Israel through Moses. It should be remembered, that Moses, because of ONE SINGLE disobedient act he committed in his anger with the Israelites, got his ticket to the promised land revoked.

So, if Moses, and is anyone here going to compare themself to Moses the man singled out by God to deliver thousands of people out of the hand of the most powerful individual on the earth at that time, so displeased God with whom he personally fellowshipped as had no human prior (save Adam and Eve who blew it) was made to pay for that sin done in anger because he judged a nation as God had not yet done, who here thinks they are going to keep the most insuperable set of instructions unyielding and demanding, before God who is sinless and perfectly understood no human of his construction would ever or could ever keep that set of impending doom for all mankind.

Let me just simplify that:

Who here thinks they are going to keep the most insuperable set of instructions unyielding and demanding, before God who is sinless and perfectly understood no human of his construction would ever or could ever keep that set of impending doom for all mankind?
There should be no takers. No one here should be of the foolhardy expectation of exemplary obedience. That, would be a failure before an attempt would even be made because even the thought of being capable would erase you if keeping the 10 (let alone 613 which accompanied the 10 people like to fancy) were your works you thought pleased God. God is not interested in anyone's boastful law keeping. He is ONLY interested in what you do with HIS offer of salvation through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
let this be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. 11This Jesus is

‘the stone you builders rejected,

which has become the cornerstone.’a

12Salvation exists in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4

Do you have any ides what your talking about when you mention the Mosaic law?

In 1 Corinthians 9:9-10 and 1 Timothy 5:18, the apostle Paul uses the law shown below.

Deuteronomy 25:4
You shall not muzzle an ox when it is treading out the grain.

To argue that those who labour for the gospel, evangelists, ministers, inquisitors, are entitled
to financial and material support from the church they serve.

Paul uses this phrase to illustrate that the worker deserves to partake in the fruits of their labor,
and it directly influences the understanding that Moses wrote about Jesus.

John 5:46
For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me.

By showing that even the ancient law was designed with a higher spiritual application in mind.

Paul argues "Is it for oxen that God is concerned?"

The idea that Moses wrote about Jesus must be enforced in any reading of the law.

The law is not a set of written rules but a complex prophetic discourse on Christ and
the church.

In 1 Timothy 5:18, Paul quotes Jesus in "The worker is worthy of his wages" (Luke 10:7).

Christians are the "threshers" that do the work of spreading the gospel.

Paul is saying that Moses was writing with an eye toward the future ministry of the gospel.

Paul demonstrates that the Old Testament is not obsolete but contains principles that, when
interpreted through the lens of Christ, are meant for the encouragement and guidance of the Church.

In essence, Paul "unmuzzles" the law from its purely literal reading, to show that it was always
intended to point toward, that deeper spiritual understanding.

That is why they always quote from Exodus 34 and not Exodus 24.

Simply because in Exodus 24 there are no stone tablets written with God's finger.

The separation of the ten words from the ordinances is not visible at all in Exodus 24.

Yet, the whole law was written by Moses including the ten commandments in Exodus 24.

Everything the Lord spoke was written by Moses in Exodus 24.

They don't like Exodus 24.

But they can place a wedge in the law with the mention of the stone tablets in Exodus 34, and split
the law into 2 sections.

The two stone tablets written by God adds significant weight to their argument for a separation,
of the Mosaic law.
